I met Libba Bray at the first of the month and I told her I was surprised the last book didn't get a cover change. She rolled her eye and said that the cover changes for the series has been one of the biggest headaches of her career. Also one of the coolest authors I've ever met.

I feel like Red Rising is such an underrated series. I don't see many people talking about it so I got excited when you said the title but then I remembered this was an unhaul hahaha

The DEH musical made me so uncomfortable and I think you've really accurately expressed why. The way in which the main character manipulates the death of another is so deeply disturbing and it was really really upsetting for me to watch audiences connect with, sympathize with and cry over the main character despite how disgusting his behavior was.

Hi Emma, don't get rid of the signed books! You should have a special shelf dedicated to signed copies only. It would be so cool and after the years you can look at it and remember when you met those authors. Just an idea. Love your videos btw. Stay healthy
She already has multiple signed copies from most of those authors. Honestly, signed copies arent really anything special in my opinion, nor a reason to keep books you dont want.

Totally not silly or materialistic to want a series to be all hardcover or paperback - especially since in most cases, the paperback is so much smaller and shorter than the hardcover, so it really sticks out when you look at your shelves!

I need to do an unhaul. I have a lot of bookf from my local library sale that I either will never read or read once and don't love. I think a lot of them need to just go to better homes! Just because a book is unhauled doesn't mean we don't love it!
This isn't TECHNICALLY relevant to the video, but the movie of A Monster Calls actually broke me. I read the book and knew everything that happened and I STILL wasn't ready for that film emotionally lol

What’s the easiest way to sell books? Selling one at a time just sounds unpleasant and I have so many 😂😂😂. Love the video!
Just trade them in at a used book store or donate them. I guess you could also list them as bundles. You could bundle the same genre, series or author together.

I borrowed a small bookcase from my neighbour so I can stall my books on there whilst I look for a new bookcase. Whilst sorting through my books, I did get rid of a few books, which is good but I think in the future I will definitely go through my bookshelfs xxx
This might sound crazy, but you could rip out the front personalise page as neatly as you can and then put it in the front of the other edition you have. I did it for an edition of Carry on and it turned out really well :)
I’m not sure if your already planning to read it or not but you should try reading There Will Come A Darkness by Katy Rose Pool when you get the chance. Also love your videos your such a role model for me.

I went to the Dear Evan Hansen musical recently, and it was AMAZING! You should definitely check out the sound track, It’ll change your whole perspective.
elastiuc exactly! It’s such a good musical and only reading the book doesn’t do the story justice. I feel like a lot of people don’t care about Dear Evan Hansen because of the novel
As someone who's unable to see the actual musical, I enjoyed the book bc it helped me understand the story more and made the soundtrack much more meaningful

I am all for getting rid of books you aren't interested in, but as someone who absolutely does not consider herself a SciFi reader, Patrick Ness's More than This is in my top 5 books of all time. If you're ever in the mood for something speculative, it's definitely worth checking out!
I find it sooo hard to unhaul books! Even if I didn't like a book, I hold on to it because it would break my heart too much to give them away!
I, for one, love Dear Evan Hansen, but can see what you mean, even if I don’t personally agree with you. The book and the musical are different, and I do like the musical more, and I think you should listen to the soundtrack if you’re still considering it. It just holds a special place in my heart, because I listened to the soundtrack after reading the book and that got me into musical theatre, and I saw the show last summer. It’s just a special musical to me, and the book is good, too. The musical itself is so inspiring and left me in tears three times while watching the musical. But I will respect your opinion.
I am on the heartbroken side... Seeing Pierce in here. But also I thought to unhaul Cassie's books kind of makes it even... Maybe. I kept them tho cause my grandma gifted them to me

I loved the If I Stay movie even when it is really sad.
Armada was good if you read it by itself but if you read ready player one, it's just a bit flat in comparison. I LOVED RPO even though the main character was such a "dude" in the annoying sense haha but it was an awesome adventure book!!
damn emma, you and my bad memory gave such a shock! I'd forgotten that you were in the "duplicate copies" section of your video, so when you held up Ghosts of the Shadow Market i was so shocked! I've not gotten around to finishing that short story collection yet, so I thought there must be something INCREDIBLY bad in this book for you to get rid of it xD

i had to read the testing trilogy for school in 8th grade, and that was my first experience with dystopian. i was so annoyed with the characters for focusing so much on romance while their lives were at risk, but apparently that’s a big thing in a lot of dystopian? lol reading it now i don’t think i would be bothered, but edgy 13 year old me hated that trilogy

what is an emma video without a cut of another day
when the this is where it ends the name sounded very dutch to me. So i googled her and it turns out she is a dutch author, most of the times you don't see that dutch authors make it big outside of the netherlands, so that was really interesting. but then again she writes in english so that makes a difference but it's still cool.

Why do I love unhauls?!
I can completely understand why Things I Should Have Known would not be a favorite and I could see why you would want to get rid of it. However, I love that book so much because I have a sister who has autism, it was a book that I related to more than any other book. I felt so represented and in a situation like mine that isn't something I can often find. For some reason, I felt the need to point this out. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for autism representation, each case is different but I found it to be very accurate.
