If you were to recast Apocalypse who would it be??
Idris Elba
Javier Bardem
would have loved someone older and with more presence .. maybe stellan skarsgard (the villain in Dune) or even someone like Liam Neeson. Oscar, although a great actor, was a big miscast.
Josh brolin
No one ... Mr Moon Knight is born for that role.
Say what you want about the movie, but that Quicksilver scene is *GOLD*
Yes, though it's basically just the "Time In A Bottle Scene" from the previous film again, but it'll still very fun to see Quicksilver in action like that.
Its okay. Dope first time.
Agree. Quicksilver is cool but Evan Peters is great
The potential of his powers are not even close to being reached yet, with or without the ancient mutants powers to augment and awaken quicksilver abilities even further. Often times with much training many mutants can gain several extra abilities, most times related and adjacent to the ones they already have. I'm just saying I'd like to one day see him gain access to the extents of his power, even just a portion!
@@glennwelsh9784 they are always the best since that's basically what he'll do regardless since we dont always wanna see just blurs
On a $175 million dollar budget, it made $543 million dollars at the box office. And it's also the longest ever X Men Movie, clocking in at 145 minutes!
As much as I do like this movie despite its flaws, one thing that always bugs me is that they completely avoided the comic canon of Nightcrawler being the son of Mystique and Azazel. That element alone would have made for a wonderful piece of cinema.
I don't know if they avoided it as much as never went beyond subtly hinting at it, but yeah.
Well, it's a little weird after Nightcrawler got horny for Mystique in X2
I always liked how En Sabah Nur didn’t need to enhance Erik in the same way that he enhanced the other horsemen. He just needed to show him how to access the full range of his abilities. It’s kind of terrifying that Erik was just innately that powerful without any sort of forced augmentation. Lol
No dude he was enhancing his power.
His eyes go white when Erik is channeling his magnetic powers.
You do know apocalypse enhancement isnt literal enhancement. He simply unlocks the full potentiak of ones mutation@jellalfernandes1309
@@mehkanahmad1590 we don't know which one is it even in the comic apocalypse's abilityes aint that well explained for all we know by cannon he has every power he wants the only limitation is his own power. Thats why Jean managed to obliterate him as much powers he has he wasn't omega class mutant like her to stand a chance.
I liked this movie. But I know I'm in the minority.
At least we learned Oscar Isaac could play a good Egyptian comic book character.
I liked it as well lol
Oh yeah! Now he has this and MoonKnight under his belt lol
Yep.
Really the X-Men should be a tv show that moves between being a soap opera, a high school teen angst drama, a spy movie, and a superhero smash up.
X-Men Evolution. that's how you do it.

The scene of magneto destroying auschwitz always gives me goosebumps with apocalypse giving the speech
Magneto’s story in this one is my favorite aspect of it, he showed an emotional side we hadn’t seen much of, and also his physical power was absolutely unhinged, I’m not a physicist but I had a HS physics teacher that explained to us that with the full potential of his power he can literally open wormholes and alter earth’s magnetic fields (we saw a glimpse of that in the movie), which is impressive, his power consists of much more than just throwing metal around… Fassbender did a fantastic job imo!
Love that in the scene where Apocalypse recruits Angel they have Metallica’s “The Four Horsemen” playing. So fitting since he is gathering his four horsemen.
'It does not get any more metal! Literally!' -Cinemawins
I forgot that was an actually song.
While I have issues with how they have always portrayed Storm compared to her comic counterpart, she is still one of the most powerful mutants period, officially omega level. And in the cartoon version of her being a horsemen, she was the most problematic and (its been a while so I am going from memory) was the toughest to take out. So having both Magneto and Storm on a team is more than enough, though I want to say that Angel is most famous for his role as a horsemen and everything afterwards.
I hope when/if MCU does bring her in, they finally do her justice.
same
not giving her the chance to form the historic african couple T'Challa-Ororo is already a bad part
Jean Grey was drawn to Scott because he's dangerous... like her. Also, all of the events that transpired here was all because of Moira.
