A LOT of the "gay" stereotypes came about from the VILLAGE PEOPLE (flamming gay band of the late 70s thru mid 80s) who came out with the song "In the Navy" which had a few gay insinuations.

The Navy is the best. Wanna travel the world? Join the Navy. Wanna fly jets? Join the Navy. Wanna shoot big ass guns on badass boats? Join the Navy SWCC. Wanna shoot bad guys in the face wherever they may be? Become a Navy SEAL. Wanna tat up? Join the Navy. You wanna have a beard and longish hair? Well....you have to be a SEAL for that. Moral of the story is that you should just join the Navy. Oh and also the Navy has the best budget.

That's funny JT my son scored high enough to be in nuclear, he's in boot camp right now and he was told by the Chief that he was a little unusual but that's ok, my sons IQ is high so he comes off as being a little different he was also home schooled from 4th grade thru high school graduation so he didn't have any high school experience, also his intelligence is highly refined he doesn't talk like a typical 20 year old. I am 22 y/o I went to MEPS took my ASVAB less than a year ago and scored like a 24 I can't remember exactly. But I was so disappointed that I didn't pass because I was ready to go to boot physically but messed up trying to wing a 4 hour test. I know I have to kick these current bad habits but I'm to stuck right now.

Hey JT I've been watching your videos for a couple months now, you've got me interested in the navy so much now I'm joining. I took my asvab today at the armory and got a 74. I go to Meps in charlotte in 2 days, I don't know what to do for a job, there's so many, what would you recommend, I like computers, but aviation sounds pretty cool too, I don't want to get stuck with a crappy job.

My family has strong ties with the army. My dad and brother are currently serving in the army, but I plan on joining the navy. Not gonna lie, I was hesitant on wanting to join the navy because I thought my family would think I'm gay or something because all the stereotypes you hear about the navy lmfao.

When I was at MEPS in 2001, we had to sign/take an oath that we would not engage in "homosexual behavior ". I guess they were having a problem. I can't imagine how things are, now that everything is all PC and inclusive. 😏
