Your quiet progress is what we need in this messed up world. Love these programmes
Absolutely!
Echo that. So soothing and full of good vibes.
Love the "Grumpy Old Gits Garden"!
You just don't know how much you helped this household get through covid-19, all we had to do was peep over your shoulder again and there we were chugging along, enjoying it all with you.
That means alot thank you
Thank you Robbie for bringing this to me when I’m down . It really helps me.
Ten out of ten for enjoyablity. Feeling more relaxed and thanks so much for the chat and joy.
Beautiful scenery. This is part of why we really like your channel. Life is not perfect. You show the real scenery, you are kind and sometimes poke fun at yourself. You show real pubs and honest daily
life. However, you don’t whine about what just broke on your boat. What are you going to do to try to fix it, blah, blah, blah. Thanks Robbie!!!
Thank you Sharon that’s a lovely comment, made my day
Lol never would have thought that would be what the music video for that song was. Mind blown!
Very happy that the Naughty lass..passed her inspection..BUT!!..rather concerned and comforted that like me..(that those random things)...may come in useful again..one day..some situation..perhaps never..But imagine not being prepared..😅😅😂👍
Just a pointer: Always introduce fuel additives when you fill the tank. This allows the liquids to blend, for proper performance. Pouring the bug killer in by itself, will just let the additive settle into it's own "pool", and could be pumped into the engine at a much higher ratio than the engine can burn. Bug killer works on all places the fuel touches, so it is best to get as much mixed in as possible, for it to do as much good as possible.
Oh! And, be sure you have a few extra fuel filters on hand, as the growth will slough off and start to clog lines and pumps.
Hi Robbie. Good old Lister engines. Last for ever. I’ve come across many of different types working on various farms throughout my life.
I been away fro my boat for two weeks, came back to water in the bilge had a mental xmas,
Oh Rhys does my BSS too, known him for a few years now, you have reminded me to pass his number onto a mate moored near by.
Turning 40 this year, you young un you.
Catch up soon xxxxx
Robbie. Last year I was in ICU and your channel cheered me up no end. Now I am back in ICU with that darn Covid bug. Keep them coming. John
Louise. Human League. Whole vid on canal. Great band and song🕺
OHO!...John Smith's... been a right while since I had a pint... not easy to find here in Canada. I prefer bitters pale ales and honest IPA's to the stouts BUT I do not dislike them either (there is a time and a place for all) we have a few fine stouts to be had over here as well. None of your "thin potations" (Fallstaff, I believe) but sturdy pints. I read, one time, an answer from a photographer to the question "what is your favorite camera"? The answer was "the one that I am holding at any given time". I feel much the same way about my favorite pint.
Thanks Robbie, from across the pond !
A touch of the lugubrious in recent posts. I wonder at the solitary life, threading the network and entering a fifth decade.
If you ever want a break in Portugal, a warm welcome awaits.
There is a reason for that but not one I can share at the moment. What a lovely offer though thank you
Great vlog, and great company mate. Happy cranking in 2022.
A pleasure riding along with you… thx💜
Have a good year Robbie!
Great way to end an evening. Cleaning the Lister and pub of the week :)
Five years in six months, phew! Am now up to date with your great vlogs Robbie. I've really enjoyed your presenting style, funny and informative at the same time. Best wishes for 2022! :)
Well done that is some serious bilge-watching!!! Cheers!!
same! few more eps and im caught up too, you're somehow really good to watch robbie 😄 i put it down to your humour, stressful moments and of course your impeccable editing 😁 look forward to your future travels, btw, having your car is going to ruin pub of the week for you! get rid! haa
Keep Going Robbie.👍🏼
Awesome jams at 14:00. Love hearing the Lister. Keep cranking.
Top hat Robbie !!
Quality, creativity and observation is what you offer. Innovation and novelty is not always necessary. You are appreciated.
Hi fella , we saw your boat moored at Ferrybridge when you were there and a few days before when we came through Bingley 5 rise I spoke to Eddie Reader while she was site seeing at the top lock and I got her to sign my Nicholson’s guide
I'm looking forward to your vlogs. Your narration and video are such a wonderful treat. Every good wish to you in this new year.
Thank you Mark that’s very kind of you gives me motivation to actually get on with it!!
Robbie that was masterclass mate, thanks so much. I was very much in need of your humour and a nice bit of cruising. Take care , looking forward to your next one 👍
Cheers Robbie - Happy Cranking New Year, looking forward to more content buddy.

