  • I can’t wait to have a pulled groin!!
    -said no one ever.🙄
Curious if you pulled your groin?
✅ You feel like there’s one big ass thumb tack shoved in the hip?
✅ When you bent over to pick up that $20 bill, you almost 💩 out your kidney?
    ✅ You’re an athlete?
The groin mechanics load up into active rotation around the head of the femur in almost every sport. What happens is that the abductors get pushed into an overstretch and the adductors load and either pull or tear.
    -
The problem is that the adductors are constantly firing to help balance your pelvis. So not only do you have a groin injury, you also move like there’s a loaded barbell hanging from your junk (yep, either or.....😈). Your stride becomes narrow and the the Psoas gets engaged in internal femoral rotation. The external hip rotators (TFL, Glute Med/Min primarily) get turned off faster than hearing grandma next door ‘gettin some’.
    -
What happens most often is that the glute disengages on the injured side and the pelvis gets loaded diagonally, forcing the QL to fire and to recruit paraspinals as hip extensors on the injured side.
    -
Now you walk like you just caught a shopping cart in the heel and you drop horsepower 80/20 down each leg.
    THE FIX:
    1️⃣ Banded lateral shuffle
    2️⃣ Medball hip bridge squeeze.
    3️⃣ Barbell toe tap.
    4️⃣ Froggie Stretch.
BOOM! Go enjoy your groin! Smash you later!
