    Great tips Alex. This video has brightened my day. Love Soller and Port de Soller. Getting to Valldemossa by bus is a great idea as it was very busy and very difficult to park a car in last year. Many thanks, John

      Absolutely John, it is the best way to travel around the villages... it can be very stressful to take the car during Summer. And thanks for the lovely comment!

    Alex, stop telling everyone 🤣❤ Those train seats are uncomfortable...well, they were for me!
    Yes, please can you do the bus routes, tickets, etc. especially where it stops near Soller Town.

    Great information. I’ve done the train to Soller, but next time I will try the bus especially if it goes around the villages. Also I prefer old town side streets rather than the port I find it much more interesting, well everybody’s different I guess. Thanks Alex.

      Great idea Diane - there does seem to be a tourist trail, but it's nice to get off it sometimes!

    We went to Port of Soller by train & tram March 2024. Not crowded and the views were stunning. Make sure you visit the port.

    We got the bus from valldemossa to port de soller, what a wonderful journey via Deia. Some spectacular views and very skilled bus driver. Took the tram to soller but couldn't get the train back to palma as it was fully booked so agree you should ideally book in advance

    My top tip: Go sooner rather than later if you can. I was in Mallorca in late March last year and it was fantastic. Great weather and fewer fellow tourists. Late at night you can have a place like Soller to yourself. Enjoy!!

    Loved Soller - stayed in the Hotel Salvia and it was amazing. My wife and I walked down to the Port a few times for lunch in the restaurants recommended by the owners of the Salvia and it did not disappoint.

    From Palma to Soller, which is the best side to sit on on the train? 🚂

    • @MallorcaUnderTheSun
      @MallorcaUnderTheSun  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Haha, great question. I haven't been on the train ride for years but I'm hoping to go this Spring. I also wouldn't worry too much as the train weaves through the valley going left to right so you will get lovely views either way. The views leaving Palma aren't amazing until you get through the mountains, and there is a stop to get out and admire the views, so it doesn't matter where you sit!

    Hi Alex! Great video! Any recommendations for parking in Soller? I’m visiting Mallorca in 2 weeks 🤗

  • @chris3341
    @chris3341 Před 2 měsíci

    My tip is either get the earliest train or hire a car. When I went people were pushing to get back on because people waited for the last train back and there was double the train capacity.

    • @MallorcaUnderTheSun
      @MallorcaUnderTheSun  Před 2 měsíci

      Oh goodness, Soller has become too popular for it's own good. Even driving is a nightmare with the parking.
