This sucks! I downloaded the free instruments to test the Synchron player and the Vienna assistant, and it all works fine without a USB key or connection to the internet... So, feeling secure... I just bought the Syncron Prime Edition... but it turns out that for this patch VSL has decided that I must buy a ILOC USB Key, or use the cloudbased ILOC, which means that I must be connected to the internet to use their software.... I love the sound of VSL instruments, but your security measures make it harder to enjoy your product than the solutions from your competitors... Not sure if I will add any expansions to my VSL collection any time soon...
Hi Morten, sorry to see you so upset. Yes, it's iLok cloud or iLok key for our permanent licenses. I just checked, you have ordered in our webshop, so you can return your license within 14 days, no questions asked. We want you to be happy. - Paul

Why are not the library licenses enabled for "ilok machine"? Running over the cloud really reduces the sample loading speed for me. Buying a iLok dongle will maybe help but will also cost.
@@ViennaSymphonicLibrary For you information: I bought a dongle, it speed up loading time a little, but that was not the main problem for me. I reinstalled iLok License Manager completely and samples now loading fast again.

Exactly! I want plugins/libraries to JUST WORK in my DAW. I don't have the time to waste on this type of convoluted rubbish when I could be spending that time in a DAW composing/playing noise/music.
@@7thdestiny674 I also find it absurd even if I understand the Vienna strategy, to force you to uninstall and reinstall all the plugins to comply with an anti-piracy strategy that only those who have regularly purchased products suffer. Hours of time wasted. If Native or Sonokinetic forced me to do such a thing I would go crazy. I hope that the example of Vienna will not be followed by anyone. For this we must strongly condemn it.
So... do you first need to uninstall every VSL product from the computer, in order to make room and reinstall everything from the new Vienna Assistant? Or will the Vienna Assistant see the already existing VSL products on the hard drive / SSD, without needing to re-download and reinstall everything? Is a new installation mandatory? I have more than 2TB of VSL products... and not enough room for the current installation + a new installation if this is necessary. That's why I'm asking if I should first uninstall everything before moving on to iLok...
Yes, it is like I say in the video: All the sample content and software needs to be installed once again, in the iLok protected version. You can of course keep your existing eLicenser sample content, and your eLicenser licenses will keep on working as well... just not on the same computer at the same time. - Paul

banale Frage: wo bekomme ich den Ilok Key (verkaufts ihr den auch? ) - und welcher USB Anschluss is der, der an einen normalen Laptop geht? da gibts doch mehrere oder (A B C D etc etc...) - bitte um Aufklärung für ein technisches Nudelauge - dankeschön und küssd'iand 🙂

The number of free libraries they are now providing clearly shows how confident they are in folks wanting to use ilok.

I attempted to down load my purchased software and it is asking for elicense when I am using Ilok. What do I do???
