I propose that the ones that receive debt forgiveness should in turn pay an additional percentage for income tax to be put into a fund to pay for working non college peoples vehicles, and clothes, day care, along with people working in the trades to pay for work trucks, equipment/clothing specific to their trade and their tools. Plus pay any debt for attending trade schools. Seems fair. I am sure they wouldn't complain.

Unfortunately, they really can't, as any enforcement is Executive Branch, that is controlled, of course, by Biden. Congress could impeach him. The Supreme Court operates on the understanding of respect for the decisions. Only once in history did a president flat out refuse to comply. I believe in was Jackson. I don't remember the specifics. I think it was a state's rights issue.

How is he getting around the Supreme Court’s ruling? What happens to someone who defied a Supreme Court ruling? Can’t he be held in contempt or something?
The Supreme Court has no enforcement authority. They can only rule on what the law is. Congress and the DOJ have enforcement authority. Biden owns the DOJ, so it falls to Congress to act. They can impeach Biden. Also, the House has the power to withhold funding. But, if they do, banks that issued these loans would be left holding the bag. The repercussions on bank solvency could be disasterous, not to mention the impact on our credit system. The federal governments credit rating would tank, and borrowing costs would skyrocket.

I borrowed to attend college. I signed contracts to that effect. I paid off my loans over time and in compliance with the contracts that I had signed. It never occurred to me that anyone else would be on the hook for my obligations.
That is as it should be! 👍🏼 My daughter did the same for her masters degree and my grandson joined the air force to get VA educational benefits....there should be no free lunch at tax payer expense!!!
