    1 how did your intake tube fall off the throttle body so easy?
    2 where is your front skid plate?

    Good video…but I’m confused-did I miss it, or is this missing the metal brace underneath that mounts with a 13mm nut and a 10mm triple square bolt?

    • @chickenfixn4439
      @chickenfixn4439 Před rokem +3

      Yes that is the brace. You wont be able to get it out without removing both bolts. I also removed the throttle body and intercooler piping to make it easier to access the driver side intake manifold bolts

      @@matthewdelgado7515 Guessing that's because someone removed it. It was a royal pain to remove, but I finally did, and it didn't go back in when I finished the install. I've since learned that many people leave it off since it's not entirely necessary.

    I did this on my 2010 VW Passat, I also replaced the fuel injectors. Now the engine shakes and won’t get above 2 rpm before cranking off. It’s giving me the code p2149 the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a problem with one of the fuel injectors in a specific circuit (group B). In suggestion on what I got to do?

    • @YOUCANIC
      @YOUCANIC  Před 5 měsíci +1

    Well, it is obvious this Manifold has been previously removed. There is a center brace that's bolted to the engine block and to the center bottom of the Manifold. It is virtually impossible to access the bolt (12 point triple square) to the block and the 10mm nut on the bottom of the Manifold without removing the Throttle Body! So, guys, before jumping into this job, keep my comments in mind. I'm presently removing the Intake Manifold from the engine in my 2011 Tiggy for the second time ... both times due to that poorly designed Water Pump Contraption. Hope this helps!

      I just did mine on a 2011 tiguan, i also needed a revised fuel rail as the old one did not fit. But no the intake manifold did not need to be programmed. All i did was clear the codes and I ran a output test using obd eleven but you don't need to.
