My son loved Zakk Wylde. He was a gifted guitarist and passed away in May 2021. I got to know Zakk going through his music and memorabilia. My son (Tennessee) went to a concert in Asheville in a wheelchair in the last years of his life and Zakk took the time to take a photo with him. One of his prize possessions. Zakk is an incredible musician, a great poet and songwriter, and an amazing man with a heart as big as his talent. This song is just one amazing example!! I love you Zakk.....

Zakk, when this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and in jail. Now I have a good job, a husband, and I’m healthy. This song and “Clover Cage - Miraculous” are the two songs that helped with my depression. I just want everyone to know that things will get better. We are in this together. I love you 💕

I can't believe it's already been 6 years since we filmed this. What an absolute honour it was to be able to be a part of this video. I got to meet zakk afterwards when he came to play at a venue I worked at and he couldn't be a nicer person.

I was struggling with addiction and was listening to this. When he said " You can welcome me in, I will not walk through that door. I may be blind but I'll find my way". That meant something. Drugs will always be there.. and they'll welcome you in for sure. You gotta be strong enough to say I can control myself and follow a different path instead of walking towards them. Hope that helps someone like it did me.

Starting life again was worse and harder than the first time. But I finally have both feet planted firmly beneath me. And I still love this music. Zack is a Godsend!!!!

I have found the light Mr. Wild and you good sir were part of my journey that took me here. After terrible things were done to one of my kids that made the local paper I was ready to give up. Working long nights that had me walking miles with street cleaning company I used to play this song on repeat mad at God. Miracles later sir I must say God is real. I do not doubt the unbelievers as they have not seen what I have . God is not a cop God is Love. It’s us that’s messed up.. Heck the church is messed up. I was in Milwaukee in August for the Book of Shadows II tour and he came up to the VIP area and stood right next to me and shred like there was no tomorrow. It was the most metal moment of my life
I got to act as a security guard on that tour for his stop in Pittsburgh. Did the shred on Throwing it all away right next to me.

I laid the love of my life to rest last week. Her parents asked if I wanted a song played that I had introduced her to. I played Lost Prayer at her funeral there was not a dry eye in the place because she was loved and will be missed but this song showed everyone the love we had. Hi, I don't know if you read what ppl comment on here or not & I know it's not my business. I have been where ur at emotionally and mentally (heck even physically I just don't feel good), I still go through this at different times. I've been hungry, homeless, lost everything/everyone I had or loved multiple times and yeah I didn't see or feel one glimmer of hope. I even tried to end it all, luckily I was found in time (not that I felt lucky at the time). This is me telling you mainly about my past (& no I didn't lose these things due to drugs alcohol or anything else like that. Due to my health I couldn't work anymore, that's what happened to January of 2009 ended my homelessness for good thus far. 🙏🏻Fast forward to June 10th of 2020... I received a phone call from my fiancee's Mom (I am a widow & my fiancee I knew for 20 years)... she had called to tell me that he had killed himself. I cannot even begin to describe the depths of pain and questions and it's 2 years later and I miss him every single day and I will never be able to see his eyes mess up his hair.... He found a permanent solution for a temporary problem. I still have not even began to grieve in a healthy way. I normally can't even talk about him cuz I start crying, and his mother, I can't even begin to describe what she is going through. And He didn't think she even cared about him. Things will get better, I know it, somehow. I know that it's none of my business & u have a right to ur privacy but I was just wondering how you are doing? Seriously, not as a joke or some kind of "project" or anything weird, just really want to know that ur getting through the day to day, if ur ok or not. You may be feeling better than when this was written, idk, it hit me right in my heart man. Just take care and I'm going to say a little prayer for you, hope that doesn't offend.

I'm fighting addiction while being unemployed for two years after completing college and Zack Wilde's songs are always a pat in the back like the father I never had saying, "It's gonna be okay son". I don't know whether I can do it or not cause it feels there's nothing to it anymore. Maybe I'm skeptical. But hasn't life experiences made us that way? I don't know what's gonna happen next. May we all find peace.

Actually he disappointed me greatly when he turned from the guy who's the guitarist for the guy who used to be in a band called Black Sabbath to a guy who writes pussy songs about Jesus and calls it metal just because he's good at the guitar.

yea this is my favorite band for the past 20 years. Ive seen them live many times. So many good songs, and you can still see them live! Although their drummer just died. Jeremiah Green, the perfect drummer for the band and all the way from the beginning. Gonna miss him!