Originally, Hugh Jackman was not going to appear in this film but after Bryan Singer was able to convince him to come back one last time for the secret cameo role, they re-wrote that portion of the film to include him. That's why the whole Alkali Lake/Stryker's Return subplot kind of feels like a random 20-minute side story that just kind of shows up and goes away. Also, the person that shoots Wolverine in the helmet and then gets blood-splattered on the wall IS Bryan Singer doing his own cameo.
Singer had said that his goal for this movie was to flip Scott's personality. The original films have him as the goody goody "boy scout," so he wanted to give him a little bit of an attitude this time around in the new timeline, taking inspiration from Scott's role in the alternate reality "Age of Apocalypse" story line from the comics of the mid 90s. In that run, Xavier's son had traveled back in time and inadvertently killed his father, causing all of reality to re-write itself with Apocalypse ruling the world and Magneto creating the X-Men in Xavier's image. Cyclops was a villain and had one of his eyes cut out by Wolverine, who, in turn, had one of his hands blown off by Scott.
Also... yes, check out Dark Phoenix. It's not particularly good and a whole bunch of production issues plagued it due to secret discussions between Disney and Fox regarding their (at the time) not-yet-announced buyout. Certain characters were replaced and entire sequences were dropped. The third act was completely re-written and re-shot because of it. But it does have couple decent scenes mixed in with some not-so-great ones.
I just realized Oscar Isaac is two marvel characters 🤧he’s joined the Chris evans club 🤣
And Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds only portrayed one MCU character - technically his character in Wolverine Origins was still Deadpool.

The little girl is Magneto’s youngest daughter Polaris (Lorna Dane) her powers are nearly identical to Magneto’s but way more chaotic!!
That ain’t Polaris, Polaris was the little girl in Days of Future Past but this one is a new daughter created for the movie just to kill her and get Magneto back to being bad. Nina can influence animal behavior, Polaris can’t do that.
And what do you mean with “way more chaotic”? Polaris is only an Alpha Mutant and Quicksilver but both Magneto and Wanda are Omega level.
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Doesn't Magneto have 4 kids in total? Nina, Polaris, Quicksilver and Wanda?? I could be wrong but then again I'm not a comic book reader unfortunately so I don't have all the info lol
@@nunugirlswag109 Nina doesn’t exist in the comics, it’s Anya Lehnsherr in the comics and Nina was a little bit inspired by Anya.
When Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were first introduced as members of Magneto’s “Brotherhood of Evil Mutants” they were definitely not Magneto’s children, they were the children of Django and Marya Maximoff.
Then they were retconned to give them heroic roots when they became Avengers to have been actually the children of “The Whizzer” and “Miss America”, a couple of older heroes, who were adopted by Django and Marya.
THEN they were retconned AGAIN by having the Whizzer and Miss America twins being stillborn and replace by a set of twins birthed by a woman named Magda.
AND THEN it was added years later that Magneto was their father.
AND YET AGAIN it was revealed that none of that actually happened and The High Evolutionary had kidnapped the twins of Django and Marya, given them a power boost, then set all that other crap in motion.
NOW everyone just ignores that High Evolutionary stuff for the most part and Django and Marya are Wanda and Pietro’s parents.
Magneto ain’t their father and they also are not mutants. I stopped reading comics in 2015 so I do not know how everything is right now but from what I remember and have read here and there that’s what I know, it’s confusing asf.
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Right now that is true, except Wanda still treats Mangeto as her adoptive father now and Magneto still treats her as an adoptive daughter. the Trial Of Mangeto event they just did solidified they aren't bilogically related... but they will always be father and daughter to each other. Lorna likewise always will hold Wanda as her sister and vice-versa. So you can still say Wanda's father is Magneto... not biologically... but he is her adoptive father now. Sort of Marvel's way of having it both ways now.
This is actually my second favourite of the ‘young’ x-men movies. The heartbreaking scene with Magneto’s new family, Quicksilver’s awesome saving everyone scene and Jean finally letting go are great. I haven’t seen Dark Phoenix yet, but I’d be interested in you watching it and your insights.
