I like the way you switch the books back and forth while you talk about them, makes it more dynamic!

@@emmmabooks POV: reading this comment after seeing your Instagram story ☠️
“I gave heroine a five out of five stars”
I’m glad I’m watching this otherwise I woulda been very confused😂
ahaahahh omg that definitely sounds a little suspicious without context XD
Emma: "im sorry for looking tired"
I was just thinking: "holy crap emma looks like literal bouquet of flowers 😍"
ahah you are too sweet!
Right?? She looks so happy and healthy! I would've never guessed she had a long day because she's LITERALLY glowing. 😍
"I know this is bad, but I just can't stop!"
Me adding books to my cart when I haven't finished the books I already own
ahahaha truly!!!!
i’m doing an essay right now but i can watch this at the same time hehe
ahah best of luck with your essay! i bet you'll do great :)
i love your whole look in this video - looking like an ethereal forest fairy. 🥺 also i need to pick up so many of these but especially an absolutely remarkable thing.
Wait I have that shirt but as pants let’s match
we always match!!
Emma: * looks like a goddess as always *
Also Emma: I’m sorry if I look a little tired...
All I can think about is the book switching sides since your Instagram story 😂 such a smart idea!
Emma: * uploads *
Me:
HeY WhAt'S uP hElLo My NaMe Is EmMa...
ahahhaha i love knowing people do the intro with me XD
@@emmmabooks it’s the best intro ever tbh
now knowing what is going on when a book moves between the left and right hand
Is there a reason for it? I keep seeing comments like this and I'm confused haha.
@@ashlee6341 she did a BTS of this trick she does in her videos where she moves the book between the left and right hand between takes!
i have almost finished serpent and dove and i love it, i recently finished the song of Achilles and i am not over it :(((( so heartbreaking but amazing
i love serpent and dove so much! i have not read song of achilles yet but i've heard good things :))
The way you slap those books on your fav shelf gave me life 😂
they deserve it!!
You are truly such a light, I love the way you speak about books and encourage people to read. So happy I found your channel.
It just felling so euphoriaous to see all those books in the shelf
Really random but I love how with these videos you always try to point out the good and the bad about the book, whether you hate it or love it and I really appreciate it!
I’m jumping for joy to see my The Program series on your shelf! That series is my Shadowhunter series and I absolutely love it so much and I would love if you did a video or mentioned them in a video soon!! Love you Emma!
THOSE FUNKY TRANSITIONS OOOO
*weeeee got the funk*
I loved midnight sun, it was very relaxing and nothing that was happening around me took that relaxation feeling from me.
you talking about the shadowhunters makes me want to reread them SO BAD
I actually just got Midnight Sun, I cannot wait to read it! I love books so much along with your channel. Great job Emma! :D
I read Heroine by your recommendation and it was such a great book. One of my favs of the year
Loving your makeup and your shirt is gorgeous, serious closet envy. 😍 Even though we don't have a similar reading tastes (like at all lol) I still love watching your videos for your energy and opinions. 💜💙
I bought Black Flamingo for my daughter to read , thank you for that review.
A couple of these sound like books I would read. Thank you for the reviews!
Grown became available for me at my library and I can’t wait to check it out
yayyyyy ii hope you love it!!!
I am just getting back into reading so thank you for sharing what you read 😊 and I just love that you love tmi so much because I love it as well ❤️
i'm wishing you the best in finding some new good books to read and enjoy :))
Great channel. Thank you. I’ve been looking for a book channel.
You make me feel so happy whenever you post, thanks for helping me feel better after i broke my finger ♥
aw i'm sorry to hear you broke your finger! i hope you heal soon and have a speedy recovery
and i'm so glad my videos make you happy :)
@@emmmabooks thanks so much, unfortunately im stuck in a cast till next year :( but please keep posting shadowhunter content, i love it so much
The Carl questions are answered in the sequel of an absolute remarkable thing... all will be revealed 😈😂
AART!!! Probably my favourite book I've read this year - I've read it twice (reread just before the sequel!)
Behavior Analysis can wait because Emma just posted🙈and my tbr is about to become even more infinite💝
P.S your hair is stunning
ooh but behavior analysis sounds so interesting!
ahhah thank you and i hope you've gotten some good recs!
Hopped on here so quick lol. Love you Emma!!!💜
thanks for being here!
Your intro is everything ❤
I feel the same thing about the cofa audiobook! It took me so long to get through that book bc of it
Hank Green’s sequel is also great!
I’ve read TMI three times and I think I’ll be rereading it again soon. Honestly the books aren’t the strongest like you said, however, I do enjoy them xx
I'm re-reading the Shadow hunter books as well 😊
Just finished “One to Watch” by Kate Stayman-London it was so good!
