I literally thought he was singing “It’s all Champagne” for the longest time until I realized that the title to the song was “Sham Pain” 🤣🤣 Still nonetheless y’all are my all time favorite band and alway will be for the rest of my life. Everything that you amazing dudes do and keep doing for our amazing country’s veterans and our active duty servicemen and servicewomen. And all of our Law Enforcement Officers. My father being one of them of over 35+ years and my cousins who’ve had the awesome opportunity to see y’all while on deployment in the sand box of Afghanistan lol. My middle cousin though sadly didn’t come back home on his last deployment. But from my family of both Police Officers and firefighter/EMS (my dad, uncle, one of my god fathers. Mom a medically retired firefighter/Paramedic) and US Military (cousins, uncle and great uncles and grandfathers. Great grandfathers,) THANK YOU Five Finger Death Punch for all that y’all do for our Military both active duty and retired veterans and combat veterans, and our nations LEO’s, Police Officers, Sheriff’s Deputies, State Troopers, State Police, State Game Wardens, and Firefighters, EMT’s and Paramedic’s nationwide thank you!!!

Love this. Great song and video. Beyond sound. Great message and hilarious. Great dancing too. To have a song and video like this come out in 2018 shows how much work is being put in. FFDP always comes through.
The lyrics show how fleeting happiness is. You can be super popular, super rich, but there are still inconvenient crap to deal with and then the high of all the cool stuff wears off. A new purchase gives you a few days of joy then you return to your baseline happiness. The idea you can get to a certain spot and then just be super happy every single day is a myth.
I work around people who are happy continuously, and they have never suffered depression. It's incredibly frustrating. People who don't suffer depression, also don't seem to appreciate music as much. Depression seems to be caused by trauma. The people who are successful, often work twice as hard, to overcome that trauma. But the trauma is always there. Getting rid of the original trauma is the only thing that can ever truly make you happy. But our current medical system has no mechanism for healing trauma.

I hope to go see them sometime too! I did see them once back at Mayhem fest in MA or CT and it was a blast! That was my first exposure to them, haven't heard of them prior. Looks like they will be touring with Metallica, Pantera, Ice Nine Kills and one or two other bands this coming year! The bad news, you gotta get tickets for the whole weekend, and the seats aren't cheap! Still, I'm going to try to make one of the shows.

This band won me over with their version of Gone Away. It reminds me of my brother who committed suicide 4 years ago. I know it's probably weird, but I do sign language to Gone Away and I get SO emotional, my way of paying homage in an intimate way to my brother

Seen this live in Nashville Tennessee a week ago. That chorus is great
I love the lyrics to this song because if you're just listening to it and not paying attention to the lyrics, it almost sounds like he's saying "It's all champagne", so if you ignore some specific lyrics (like the hate parts), the song has almost a duality to it. If you take it as the champagne sound, it seems like he's happy with the life, but if you hear sham pain you realize the true and deeper meaning behind the lyrics.

This new album is so good, it's a statement of soberness, even ivans voice sounds cleaner, one of the most emotional albums out there. I resonate with so many of those tracks. You can tell that Ivan is in a new stage of his life, a life without alcohol.

Ivan is trying to explain the difficulties of being rock star and what to expect and how much it sucks, but at end of the day as much as hates that stuff, overall he's happy cuz he to live his dream.
I feel like a lot people can relate to that in some form. Like from example family drama, family knows how to get to u, and do crappy stuff to each other, but at the end day there you're family and they have your back and protect and you realize yeah you're in this crazy family but you won't trade. There's other examples
But I think the overall message is yeah there a lot of bad in your life but it could be worse, so sit down relax and be happy with what you got