great video Robbie looking forward to some more in the future
Happy New Year Robbie. I'm glad you got your safety certificate. The examiner seemed to have a good attitude. Enjoyed your pub of the week. Looking forward to more of your adventures in 2022. Take care.
Happy New Year Robbie, looking forward to more adventures on the Naughty Lass
Best wishes for the new year Robbie. Can't wait to see what you have going on for 2022. Rhys seemed like a nice guy. Here in CA we have to get our cars smogged every two years and most of the time the mechanics are not very happy or helpful. Seeing you working on your boat reminded me I need to spray some fogging oil down my carbs of my jetski.
Happy New Year, Robbie! Can't get bored with your videos! 😄👍
Happy New Year. Hope the stuff you’ve been up to is good stuff.
Happy New year Robbie interesting that about your boats safety certificate 😃 keep on cranking 👍
Happy New Year Robbie. You are one of a small band of CZcamsrs who are wholesome to watch. It does you good.
Great vid, looking forward to many more #keepcrankingit
Best wishes for 2022 Robbie. More crank it crew and "pub of the week!!" Robbie's cooking skills, looking forward to seeing your new videos coming up. Take care, missed you over the Christmas and New Year holidays.🤗🤗
We've missed your videos so was great to watch this last night. Looking forward to the next. We've seen all of your vlogs at least once and love them. Thank you ☺️
Brilliant thanks 😁👍👏👏👏
Lovely stretch of water, we loved traveling to York years ago via Aire & Calder and were even lucky enough to have witnessed the old coal barges still in operation up there off loading the coal, last time we went through there was very sad to see all the tug boats tied up with nowhere to go
One positive aspect of the safety scheme other than the safety value, is the cost savings in fixing a gas leak. As much as Liquid Propane costs, you don’t want it just expelled in the atmosphere. That’s heating and cooking lost!
Diesel bug IS a thing! I've twice had this in car diesel, both times from supermarket diesel. Basically, white smoke on starting after being parked overnight, not otherwise (for cars).
What's going on is bacteria growing in water droplets in the diesel fuel. Biodiesel is more prone to this than mineral diesel, because of the chemical structure of it.
To stop diesel bug, you need a detergent in the diesel. That makes water dissolve in the diesel oil, exactly same idea as washing up liquid, only that's making oil dissolve in water.
Detergent in diesel makes life much harder for diesel bug bacteria. That additive will also have bacteria killer in it, not much because the detergent does most of the work. It'll also have injector lubricants, a surfactant to make diesel spray better (makes the injectors do a better job and the diesel burns cleaner) and a cetane booster to pep up the diesel power a bit.
Which one to use? I dunno, I always used to use Miller's diesel treatment, but I dare say the treatments are much of a muchness.
Keep some diesel cleaner handy as well; useful to clean things out in a hurry. Final thing, keep a spare fuel filter handy, diesel cleaning additive often frees up a load of muck out of the tank and that'll end up in the filter.
The crank. Keep cranking, Robbie. Happy New year!
Great video. Two thumbs up…
Loving the Griffin
Great video as always, hope you have a pleasant cruise into 2022. Very cozy looking little pub, I really wish we had places like that in my area.
Happy new year Robbie. Looking forward to watching the content you give us this year. All the best for 2022!😁

Great to hear the chug of the Naughty Lass for the first time in 2022. Happy new year buddy.
Happy New Year Robbie! Looking forward to seeing what you've been up to 🤓
I used to know a guitar teacher / professional musician you can guess which he was insured as. I used to do P.A. hire and DJ . I was insured as a sound engineer.
Nice to see pub of the weeeeeeeeek - and you back happy new year xxx

Hi Robbie. I’m really enjoying your canal boat diaries. Watched all the four series, and the odd ones. Is there a fifth series coming up? Regards Paul L.
Another entertaining and informative vlog. Thanks Robbie.
Best wishes for 2022. I’m looking forward to hearing about whatever it is that’s keeping you busy! No doubt it’s something exciting.
It is I assure you although life does have it’s ups and downs doesn’t it. Thanks for the comment and best wishes to you too
Robbie - Happy New Year to you too. So "exciting news later in the year", eh? Well, I hope it's a Canal Boat Diaries Series 3 because the first 2 series were superb. Equally, something else canal related will be just as interesting I'm sure. Anyway, all the best for 2022 - Tim
Have a great new year Robbie
Happy New Year,All the Best in 22.

Happy New year all the best for 2022👍
That graffiti artist gets everywhere! I think they are from Paignton, seen their work outside Lidl ;) Happy New Year sir!
New camera big guy? Looked fantastic! Happy new year and all the best man
Hello Robbie,
Enjoyable viewing... pleased to see you in fine spirits...
Take care.
Paul,,
Happy New Year Robbie, all the best for 2022. Diesel Bug is becoming a nuisance in the motor industry too, always replace the fuel filters regularly at scheduled times, any blockages will soon starve the components of fuel ( which also lubricates ) causing pumps and injector to seize. Keep up the great work......
Good to see you again Robbie .. nice vid mate.
have a cranking new year
Happy New Year Rob 🎉🥂🪅
Happy new year. On the subject of pub signs (around the drinking areas), one of the best I've seen was screwed to one corner section of the bar and it said "Bulls**t Corner" and having spent many an hour there and knowing most of the usuals who drank there, the sign was ludicrously accurate :)
Really enjoyed catching up on your recent activities as always.. My ol dad loved canal walks ..he never actually got to have one or ride on one, but its always been a fascination for the family... so its nice to live some of this this through your videos... keep on crankin.. Will you ever be able to travel around the Norfolk Broads? I imagine the access is a little difficult for the Naughty Lass, but is there anywhere left for you to explore?
Hi Mac funny I’ve booked a norfolk broads trip for later this year for my 40th birthday with the lads 😬
Happy new year Robbie
Like a boat's M.O.T. then, better safe than sorry. I always thought it was as my old man always said, Prevention is Better Than Cure. Better that all is o.k. rather than ruddy dangerous and possibly harmful to you.
Nice one Robbie. 👍 cunningly edited to make it a relaxed visit with you..... very skillful! Diesel bug is a thing but keeping your tank full and using that type of additives with be all you should have to do. That old lister will never let you down because of Diesel bug 🐛
Keep on cranking.....
All the best for 2022....A Happy 40th Birthday........
happy new year robbie
Happy New Year Robbie 🎉
Nice one Robbie. Happy New year
Always good when you post a vlog Robbie.
Happy 2022 to you.
Pleased Naughty Lass passed her BSS !
Remember remember to sort your chimney fire cement out since carbon monoxide can seep through into the boat and God forbid you fell asleep in front of your fire and never woke up !
Keep safe warm dry and virus free.
It is the same for me with insurance because I am a chef and work on license premises
Happy New year Robbie
Thanks Robbie have one on me ha. stay safe God bless.