YAY!! Love a good Mortal Instruments reread
Ahh I always love your videos! And you look so pretty, your makeup is always on point 😍
thank you so much!! xx
I’m so glad you enjoyed The House in the Cerulean Sea! I recently bought it for myself and 2 friend so we can read it together 🥺
You just made my day better Emma, thnxxx💜
you just made mine!!
I'm so glad you loved The House in the Cerulean Sea 😊💖
Would you be able to do an updated shadow hunter shelf tour and explanation of the order in how to read the series? ☺️
Wow so many of these sound incredible and I want to read them! I just finished The Astonishing Color of After and wow it was amazing🥰 I gave it 5/5 stars. It’s such a beautiful and tragic yet hopeful story about grief and depression and family and it was so well done. I highly recommend 💖
Loved watching as always 👍 Lots of interesting books. I think I might start with The mortal instruments because it's been a long time since I promised myself to read this series.
thank you so much! i definitely think you should hahah feel free to let me know what you think of them!!
@@emmmabooks haha I'll let you know. Promise.
Oh my gosh I LOVE TJ Klune his green creek series is one of my all time faves you should defo read it !
house in the cerulean sea is soooo good
if you do re-read I recommend the audiobook! that's how I read it for the first time and I loved it so much (I was happy crying for the last half hour of it lol)
This was so good!
I’ve been in a slump lately from Addie LaRue but also because I just finished my undergrad capstone project so that took up most of my time. Needing a great one to get me out of the slumpity though for after finals when I GRADUATE next week!
I've been in a reading slump in 2021 and today I decided to read City of Bones for the first time. I've read Clockwork Angel a few years ago and didn't like it, but so far I like CoB. Here's hoping I enjoy the rest of TMI as much as you do 😊
I’m suppose to be in class but I saw your post and I couldn’t wait
ahaha aw thanks for being here!
I didn't notice you flipping hands that the book is in with every clip before but now I can't not notice it.
hi emma :3 i need some new recommendations hehe *aggressively turn away from my tbr pile* btw i love your makeup !! your eye makeup is always so pretty !! 😗🖤
ahaahh no tbr is too big for new recommendations!
thank you! i go through phases with playing with colors and i'm in one now ahahha
I reeeaalllyyyyy need to read An Absolutely Remarkable Thing and House on the Cerulean Sea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy to hear how amazing they are and I really look forward to reading them!!! 😍
they're both wonderful i really hope you love them!!!
I have had Heroine on my kindle forever and entirely forgotten about it! Must read it - and the black flamingo too as I recently got it. Good discussion on midnight sun and it’s a shame Meyer just really doesn’t care...
it's never a complete emmmabooks video without a mention of the shadowhunters series 👁👄👁
Making my day better just by posting a video 🥺ly❤️
aw that makes me so happy :))
Since you shared on Insta how you edit your videos, I've recognized you switching the books back & forth between your hands 😄👏
I absolutely LOVED Spinning. I thought it was a really heartfelt story, I’m sorry you didn’t love it, but such is the nature of books!
I saw your Instagram story and I never noticed it before but know I look for when the book switch’s hand😹 love your channel💕
Yayy!! Getting my snack and tea ready as we speak
yayy i'm drinking tea right now too! ahahha
I recently read and am obsessed with From Blood and Ash and A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire and oh my god I love them
ooh those sound so interesting!!
I can't wait for the day when there'll be a giveaway which is open to the rest of the world and not the US. :D On a more serious note, I thoroughly enjoyed this wrap up. I like how you alternate the pros and cons when you describe the book. :)
Time to procrastinate school and watch Emma 🥰
I recently read As the Shadow Rises which is the sequel to There Will Come a Darkness and it was a 5 star read for me! Now I am almost done with Horrid by Katrina Leno and also enjoying it so far.
I'm currently engulfed in the Shadowhunter Chronicles, and I'm loving it! I'm reading them in publication order and now on Clockwork Angel! So far it's really good!😁
I read them all this year for the first time and it is SO GOOD! So fun!! I did publication order too
@@jennalakes6334 Which book would you say is your favorite?
I want to have one of your giveaway because so memorable this Christmas and thanks for this and big help for me because for my brain to be stronger
I love your flower long sleeve shirt with pink roses on it
thank you! it's actually a dress with a turtleneck under it :)
I love ur videos so so much!!😍❤️
thank you so much i really appreciate that!
iam glad of your videos emmma doing ourselves best
I loved An Absolutely Remarkable Thing!
