Professor Layton Franchise - All puzzle solving animations (2007-2017)

- I noticed that no one has ever made a compilation of the animations you see when solving or failing puzzles, and there are some that are rare to get (or you only see once), so I thought it would be cool to have them all in one place. I made sure to get every single possible animation in every game.
Angela and the duo of Layton and Phoenix don't have failing animations since they're not featured in a puzzle where you can lose, but I suspect that they may exist in the datafiles of their respective games. If there's a specific animation that you noticed I missed, please let me know.
The last animation I show its Edgeworth's, which is a special case since it's not really a puzzle animation, but it mimics one, you can see it on the bonus episodes from Layton vs Phoenix Wright, I wasn't able to download the DLC so I had to take the footage from another video which you can see here: • Professor Layton vs Ac...
Btw I probably won't update the video with New World of Steam since I can't capture video from a Switch, someone else will have to do it.

He barely gets any puzzles and they are usually pretty easy ones so I never heard it either
same it caught me so off guard lmaoo
I used to turn the volume down whenever I got the puzzle wrong because i didn't want to hear them being disappointed :(

I kinda love how they never really change Layton's puzzle solve animation, even when translated to 3D. The animators must have thought they really struck gold with that one, and I mean they did so...
No clue why but 8:08 where Descole fails and turns away from the camera is hilarious to me 😂😂 so dramatic you can’t not love the man

Ngl, prefer way more the og 2d animations, even the cutscenes and stuff were animated by hand and it was beautiful. I'm sad they didn't kept this style

Maya sounds VERY old in PLvsAA relative to being, literally 19 years old as of GS3 and PLvsAA.

As someone who has played with the French voices for all these years it sounds so weird to hear these people speak English (Especially Layton because he sounds older in English ? 😭)
It's a very good compiliation tho it's nice someone made one because I think a lot of us needed that 👁👁
Now don't get me wrong, I'm french too, and I love the french dubbing...
But for Layton, both the French and English one are good voices. The English one makes him sound more chill and thiking, while his french voice, in the person of Martial Leminoux, gives a more joyful and smiling tone.
Also for older Luke, the voice is more fitting than what we had in French xD No offense to Boris de Mourzich of course, but Yuri Lowenthal (who also voiced Randall) is better in my point of view for this role.
Oh and yeah, that's a very nice compilation ^^ and it makes me glad to see another french fan of Professor Layton !

Amazing compilation, thanks for making this! I haven't replayed Last Spectre so I didn't remember the secondary animations or how cute Luke's sprite was. Also I think you left the Unwound Future music playing for the Last Specter's card. 😅

i've always preferred the sound effects in the DS era, they're a bit over the top but in a good way imo :) the correct answer sound is a lot more satisfying than the 3DS one though!!

First time I'm hearing the English voices (I'm french) and GOD, how Older Luke's voice actor is better in the role than ours ! (no offense, Boris the Mourzitch, but Yuri Lowenthal absolutely nails it)
I've always been surprised that Inspector Chelmey, Barton, Inspector Grosky and Don Paolo never got puzzle solving animations
Inspector Chelmey and Barton do have them, but they're from an osbcure mobile game
I always forget Luke has different English voice actors for the us and uk, I'm so used to Lani Minella Luke
*had, since Lani was replaced by his UK voice completely as of Miracle Mask (or Spectre's Call, I haven't played/watched that one yet)
Im on the minority that prefers Luke's US voice actor, but I know the European voice is way more popular. And yeah, they got rid of the US voice since Miracle Mask

She still does some other characters, I believe. She did other females in the previous games too.

Oh didn't know the AA collab game get one of that animation too. I think i'm gonna try it but is it more leading to Layton / AA game ? Since somehow I cant play AA, it's just the game didn't fit my liking ?
I'd say it's like a 60/40 with the Layton sections having a bit more presence, since the investigation of Ace Attorney is not really present or it's mixed with the Layton investigation. If you like AA I'd say you play until the second witch trial, since it's the best part of the game

Yeah, so losing means you won't see it until you win 5 more new puzzles

I didn't, they don't solve puzzles like you do on the Professor Layton games, so they don't have animations similar to the ones I show.
I'm not trying to be rude, but I noticed there were a few missing! I remember a joint solve with Layton and Phoenix going "no objections" and I'm also pretty sure there's one where Randall says "every puzzle has an answer"

The one you mention with Randall, and Phoenix & Layton are just extra voice lines tho. I'm not showing all the dialogues here since that would be waaay longer than 12 minutes, some characters have 6 responses for failing and winning, I might make another video for that if this one gets enough attention. However, I completely missed the Darklaw animation you mentioned D: I couldn't play the DLC so I didn't remember that, thank you for mentioning it.

It's more like he's after Katrielle's, since he's part of a DLC and not from the base game. And it's a nice end to the video, since LMJ characters are boring

I'm played SC on DraStic, and it's using linear filter for spites, so they are clear. Yes, pixelated, but clear
But probably you choose emulator which isn't using this kind of filtration as default. And DS-animations looks kinda blurry
Also, in HD we have audio with better quality. I don't know was Flora redubbed in LF HD, or it's just a quality, but... Gosh, how terrible she sounds here. In HD it's also kinda terrible (what they done to her... I know that actress could do better) but this is a new (or old?) level of terribleness
@@Mad_Man_With_A_Box I used MelonDS, and it's actually using a better quality than what an original DS offers, but I do recognize that the quality could be better with other configurations, I never used that emulator before so that's the best I could do. I could make in the future another video including every voice line and use that opportunity to include HD versions and the Darklaw animation I missed.
