I'm so excited to see your review for The Toll !! I just finished it and I loved it so much. it's tough to wrap up such a complex story like The Arc of a Scythe but personally I feel that the conclusion was the best it could be ! I'd love to see an adaption of this series it's such a compelling and unique one

Hi Emma! Loved the editing and the thumbnail! And I added The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue to my TBR. Also, I tend to cry a LOT when I read, but Chain of Gold had me SHAKING I was crying so hard. And my reading glasses became all blurry. So yeah!

I need to read all of the ones you said you loved!!❤️ this year I have loved All the Light We Cannot See, the Underground Railroad, The Raven Cycle, Just Mercy, the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, The Poet X, and most recently, the Renegades series!!😍 I am highly anticipating A Sky Beyond the Storm which is the fourth and final book to the Embers series!
I recently finished Crescent City and I just absolutely loved it and it's one of my all time favorites now. I'm currently reading and loving Midnight Sun. I can't wait to read Chain of Gold, I'm reading it next.
LOOOL your take on I’m Thinking of Ending Things... I feel you completely 😂 After I finished the book I just sat there like “...what.” It took a turn I definitely hadn’t expected, but I think I liked it? I’m definitely excited to see the film. ☺️
This year I reread the first two books in the Diviner’s series, and read the 3rd one for the first time. Hands down my favorite books of the year and a new all time favorite series. I cannot wait to get to King of Crows, although I’m so scared that anything will happen to my babies.

A new fav for me this year has to be ‘the last fifteen lives of Harry August’! Suuuper unique concept (about a guy who lives his life over and over again, ie he is born in 1920, dies in 1990, and then immediately wakes up in 1920 as a baby with all his previous memories) and excellent writing, though I was originally put off by the fact it was sci-fi that thankfully didn’t affect my reading experience and I couldn’t put it down!
The only thing that I immediately think of with anticipated releases is Casey Mcquistons new novel which I’m sooooo excited about especially since it focuses on two girls and their relationship!
Completely relate to what you’re saying about this not being a great reading year, I just feel like there’s been no characters that really stuck out to me recently of anything I read and nothing that I’ve just wanted to be completely obsessed with yknow?
I thought the same thing about I’m Thinking of Ending Things! I’m glad I’m not the only one because I feel like everyone seems to think it’s just fabulous.

Hi Emma! Have you heard of The Box in the Woods? It's listed as Truly Devious 4 but I'm not sure if it's a direct sequel or some sort of spin-off.
I haven't really managed to read a ton of books that I love either so far this year, but Chain Of Gold and The How And The Why by Cynthia Hand have been my favorites thus far.