Timothee Chalamet, Ben Hardy Charlie Rowe, Taron Egerton, Logan Lerman, Josh Hutcherson, Jesse Plemons and Jamie Blackley were considered for Cyclops till Tye Sheridan was cast.
I woulda loved Taron EdGERTON

“Why would you ever threaten anyone who looks like a Sith Lord?”
Me: “Good point”
30:39 He couldn't say "No more Mutants" because that line belongs to someone else XDDD
The one detail about this movie that really irked my nerves, was when they made the source of Storm's white hair a result of Apocalypse's interference. Her hair is meant to be a genetic thing. She comes from a long line of African Priestesses and every one in her family who had the power before her, all had the same white hair and eyes. I mean, that's what makes Ororo Munroe, Storm. It's part of who she is, literally. Storm is one of my favorite comic characters in general. She is so underrated in movies. It's thought, but not yet confirmed, that her power comes more from a source of magic and not necessarily a mutation. In some of the older comics and animated series, she is called a weather witch. So much is unknown about her power and I love that, even today, she is learning more of what she is fully capable of. She's just awesome!
I honestly just came for Quicksilver scene 😂 cause it is Gold (also sort of Magneto’s scene when his family died). I bet you guys had seen this movie before Wandavision, you’d be too hyped on 5th episode of WV. 😂
The biggest issue most people have with the X-men films, is that they dont do comics and characters justice. X3 and Dark Phoenix are both the biggest offenders off that, but if you dont follow comics, and you dont know (or care) how each character "should" be portrayed, im certain you will enjoy it. It probably wont be your favorite, but there are worse films in the franchise than Dark Phoenix. I say defnitely give it a go and make up your own decision of how good or bad it is
IMO that's a double standard. No MCU movies folllow the comics and people loved them.
@@darkwolf1202 They might not follow the storylines from the comics, but mcu Iron man, Thor CA etc, are very close to the they are in comics. (personality - powers wise)
In X-Men Who besides Magneto Wolverine and maybe Charles is? Major characters like Storm Cyclops Jean Iceman, all feel nothing close to how theyre supposed to be and act thats the biggest gripe.
Which is why I seperate is as something else completely. I understand im not gonna se whi I expect to see, so I treat it as its own thing with 0 connection to the source material, and that way I can enjoy it despite the movies having issues
The X-Men, like most long-lasting comic heroes, have been rebooted so many times that 'doing the comics and characters justice' is a fallacy. There are certain fixtures to each character's personality, background and powers but most of it is very flexible whenever you reboot a franchise.
@@phoenix1985gr Iron Man was never funny, Thor never made jokes, Hawkeye was always fun now he is not. Only Cap is right.
@@darkwolf1202 Thor makes jokes, sometimes, just not in the "earthling" style. Asgardians have their own humor

Oh dang it!!!
They did big, big injustice with Magneto in this film. I cried hard when i first watched this
Fun fact in the comics nightcrawlers parents are Mystique and Azazel the red guy from Last Stand which is why Kurt is blue but with Azazel teleportation power…
Psylocke was my favorite part of the movie. Seeing her brought to live action and in a way that is soooooooooooo close to her jumping off the pages was great. And that is almost 100% due to Olivia Munn. Originally they had planned to have a very generic black costume. Olivia said no and said it needed to be comic accurate. They came back with the costume that was in the movie but all black and with a purple sash. Olivia essentially said 'what is this...' and was told the purple sash will be a call out to how in the comics her costume was purple. Olivia said that made no sense as Psylocke's sash is red. They told her they understood that, but her costume would be black so the purple sash would be an homage to the comic color. Olivia again stated the sash was red.
She said she literally could not comprehend why they were not getting the costume right and trying to make the sash purple. She put her foot down and said the entire costume will be purple and have a red sash like in the comics. And... they backed down and agreed and let her dictate it. So Olivia Munn being SOOOOO ANAL about comic book costume accuracy is the reason Psylocke looks so close to her comic version. As someone who wishes all actors/actresses were that way about their character's costume... it made me adore Olivia for life for that.
