The meltdown story is so relatable. The whole cascade of how the plan begins to unravel, struggling to decide on the course of action, you can't access certain information that would be useful to have in the moment, etc. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that but I'm grateful to you for sharing because it makes me feel less alone about my similar moments.
I've had a rough week and I appreciate how most of your videos are footage with text. It makes them very calming. I also super appreciate you showing us your special interest things and sometimes talking about them, it makes me really joyful to see.

Oh I have had that horrible feeling of “I know I can fix this and how but I’m still incredibly overwhelmed and I just can’t think, even breathing is a challenge” so many times. Yay for badly wired brains… said no one ever. 😓
I am so happy you were able to end your week in a happy note. I send you good vibes and hope for a fantastic lot of upcoming weeks and months.

New subscriber here, I really really love this format of looking at your hands while you talk. I have issues with eye contact and usually it's not a big deal with videos but I didn't realize focusing on the hands could be so soothing. I think they express as much or even more than the eyes. Thank you for your softness ❤

Happy to hear that everything worked out in the end with the packages. Also, having the videos done with a lamp and candle actually gives me all the cozy Autumn vibes I've been jonesing for. The trees around my apartment in Tokyo don't change color, the leaves just fall to the ground... so I am soaking up everyone else's Autumn experiences.

I’m proud of you handling things - it’s not always easy, in the moment, to see that you’re managing just fine. But you are. When you start to melt, try to breath deep and remember that everyone (even people without disabilities) has days when they’re overwhelmed. None of us is perfect. We all just do the best we can in the moment. I just found your channel, and I’m subscribing. I’m a much older lady in the US who works with people who have disabilities and I have 5 autistic grandkids. I have an idea what you’re up against. But you are doing great! ❤

I honestly wouldn’t care even if the M&S was full and people could hear you… the fact that an employee came and asked you to leave for simply showing human emotion is absolutely disgraceful! I’m so sorry that happened to you. I am really so angry about it! It is also extremely ableist because there are times when people (especially those with disabilities and chronic illnesses) are unable to control their emotions . Sending love your way ❤

Loving the vibes sm. Do you know the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton? The first like seven books are really cool, it's all about vampire-hunting and resurrecting the dead. Those moments of overwhelm become fewer and far between as we get older and learn to cope more efficiently. Grateful for that, but omg it makes it all the more intense when they DO hit. Your story was relatable. I’m 34m add/asd high functioning and no one would really guess that I deal with it, but the other day I had a very “autistic moment” in front of a few coworkers. Holy shit bro the intensity of the moment is like the fucking Sun shining a spotlight on the truest you that you’ve learned to pack away until you get home lol.
Recently I’ve been accused of faking my “ghost autism” (kinda dig the term tho lmao) by some family members. It’s so very valuable to me (and others, I’d imagine) to see someone who could likely get away with not mentioning it, choosing to be vulnerable. Sometimes being “high functioning” feels like you haven’t “earned” the right to claim it or something. I’m grateful to be where I am, but in some respects it’s hard to blend in so well.

I loved the Morganville Vampires. Rachel Caine did finish the series. She passed 2 or 3 years ago. I'm sn audiobook girl and Morganville was great on Audio. Claire is 16 and goes to college in Texas at the insistence of her parents and is forced to live off campus because she's bullied. Once leaving campus she finds out that a lot of sh*t goes down at night in Morganville. Her housemates help her navigate life in school and Morganville. I loved the whole series. The narrator is perfect for the series.
Did you ever get to Jeaniene Frost's Night Prince series? Vlad is hysterical. The audio is great. Tavia Gilbert narrates and she's fantastic.

yes! i read 6 or 7 (?) of them as a kid. I do often think about rereading them but i worry i might've outgrown the age-range a bit! always find it a bit strange to read from the perspective of a romantic 16yo nowadays 😅 good to know she finished them though!

I commented on one of your older videos, but thought I should also comment on this most current ones so you see it. I love your videos - they are like real life lo-fi girl. Very calming to watch, but your transition sound - the loud static - is so upsetting. I’m in this nice, relaxing mood while watching, and then that loud, distressing static sound comes out of nowhere and my heart rate shoots up and my calm is gone. Not sure if I am alone in this - I have sensory issues regarding sounds. Just wanted to give you some constructive feedback. All that aside, your videos are lovely.
