We borrowed this KRX from our friends at Voodoo Fabrication here in Hurricane and went and played around on the “west rim” at Sand Hollow. It’s got his roll cage on it, System 3 wheels, Maxxis Roxxzilla tires, and a nice wrap from Uintah Designs.
It’s amazing how these things can crawl! All stock you can throw 35’s on and go! Sure, you lose some top end, but it still has that great low end crawl and the belt doesn’t seem to mind.
About the Channel:
We are 3 bearded dudes (Royce, Eric, and Ryan) with a passion for Off-Road. Located in Southern Utah, in St George/Hurricane. Being so close to Sand Hollow - the new Moab - we are fortunate enough to be able to get out and wheel more often than your typical weekend warriors.
On the channel we outline trails, and make recommendations on how to navigate them, we test and review and showcase UTV products, and try and experience the thrills of being off-road as often as we can!

I went from a rzr to a krx and blown away how much better it is.

i love the new "on camber" green button format lol. great video as always guys. there are lots of channels doing sxs stuff but you guys are by far the most fun to watch, love the joking around and busting each other's balls. too bad you didn't show the struggle to stand up with old man knees. #oldmanproblems y'all could've called it "crouching tiger, old man can't get up"

@@marka1712 that one had seats and HCR Long travel and the Fox electronic shocks, so it rode a bit nicer

Awesome video! It's funny how we start to make those grunt noises when getting up, or out of our machines. Getting old sucks. Not sure why people need more power, the KRX has enough power to snap axles and grenade diffs.

Those KRX seem to be well build. Patiently waiting for an option with a little more "sauce"
i have a 2021 with 35" zillas and it's not that bad, especially where i ride on the east coast but there are quite a few aftermarket companies doing things to wake it up. i'm waiting on the supercharger kit to come out and get the bugs worked out and i think i am gonna go that route. with another 50-75 wheel horsepower it will be a true beast
@@marka1712 ya, they aren’t “that bad”, but they’re probably the slowest 1000cc sport SXS available. They all have their pros and cons, and we love the KRX for the things it excels at

I know you said no gearing or clutching for that KRX on 35s. But do you think it would help? If so…. Can you make a video about it? I need details.
I don’t think gearing would be helpful.. just make it slower. There’s a chance clutching could help regain some of the slight power loss, but it’s not something we’ve really ever worried about. If we make any changes to our new one we will surely keep you posted!
I can't find this cage on voodoo website, do they still offer this one? They have a higher profile one but not the chopped look like this one

I have watched you all put 35's on well every rig you ride. And I've heard a few references of the suspension and drive "parts" you needed to upgrade because of the 35" tires. Maybe you could do a "run through" of what it takes ( parts and labor) to really be able to "run 35's on your UTV?"
On our RZR Turbo S’s, a transmission gear reduction was required. Same on the Polaris General. The General also required long travel suspension and upgraded axles. On our KRXs and our Turbo R, nothing was required.
Depending on the terrain and driving style, some people are required to upgrade their front differential and driveshaft, maybe axles (like if you live where you need to “spin tires” in rocky/muddy terrain)

How'd the stock axles & clutching hold up with the 35's? Low range only?
So far so good. Are you asking if we run in low only?

@@cavscout43 we still run it in high between rock trails. We’ve been in the sand, etc. It’s slow, but gets around. Worth the trade-off for us

Can you use 35's on a Kawasaki KRX 1000 (ES)?
Yes. 35s work fine, but 36 will rub if you have stock suspension
I'm way more worried about Royce giving up on dirt bikes. You can get a LOT of bikes for $100K!
My wrist is still jacked from my dirtbike wreck on 4th of July weekend… so, like they say… with age comes the cage! 😂 Even though I’m 31. Haha
How tall are you guys? For low profile cage you seem to have enough clearance
Bigger of the two - Ryan - is about 6’1. You can call voodoo and ask. Just say you’re asking about “Laynes white KRX 2 seater from the Off Camber video”. He will know which one and be able to tell you if he’s willing to make it or not

A Jeep! Omg, why would Royce want to drive 75% slower down trails and take pictures of every little pebble he has to flex over. Not to mention he would need a magnetic bumper to pick up all the parts that fall off.

From an x jeeper now sxs guy, the jeeps are more thrilling/scary because everything is so much more challenging. SxS make everything easy and anybody with half a brain can look like a stud. not to mention the sxs is a way more plush ride for old guys like me.

It looked like there was too much air in the tires.
We don’t like airing up and down, so they usually stay about 8 lbs

Lol a stock sxs are more capable than a built Jeep... A friend of mine told me that that owns built jeeps, Mud trucks, and minimal build sxs 🤷
SXS are innovating quickly - getter better fast! Good time to be alive
I believe a modded Jeep will crawl better that a comparably modded SXS for the shear fact they typically have taller tires and a longer wheelbase.
We ride at Hidden Falls near Austin, TX and there are some small waterfalls and stair steps that these rigged Jeeps can traverse that our SXS’s can’t tackle.
Of course, SXS’s have their advantages as well, especially in regard to speed, jumps and etc.