I do feel bad for her though. She went into her meeting with the director and writers with a ton of Psylocke comics and was asking about what story arcs and plans for her character there would be... only to realize no one there but her understood anything about Psylocke and Fox just told them to put her in the movie. It was another Emma Frost situation where the actress ended up being the only person on the movie really fighting to do the character justice. But Olivia was far more successful and had more leeway than January Jones was given.
8:25 This movie really does feel like X-Men Evolution: The Movie sometimes, complete with Apocalypse being the main baddie. I like both a lot. If you haven't watched that, definitely give it a shot. It, too, has a much more relatable young Cyclops than his usual hardass self.
Whatever gripes people might have, this film did the thing I wanted to see since hearing about a prequel/reboot of X-Men; doing Phoenix 'right'. That is to say, Charles handling Phoenix better, possibly due to insider knowledge from his future self, helping Jean embrace that power instead of locking it away: 'Give them the power of prophecy and they may live in fear of the future.' That could have become an entire overarching plot arc if the new series had lasted longer- Charles taking the hints of future events he glimpsed and trying to avoid disasters without being so controlling (he has had problems with that) that the timeline changes.
Wait wait wait. THERE'S A MOVIE?!
Psylocke was such a badass in this film lol - I'd love to see her in the MCU someday.
Other than this, I've only seen her in *Wolverine and the X-Men* (where she exclusively used her telepathic abilities), but her psionic weapons look amazing in action scenes, & I'm suprised by how good her costume was tbh.
I'm really mad they killed Havok like that
His powers include almost complete immunity to energy damage via absorbption, which is what allows him to shoot his cosmic energy blasts

Is Logan next bro? Easily my favorite Xmen movie
Yep!
I didn’t know that is Oscar Issac (Moon Knight) that played the villain. And an old Egyptian villain! And now he plays a hero for an Egyptian god. Kinda… 🤔
But are you going to watch the rest of Moon Knight or didn’t you like it? ☺️
next: he plays either Sphinx or Living Monolith.
No,it's Poe Dameron that played the villian, haha?.
Watch all of them. Make up your own mind about the story. Since neither of you have the lore and history from the comic book the story might make sense from a purely cinematic point of view. Nice reaction.
I don't know why you would skip any of the series based upon the opinions of the comments. It's your reactions that we enjoy and are here to see. People that review movies here on CZcams are so scared they may see a movie they don't like and offend the commentors. In the Dark Phoenix it explains Jean's abilities origin and they are on full display. There would be voids and gaps in your understanding of what the director wanted to achieve. I saw the movie about 15 times and thought it was fantastic. I didn't over analize it to death, but simple enjoyed it for what it was; a great entertaining movie. I hope you elect to watch it; good or bad; your reactions are what matters.
They do this often 🥲
No we don’t 😂
First time watching yer content.

Thanks?? Also, thanks for watching brother!!
Amber Stevens West and Zendaya were considered for Storm till Alexandra Shipp was cast
Quicksilver steals the show again, when do we get his stand alone movie. I want to say go straight to Logan, my favorite Xman movie, but you've already invested the time so may as well watch them all.
Hailee Steinfeld, Chloe Grace Moretz, Elle Fanning, Soarsie Ronan, Daisy Ridley, Lilly Collins and Margot Robbie were considered for Jean Grey.
So instead we got Sansa from GOT who was the weakest actor on that list. Nice going Fox.
There is some really nice concept art of Elle Fanning too.
Soarsie Ronan would have been incredible!
I would love to see your reactions too Dark Phoenix. I don't know why people say it sucked it wasn't that bad
Every time I see someone saying “It wasn’t that bad” you instantly answered my question of why would yo think that and that’s because you don’t have the filmmaking knowledge to know why the movies are good or bad. X-Men Dark Phoenix is a 5/10 movie thanks to some of the actors, that’s it, other than that this movie is trash.
