I am one of the few 7th graders in my school that listens to heavy metal, and I don't look like I do either, I am a small shy girl what never talks about anything metal. But then when we can listen to music at school, I bust out my headphones and listen to FFDP. People look over at my computer and start to do one of three three things, laugh, ask about why I listen to it, or look away like they are disgusted. I have only met one person in my life that has the same interests in music as me, and though I won't reveal her name, she taught me that you should be proud of what you like, and even if others don't like that, don't let that stop you from liking what you like. This band has given me confidence to do so many new things, and meet so many new people. once you cross that boundary from being scared to show people who you really are, and excepting yourself for who you are, you will have so much more fun in life. so please take this as a sign that you are worth something, no matter who you are, or what you like, because there will always be someone with the same interests as you. you just might have to open your eyes and look around you
I remember being alone in school listening to Korn's new album Issues back in the year 2000 and I feeling the same. It took too long for me to meet people that liked the same music I do.
It took me a long time to realize that when I was in school. The best thing I can recommend is to just keep a watchout for the right group of people and become friends with them, dont change for someone else. Also High School is a new start, that's when I realized that i didnt care about what people thought about me or what I listen to. I just found a couple of groups who liked what I did and hung out with them.
Happy for you, but you can find very similar remedies in rehab, or self-help groups, basically anywhere people have found a deeper reason to join together and heal. Learning how control myself in Science based rehab was the most beautiful experience I have had in my life. (Almost like being born again). :-)

It’d be way better than some of the crap that’s been out. I remember thinking Hinder and Buckcherry would be awesome. @@First.Take.Jake. agreed, i'm 19 and FFDP is probably my favorite band, slipknot and a few other are up there too. It's sad that people don't the meaning behind this type of music, i listen to newer stuff too like juice wrld but rock/metal is easily my favorite genre, sadly people from my generation and younger (idk if the next generation after gen z has a name yet lol) don't like rock at all even though it has the most meaning, i guess hearing loud noises hurt their ears too much so they can't stand it, idk
You're born in the best generation, you can hear all thoses amazing music's for free, and have all the informations about bands easily. The only thing you miss is seeing them physically in their prime.
I discovered your band maybe a year ago, quite long after I got out from my depressions and suicidal thoughts, but many of your songs could have helped me a lot back in those days. Reading the coments, I must totally agree, your songs are saving lives and helping people to stand up back on their feet. I can recomend some other songs that are litteral life-savers: 'Reason to Believe' by Arch Enemy or 'Beyond' by Rage of Light. The former one helped me a lot. I wish there were more songs like these. So many people need help, but are afraid of asking for it or don't know anyone to ask and alone they can't find a way. But these songs can help and are helping, so share them with anyone you see having troubles.
A cover band? Do you recon guy. They write there own shit and make old lame songs better. House of the rising sun and bad company are by far better since 5 figer made them relevant again.

Go to Megadeth or Metallica comment sections (especially the most viewed videos). Its the worst. Megadeth fans hate Metallica and say Megadeth is better and Metallica comment sections mostly say how they "sell out" with Black Album and how the first 4 Metallica albums are the ONLY GOOD MUSIC ON EARTH and how they went to shit with later albums (which are all great except St. Anger). If not, they bash Megadeth instead. The worst fans on Earth.

This band has given me confidence to do so many new things, and meet so many new people. once you cross that boundary from being scared to show people who you really are, and excepting yourself for who you are, you will have so much more fun in life. so please take this as a sign that you are worth something, no matter who you are, or what you like, because there will always be someone with the same interests as you. you just might have to open your eyes and look around you
slime tree honestly I get that same reaction
I remember being alone in school listening to Korn's new album Issues back in the year 2000 and I feeling the same. It took too long for me to meet people that liked the same music I do.
It took me a long time to realize that when I was in school. The best thing I can recommend is to just keep a watchout for the right group of people and become friends with them, dont change for someone else. Also High School is a new start, that's when I realized that i didnt care about what people thought about me or what I listen to. I just found a couple of groups who liked what I did and hung out with them.
be glad that you're not into death metal yet, pup!
i’m a 9th grader girl, shy and i like heavy metal. are you me?

Happy for you, but you can find very similar remedies in rehab, or self-help groups, basically anywhere people have found a deeper reason to join together and heal. Learning how control myself in Science based rehab was the most beautiful experience I have had in my life. (Almost like being born again). :-)

The drummer, Jeremy Spencer, with his wife and beautiful little girl, is absolutely heartwarming.
It shows how times have changed in the music business, from before, to now.
It is thought to be cool to have your wife and kids on tour with you.

It’d be way better than some of the crap that’s been out. I remember thinking Hinder and Buckcherry would be awesome. There was a saying by Ron White “I believe a bad half-time show is better than a soccer game”. However, time has changed. I’d rather watch a soccer game than whatever that act was the last Super Bowl. Please let Bad Wolves, 5FDP, or godsmack do a halftime show with some good music.
The clip of the drummer walking in holding his daughters hand was priceless. This a top notch band. Good music, and decent men.

Just curious, why would you think a single person on the internet cares any at all about your age or your plans for the near future? I'm a 2024 year old messiah and I think this song is pure dog shit.
My father loved listening to rock music and this is one of his favorites I still love to this day. (He died from covid. Rest In Piece. ✝❤)
I'm 52. I absolutely love this song. This is exactly how I feel nowadays. Great band. The Lord will be back to wash it all away soon. We are all wasting away. The mightiest of all is coming back. The Lord. Nobody can stop the higher power.

Actually I was scrolling through my playlist to get rid of the exam tension, I'm happy somehow I found this song ❤
Can anyone wash the exams away 😅
I wish I could paint my face like the drummer and live like that forever.

Why are metal comment sections always the most positive 😁😂😂😂
Edit: Thanks so much. Never got this many likes😁😁😁
Everybody has a good time when listening to five finger death punch
Because people who listen to metal vent their feelings in music while everyone else just bottles it up and are miserable bastards
