I really wish they had kept this scene. Neytiri saying she chooses Jake would’ve been impactful for her as a character. Zoe explained in an interview for Avatar 2 that Neytiri wanted zero part of playing the role that was expected of her. She wanted to just live her life among her people without that type of responsibility. Her choosing Jake was her putting herself first and did what SHE wanted as opposed to what was expected of her. Now that she chose him, she had no choice but to give up her position as Tskarem (even though she was reinstated when Jake became clan leader). They never explored this part of her character in the movie.
In the movie they made tsu'tey look weak but in this he looks so strong. I wish they at least made him look stronger in the movie. Like he is not the future leader for nothing yk
right, t'sutey was never a bad guy - an ass at times, sure - but he wasn't an antagonist like quaritch or parker whatshisname. he was raised to be a tough guy, next in line for the throne. he loved sylwanin and was looking forward to marrying her before she was killed, and he was probably just coming to terms that it'd be neytiri he'd marry. he probably also took it as rejection, so while it doesn't excuse his behavior, its understandable.
I wouldn't say they made him weak. All the hunters from the Omatikaya respected him and Eytukan made him the leader of the war party after the tree of voices were destroyed. Furthermore we also have the scene at the end where he kills like 6 RDA soldiers with his hands and bow before being shot down. We also got an extra scene with him in the extended edition where he is able to clean kill a sturmbeest as he rides his own Ikran, which is something that isn't done by Na'vi who were closer to the beasts riding Pa'lis.
That scene was great! Why was it deleted? The way Tsutey was swinging that staff was so damn good (and intimidating). Would have looked great fully animated.
Mo'at is right though. Jake can't link to his avatar forever. It's only a matter of time before he's completely recalled and Neytiri would be bereft of a mate and a chance for a better life as tsahik. She'd be widowed and left with a child (as it resulted in the conception of their son. A heartbreaking path.
I'm glad they took this one out. It's weird that Na'vi women would have no say in who they're coupled with in a society where they can be hunters and warriors alongside men. Neytiri especially... it's ridiculous to think that someone as strong-willed as her would go along with just being denied a say in her own life/future.
@@bellaamaral1117 True. But then again, what is practical in a society often clashes with what is the norm. Neytiri is the daughter of the chief, but she cannot be the heir. So she can only be betrothed to the one who would be the next leader rather than.
This is more so b/c of her rank in the tribe. Her family has been in a position of duty and responsibility for at least 5 generations. Since there wasn't a male in the family to succeed her father Tsu'tey was selected permitting sylwanin was his mate. They loved each other, but she died. That's why neytiri was promised instead. Olo'eyktan and tsahik are usually mated pairs. That's why mo'at says if she chooses this path she'd never be tsahik. It's spitting in the eye of cultural tradition and her societal responsibility she's been trained for. Her family and Tsu'tey shouldn't have found out like this. A conversation should have been had before mating to avoid the scandal. All that said, the ultimate decision is left to eywa. When a couple makes the bond they share good memories, future possibilities, and endorphins, a physical and conscious connection. If eywa determines the coupling to be objectionable the pleasant feelings are reversed and they have to find another mate promised or love match a like.
@@canecorsomami2104 You say, "Her family shouldn't have found out like this," but Neytiri knew exactly what she was doing. @@angryshadeofpink we don't know that. I've seen nothing that would give me the sense they would force her into a marriage with Tsu'tey given an objection. He couldn't connect with a future mate or children. He wouldn't go against eywa, neither would mo'at as tsahik. This wasn't the right way to do this.
I really wish they would have put all of the deleted scenes, finished and CGI complete and put everything into the movie in their correct order and I would watch it. I don’t care how long it would be.

Holy shit, that is actually really good! I wish we could have seen it in the movie though.

Agreed

Exactly
Bro facts I was thinking the exact same thing in the movie tsu'tey went down in three hits at least in this deleted scene he put up a fight

At first I thought Tsu'tey loved Neytiri and that he was jealous of Jake, but then I learned about Sylwanin's story...
That scene was great! Why was it deleted? The way Tsutey was swinging that staff was so damn good (and intimidating). Would have looked great fully animated.

True. It should be an extended cut.
we need some of the music from these deleted scenes to be released
This scene looks so good, they should not had ticked it out 😪
That... was intense
I love when trudy always warn her friends,,,
FOREVER MAD THEY DELETED THIS IT COULD'VE BEEN SOO INTERESTING
Why didn't Jake punch Quaritch back in the face when he was disrespecting Neytiri at this point right to his face? 6:05
This nigga Jake can’t walk bro how he gon fight off Quartrich
He was in the same with quaritch loyal soldiers if he done anything to he was probably go to hunt down and kill jake wife Neytiri as punishment for jake retaliation
If avatar was a PlayStation 1 game
This would have been the best part of the movie . But I guess James Cameron had to cut the scene cause it was too wild .
Damn! This is crazy af
Lyle:Let's go,traitor
Jake:Ai!!!🤕 5:55
Oh holy damn… this was the scene….
I support Neytiri's choice 1:15
they should’ve had this part in the movie!!
That's so cool 😎
This was good
I love this so much why they don't show there

But the soundtrack is using 300.
Is that 300 music in the background?
Avatar ps1
The more I rewatch this movie the more Quaritch makes some pretty solid points
No he doesn't.
Like WHAT
No
quaritch literally invaded THEIR planet, his points never mattered, it was never his business, the nerve.
