Fun fact: my son applied to Oxford and I said what makes you think I can afford that! But college tuition is the same here whatever college you pick. So Oxford is the same as everywhere else. Can you imagine Harvard costing the same tuition as Arkansas State University 😮?

I read about that when I was internet stalking...I mean, learning more about him. I love when folks overcome and make it to the top. I hope he's a good person and not a jerk in real life.

@@watchwithmeellebee a person sees all kinds of famous people when living in L.A., and I have seen Barry! He was standing in a parking lot outside of a Beverly Hills Starbucks at night, by himself, on his phone. No idea what he was doing, but the energy was "waiting for a hired car to show up."
I didn't say anything to him, but it was definitely him because of that distinctive face, and he seemed really normal. You don't always see a celebrity just hanging out by himself in a Starbucks parking lot, waiting for a ride.
(He probably wasn't waiting for his plug, if ykwim. Unless he's REALLY normal. Pretty much everyone of means will meet their plug in the bathroom of an establishment, or the bathroom at someone else's house party, but never in the parking lot of a Bev Hills Sbux.)

I just watched this movie because I saw you reviewed it. It's like Ripley if he was crazier. The performances were on point because this was deeply uncomfortable and tense to watch. I actually felt bad for the rich people for once. They didn't see Ollie coming. Nor his yam 👀
I enjoyed Ripley more, but this one was more shocking in so many ways. This movie was like TTMR's wayward brother 😂

I think it's funny how I immediately thought of The Talented Mr. Ripley while watching this film, then I check out the reaction to this film of the socials... and everybody else was thinking of the exact same movie! 😅 And I love The Talented Mr. Ripley so much that I purchased it. This guy is crazier and more deliberate than Ripley, though. Ripley played the cards he was dealt. Oliver was the one dealing the cards.
Oh for sure! I think Ripley did this kind of movie a bit better, but the comparisons are super valid!

I loved this movie. I went in thinking it was going to be a Talented Mr. Ridley meets The Great Gatsby. Boy, was I wrong. More like Serial Killer Liar. It was so good mainly because it was different from most all movies we get today. Barry Keoghan was phenomenal as was the rest of the cast. Rosemund Pike was in top form and Richard E. Grant was perfect as the clueless father in this. Your Jacob Elordi comment was funny to me. I’m only 5’2” and would love to just stand next to him and see the difference in height😂😂😂 Happy New Year, Elle!!!!!! Keep sharing your thoughts bc I love it❤

One of my 3rd grade teachers was named Laoise. She was from Dublin, when we found out that her name is pronounced Lee-Sha the entire class was confused. 😂

Those people weren't ready for the ultimate predator that Oliver was.
Olive got on Elsbeth in her bed at deaths door and said, " I hated all of you. You were so easy like fat puppies laying with your stomach in the sun." Than he crawled up her body talking about you weren't ready for this predator!
I think Oliver wanted Salt burn and did what he had to do including the sister and the cousin to get it all!
And he did!
Loved the ending from Oliver explaining it all to the naked Dance.

OMG ElleBee...SO grateful you watched and commented on this wild movie...you crack me up!! I was left hanging with all the shock, awe, questions, and problematic plot gaps...! Where were the dozens of over-protective servants when Oliver was killing off the family? Why'd the police/town/neighbors/friends/servants/accountants/lawyers/financial managers and whoever else is involved with THAT much old moola not question why the fam were all dying under mysterious and sudden circumstances? Why didn't the cousin who was banished come back to accuse Oliver (who he always suspected of being a shady opportunist) once his relatives were being systematically 'offed?' This story had so much potential and I loved seeing the OTT house + grounds-plus that naked dance at the end was priceless. But for me, it all jumped the shark with these ridiculous plot fails that require an unreasonable willingness to suspend disbelief...
Yeah, the fact that no one else was around to question any of the events that were happening definitely didn't make sense, but I think this movie was all about suspending reality, because this would RARELY happen in real life.
Another great movie i've seen, but have not watched. You really have the magical ability of strorytelling, so much so that I don't need to watch the movie, I just add pictures to your reviews. Thanks Elle!

This movie was honestly a waste of 2 hours and some change that I can't get back in my life. Only reason why I watched it was because I saw that you did a video on it.

I think he plotted from the beginning. We saw how early on he gave Felix the flat tire on his bike so that he could “rescue” him. Why he did these things…who knows. He’s just a psycho I guess. 😂

My question did he really go as a scholarship student or did he go there because he was trying to get close to Felix and his money? and was there a vendetta from past family feud long time ago. Now let me tell you what show really had me clutching my pearls with the sex scenes. That would be Fellow Travelers. I wasn’t ready.
And Red, White, & Royal Blue had one of sweetest, best “first” sex scenes between Alex & Henry.

Listen I saw this movie and really loved it. A few scenes made me wanna upchuck but overall I liked it.
My dude had plenty yams to share with us and I am not complaining lol. I’ve had a crush on him since the Eternals.
Upchuck is a funny word to me, despite what it means. 😂 I thought Barry was adorable in Banshees from Inosheirin (sp?) so to see him like this was a shock. I HATED his character in the Eternals! I think…only saw it once the day it came out. It was the first MCU movie I wasn’t a fan of. 😫

@26:30 i think part of the joke of the movie was that it was poking fun at how stoic english/british is. Especially old school! Ever heard of the "stiff upper lip" saying. I'm pretty sure it comes from their way of dealing with emotions. Of course they think americans are drama queens. LOL
And yea, the scene was really darkly funny because everyone is so incredibly devastated but they are trying so hard to have "civilized conversation" and EAT their lunch! Dark! 😂

I did not know this movie was done by the same woman who did Young Promising Woman. This movie was better, because this is a movie I could watch several times. YPW is a one-time watch.

I finally watched today after all the hype. I mean…the acting from the main character was excellent…but the movie was just okay. Can’t let strangers just come in and live 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️a mess lol some of it was nasty…but I was trying to get the pint of the film..good acting though.