Dark Phoenix was bad because it was a poorly written, contrived film written and directed by a first timer to big budget superhero movies. (He wrote The Last Stand, but this is his first time directing). That movie had:
Bland cinematography
A lot of Plot holes and poor character decisions
Laughable action scenes
Really, truly terrible dialogue
Terribly written and fleshed out villains
Rushed story, poor pacing
Poor character development with little to no insight to how the characters changed by the end
Undeveloped arcs
Some of the plot holes that I can remember (I only watched that trash film once).
Ages…Professor X, Magneto and Mystique are over 50 years old and they still look in their 30’s.
The Villains…There is little to no context surrounding Jessica Chastain character’s backstory. The film briefly explains that Chastain’s character comes from a race of aliens that need the Phoenix Force in order to save their race. The explanation pretty much stops there. The alien race is never given a name. Also, the movie doesn’t explain how the aliens know about the Phoenix Force in the first place.
Magneto using a train to block the building while he could’ve used all the cars that he had outside…
Breathing in space…Since when Quicksilver and Nightcrawler breath in space? They don’t have a helmet and when Nightcrawler and Quicksilver start saving people they aren’t wearing a space suit. They are somehow able to enter zero gravity and save some helpless astronauts.
And now the biggest plot hole in this movie…X-Men Apocalypse third act was all about setting up the Phoenix. In X-Men: Apocalypse, Jean has access to the Phoenix back in 1983 but in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, she gains Phoenix power from an incident in 1992….this is how horrible this movies are written and how horrible interconnected they are.
X-Men Dark Phoenix is horrible and I have WAY more filmmaking knowledge now, if I rewatch that movie I could spot way more stuff but I won’t waste my time with that bs.
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 same is saying that apocalypse die to these mutants lol, just poorly written plot
@@royalecrafts6252 They should’ve use him like Thanos and make it two movies, Apocalypse at the beginning of the movie killed people with sand like nothing but he never used that power again just because…and thanks to the horrible plot of Phoenix, Jean had it here somehow before getting it in Dark Phoenix, this movie is such a joke in writing 😆
@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Mystique can look 5 years old if she wants, so on that point it doesn't equal "bad writing" for her to still look young.
The actress for young Jean is so great and that’s what makes the movie worth it. I enjoy her performances.
Actually if we talking about Erik's different side - it's was always really open that there's nothing more important for him than his family and mutants (he often calls them brothers and sisters). Through comics we can see him being kinda really overprotected about his children and mutants of his communa (but he also was a real dick in those comics as well).
Even in the comics earlier he had a little daughter Anya with Peter's mom but she died at age of 5 from people who set their house on fire. And he killed them all. And he did the same thing in movie (maybe that was producer's idea to include Anya from comics through Nina??)
He always cared for mutants and his family more than anything just like we can see in the comics and in the movies. He would literally kill everyone who touched his children (he has a lot of them lmao)
I'm not surprised he decided to settled down for some time.
You should give Dark Phoenix a watch. Its really not as bad as people make it out to be
agreed
The fact that Jean released the Power of Phoenix and could control It, It's totally oposite of what she did on X-men 3.
What Phoenix Force did Jean released/used in Apocalypse exactly? Jean "received" the Phoenix Force 9 years later, in the following installment, in Dark Phoenix, there was no Phoenix Force in this one, it's just "lazy writing", garbage movie, just like its sequel.
After the events from the Days of the Future Past this a different timeline in which she was never born with the Phoenix, they erased the first trilogy and in the new one she absorbed the Phoenix in space mission 😂😂😂
Dark Phoenix was the first x men movie I watched as a young teen, with a good childhood friend I've lost to time and broken ties. I, for one, would love to watch it(and your reaction) with you! Good, bad, the quality doesn't really matter, plus you both so often have insightful afterthoughts I love hearing 💚
Dark Phoenix only came out 3 years ago, that's not a very long time.
ninetailedbrush is so right to say quicksilver is his fav... legit best character in the x-men series
Imagine how many people died in this movie with all the destruction Erik caused. Anyway, i actually didn't like Dark Phoenix, but you should still watch it to form your own opinions on it. There are a few cool scenes, but i think the conflict of the movie was kinda not done well.
