When Grace was teaching the kids English, I wish they would’ve kept that in the movie. It’s beautiful how she was teaching them numbers and how much she admire them.
In the deleted scene with the school she says they were learning English faster than she could teach them. Shows how fast the Na'vi learn and how they truly are not as "primitive" and "dull" as the humans think.
@@braydenjones4738 eventually if some know the language they probably teach them to others too, I also like how they make fun of the finger difference since grace has human dna on her avatar lol
It's really heartwarming to see Grace reuniting with her students. It kind of provides her the enclosure that the children still liked her and miss her even though her school closed down because of RDA's actions They called her "sa'nok" which means mother for a reason and it's clear why, she closed down her school not because she was just guilty, but also to protect her beloved children like any mother would do.
At first I didn't get the line "When you see nothing, you will see everything". It was nonsensical for me. Later I understood that in order to truly see connections between all living things one must look beyond what eye can see
Close. Notice she says that when she's tracking down the prey with hearing. To be able to "see" you need to become entuned with more than your eyes. Your whole body needs to be engaged in the action. Every sense needs to come alive. Things fall in place then. Because as you realize that every sense and system in your body are interconnected. We are also part of a greater system (humanity) and body (mother earth). We are moving parts. Humans forgot how to listen. To nature. To each other. To our own bodies. When you decide to stop seeing the world through the eyes of a system that sees you and values you only as a producer then you see everything else.
Well said, new things to consider. Indeed there are this dissconnections, between body and self, between people, humans and other creatures. Walking through that, attempting to get in tune is challenging sometimes, it brings grief. But is healing also.
@@aleksbug853 Yes, it is supposed to bring grief. The system we live under uprooted us from our humanity. When you start addressing that disconnect, allowing yourself to truly feel it, then you must grieve all that you've lost. Only then the healing starts.
I wish they would've at least kept the material with grace and the school kids. It really would've added another layer of connection to their exchange in knowledge and culture.
Damn they actually have Norm visit the village in these deleted scenes. Sucks they didn’t include that in the original or extended versions. He really deserves a break.
_"The troopers pursued them to the school. They killed Sylwanin in the doorway; right in front of Neytiri, and then shot the others. I got most of the kids out. But they never came back."_
My guess is this was early in production and training kids to have an accent isn't very easy. They could just reshoot or voice over if the scene was going to be finished.

I’m glad they took it out the American accents ruined it
"the forest hasnt given permission" is an interesting line
I`m agree.

It’s like a reminder to not over hunt… wish humans would do the same when hunting wild animals.

They should’ve kept these extra scenes because it builds so much interesting lore of Omaticaya and Graces school within a matter of minutes. 😢

They should have kept the scene of grace with the navii kids and norm speaking with Moat
I loved it so much. Moat saying “He speaks well,” made me so proud for Norm. That shows he was immediately accepted.

Look i'm high af but the face that Jakes does at 2:09 is making me crying while laughing
I love how the kids sound perfectly American while they are supposed to speak broken English
Why would their English be broken? Those kids actually went to school for English, the other Na'vi only learned by observation
You forgot that Na’vis are very much intelligent and quick to learn anything.
@@Forgotten_Lemon Neytiri was one of the best students but still has an accent.
They don't speak broken English. They just had an accent.
@@SleepyFei666 an accent doesn’t mean you speak broken English tho.

The children didn’t need to learn English, but the Na’vi passed it down to them for what-if reasons.
I mean negotiation with humans would never happen if they don't learn communication.
2:05 I love the music ♡ I even love their partially rendered models ♡
Ngl I would happily watch a version with all the deleted scenes whether they’re rendered or not. They add so much to the story
They might be able to finish these scenes for flashbacks
Freeze at 00:36
The two first Na'vi children next to Grace's avatar look like Neytiri and Tsu'tey.
Serán?
I wish this stayed in the movie with grace teaching the kids words numbers . But I guess Jim wanted to make it more simple.
Very nice. But also glad James Cameron knew when to trim down scenes
"Sometimes i have no idea what she's talking about"
I love you kids are so funny and cute grace
If Grace was still alive
How would she interact with the Sully kids in the 2nd film?
And believe they deleted norm talking to mo’at :(
that was so cute :((
Ugh why are they always cutting out some of the best scenes!?😖

1234. 5 😆🥰
Why does jake look like anonug in the deleted scenes
why do the kids sound so american they dont sound na vi at all
Grace's taught them american english
My guess is because they went to Grace's school before it was shut down
My guess is this was early in production and training kids to have an accent isn't very easy. They could just reshoot or voice over if the scene was going to be finished.
What was the point in teaching them English though? When would they need that really?
So they can communicate with the humans living on Pandora obviously