I'm really considering finally getting Book of the Month after debating for all of 2020 if I should get it on top of my owlcrate
I just finished Spinning two days ago and I agree with your critiques, it just didn’t provoke me in any way. I also wish the ending was more substantial. I still enjoyed it though and it helped me get out of my slump. I desperately want to get Heroine, The House in the Cerulean Sea, and Grown on my shelf! I also appreciated your thoughtful review on Midnight Sun and addressing the issues along with it. I’m not a Twilight fan but I really enjoyed the review of it!
Love this!! Have you read ash princess trilogy? Or heart bones? Could you do a review?
Two books that I finished recently that I highly enjoyed were 'Kindred' and 'Majesty'!!!!!
I was about to start reading but Super Fake Love Song can wait
Thanks for including Puerto Rico, Emma!
you're very welcome, good luck if you're entering!! x
I enjoyed this Video and the books you mentioned I have them written down.
I am Currently Reading Miss Austen by Gill Hornby. I just finished listening to Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. This is so good.
Happy Reading ❤️🔰❤️
I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea!!! I've been trying to find anyone to talk about this book with lol
Have you read Junk by Melvin Burgess? A YA book about substance misuse - one of my all time favourite books, it's handled beautifully
I'm re-reading a couple of series right now (one for nostalgic cleanse after finishing a series I don't like, the other as prep for reading the new entry in the series) and one of the main things I've noticed, in the former at least, is that it's WAAAAAY darker than I remember. To the point part of me is amazed how young an age group it was aimed at lol
aahah i've definitely come across books like that when rereading!
@@emmmabooks The book in the series I'm reading currently has a villain who basically kills one of his soldiers via firing squad...
...in a middle grade book full of talking animals lol
Love the hair 😍
I'm also doing reread to Mortal Instruments Series, I'm going to reread City of Fallen Angel next week. I can never get enough of Shadowhunters World 😂
currently on city of heavenly fire and gotta admit im slumping though it. but then i finally am through with everything to FINALLY start the dark artifices because lady mkdnight was my initial interest and im having trouble with the mortal instruments 😂 loved tid though. top notch 😂
ahahaha you're not the first person i've heard struggle with TMI! I can totally understand that - city of heavenly fire is pretty dense.
i do hope you love TDA!!! it's a fantastic series :D
@@emmmabooks thank you so much! im so excited already. tda and chain of gold have been sitting there for a few months now cause they cog came out in german and tda was on sale so i just got them in advance.
fun fact: your "how to read the shadowhunter chronicles 1" heöped me with it tho cause when i first became interested there were just to many books for me to get a grip, so thanks emma!
Love
I swear, everytime I get the notification I'm in the middle of school.
ahaahahha aww i hope your schoolday is goiing well!
I always know that when I catch up on CZcams videos, I will have more books on my Want to Read section on Goodreads
re: TMI audiobooks | So I thought it might interest you to know (if you don't already) that "City of Bones", at least, *has* been re-recorded! The first three books were originally all narrated by Natalie Moore, but now there's a new version narrated by Mae Whitman, the voice of Katara! I'm interested in checking that out, so I thought you might be, too. :)
Whaaaaat City of Ashes and City of Glass are my favorites of the series😂😂😂
Here's Emma our love to brighten our day..
your comment brightened mine!!!
I'm now reading City of Lost Souls for the first timeee
AH ITS MY FAVORITE I HOPE YOU LOVE ITTT
@@emmmabooks I didd and so far it's my favorite too hahaha
oh my god!! I'm just making my way through the Mortal Instruments audiobooks atm (first time reading/listening) and as much as I LOVE Ed Westwick, he is make it so hard to stay connected and focus of the story! Surely they could've found an actual American for the part....
I'm currently reading the lunar chronicles, and u were one of the first booktubers I saw, gush about it so thanks
Also I discovered booktube only this year and TLC is the first booktube recommended book I bought........
I will also read The truly devius sereis , hunger games trilogy , rashni chakshi , stephen king, A house of salt and sorrow this year...
Ps. I wrote this comment which no-one will read most probably ......
i love the lunar chronicles so much!!! one of my fav sci fi series :)
ps i read your comment :)
Omggg so early! Love u emma ❤️
thanks for being here!!
@@emmmabooks always❤️🥰
Thank you so much! I just entered!
good luck!
Did you guys know that the male narrator for The Mortal Instruments is Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl?!
ok but this LOOK 🔥🔥
ahhhhh thank you!!!!
That’s so interesting re liking Bella and Edward better when it’s not in their POV! I actually really rarely like the POV character as much as their friends for that reason (they seem melodramatic / to be wallowing in self pity). Anyway, amazing detailed & balanced reviews as always!!