Still need to watch dark phoenix. I personally feel it gets too much hate. I love everything magneto in that movie
All I can say about Dark Phoenix is this...you all should watch it...just to complete the set. And I promise if you do I will click, like, and leave a comment to support you in doing so.
So, this is probably where Charles learned to transfer consciousness to another body, and that's what happened at the end of "the last stand".
You guys need to watch every movie!
I love how Jean use her power it’s was so cool and that’s crazy quicksilver was Erik son I didn’t know and I did think Erik can be good
Bryan Singer should've left the franchise after DOFP
Because he already gave everything he had with DOFP, so it was a lot harder for him to outdo himself again
2 weeks before DOFP's release, a lawsuit was filed against Singer when a former actor accused him and other Hollywood folk of some inappropriate stuff a decade and a half prior. The case ultimately ended after Singer was able to prove in court that he wasn't where his accuser claimed the incidet took place the accuser's legal team quit, but it took him away from a lot of the development of this film.
Of course, other accusations and personal troubles would emerge a few years later following his being fired from Bohemian Rhapsody 2.5 weeks before that movie was to finish production.
Idk if y’all know but this movie is supposed to take place of when they were younger cause if you search up the timeline of the movies it will be in order but they just switched up a few things . And if you pay attention to the year they are in .
Personaly im against skipping films in a franchise since i think even if i dont like it or think its tradh everyone hsd a right to make their own opinion and should give somthing a fare shot But i understand your a youtube channel and also have to think about entertaining your audiance and giving the audiance what they want so while i say go for it and make your own minds up on dark oheonix no hsrd feelings if u dont
I actually liked this one. I really liked the fact that NightCrawler is in it again...my favorite Xmen. Apocalypse is supposed to be the first mutant in the comic books if I remember right. These guys in the beginning are mutants. They are transferring Apocalypse into a new younger body, in this case with healing. Every time he transfers he takes the powers with him, constantly adding new abilities to his cache of powers...making him super powerful. The after credit scene was actually to set up the villain Mister Sinister for the GAMBIT movie that never happened.
The toilet scene with scit is one my favourites its so true to scits power
Scits power not being an actual laser its a optical blast
The energy released from his eyes doesnt have heat it doesnt burn things like light from the sun dies its concentrated energy from anither dimention it has mass
The lasers oush things so the door coming off and bending like its been hit by a truck is acurate
Somone ones exsplained it to me by saying he doesnt burn you he ounches u with his eyes
His glasses somhow are made of a material that reflects that energy back into his eyes safely
His visor releases small amounts so it doesnt hit too much around its not focusing a laser but controling how much of the energy makes it out at all
I've always enjoyed this movie; like you two said, it's fun when they bring aspects of history into their films. Also, Oscar Isaac and Michael Fassbender killing it with their performances, as they tend to do. You guys are extremely genuine and I find myself watching your content more and more. Thanks for the upload!
I think the easiest way to describe Apocalypse's power in this incarnation of the character is threefold:
1. Geomancy/Earth manipulation
2. Transmutation
3. Mutant Amplification
He also clearly has some measure of power he can exert over other mutants, as seen when he forces Xavier to launch the world's nukes, though this may be limited to psychics/telepaths. He also has several other smaller powers (teleportation, shield projection regeneration are what I remember)
Storm’s entrance was AWESOME she really rode down that lightening😍
the quicksilver scene is so epic, when he saves the day
I think it’s important that you actually watch dark phoenix just to get a idea of what it’s about.
Like i said... the most underrated Quicksilver ever
Apocalypse... Oscar Isaac Moon Knight's 4th personality
Psylock really is a deep expansive character for sure. Check out her Ark!
Psylock and Jubilee both have such amazing Arks! Such depth!
X MEN DARK PHOENIX PLEASEEEEEE
It follows the timeline of the young x-men in days of future past cause they change the future. I think it is another timeline or something like that.
Please Watch Dark Phoenix. I actually loved that Movie. and I hope you guys find it exciting/amazing too.
"World's safest school." Right up there with Hogwarts. Lol
No more systems, no more weapons quote goes hard af
If you guys can enjoy the little things from the X-Men movies
Then you're gonna enjoy DARK PHOENIX
This is the latest movie that made me cry.. and I saw that in 2016.. (and over and over again but this is really the only movie which made me cry so far)
While I love the reboot/prequel timeline, my biggest let-down would be the lack of effort to use the hair and makeup team to properly age these characters. Like in this film Charles and Erik should look closer to 48-50 years old. And in the next film they are supposed to be 58-60 years old, and yet no effort.
You guys, watch the anime movie YOUR NAME or Kimi No Nawa! It is considered one of the greatest anime movies, and the emotional core of the film is on the level of pixar. It also features some really beautiful animation. It's a perfect story imo. It'll be a treat to see you react to it! Go in blind, if you do!
It would be better if you guys watch XMenDark Phoenix first and then watch Logan because Logan feels like the end of the whole Fox Xmen Franchise and that movie is a masterpiece
Apocalypse was huge, muscular and scary like Thanos on the animated series and comics.
I like how it took all of the X-Men + Magneto & Storm to beat Apocalypse!
29:54 This scene is so creepy lol. It reminds me of Molly Walker being afraid of Arthur Petrelli in Heroes tbh
Absolutely love quicksilver in these!
Why would you skip a movie in the X-Men series just because some people didn't like it?
I bet some people didn't like this movie, or the last one, or the one before that..
I would bet a gabillion dollars on it.
Everyone beings instantly moved outside with the school destroyed
Also Everyone: Hey look its Raven
Guys please watch xmen dark phoenix it's really not as bad as people say, don't listen to them. Believe me.
Best part of this movie is the opening sequence in Ancient Egypt. The rest of the film doesn't reach the same heights.
I totally disagree. There are many other great scenes in this movie. Heck, Quicksilver beating up Apocalypse is one of them
20:06 I know that in the comics Nightcrawler is Mystique & Azazel's son (which makes perfect sense lol), & Rogue is Mystique's adopted daughter, but I'm glad they avoided those storylines in the films tbh.
I've seen those relationships explored in X-Men: Evolution, & it's kinda weird tbh, especially since Mystique is a proper villain in the show whereas the rebooted films turned her into a hero.
I'm open to seeing what Disney will do w/ the character (hopefully give her a costume lol), but I kinda hope they avoid those relationships again in the MCU tbh.
Can you guys watch “Into the woods” but the 2014 version to see the difference between them.
Quicksilver saves everyone in the school while Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams" plays!!!!!😁
I’ve been waiting for this one
Fun Fact:F. Murray Abraham(Khonshu in "Moon Knight") is the older Apocalypse vessel at the start of the film so that`s twice in MARVEL the two actors have swapped bodies, powers and personalities.
Ugh one of the fav X-men movies, besides the next one following Jean.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😁
This movie is like "Ok, we have destroyed everything and a shit-ton of people have died in buildings/road collapse, but hey, happy ending ! :D " LOL.🤣 I liked it anyway, but damn. RIP to all the dead.
Quicksilver is perfect. 🤩
10:00 walks downstairs and it's just a fruit cellar with jars and jars of canned goods. Her: wtf??
Since Troy i find this actress Rose Byrne so beautiful. When I see this actor that plays Apocalypse I can only think of the new Star War movies that he is in.
What is the function of Moira? She could've given the information they needed, and then erase her mind again. Like, when Charles asked her NOT to tell anyone abt Cerebro. THEN WHY SHOW IT TO HER IN THE FIRST PLACE?! She's so useless in this movie and in First Class after giving them a helpful piece of information. And then, after that she basically does NOTHING! She's just there to be "the love interest" fo Charles but she was barely explored so.... WHY IS SHE HERE?! She wasn't being brought up in Days of Future Past nor in Dark Phoenix. What is her actual purpose?
You didn't saw the end credit scene of Weapon X ?
I love this one but I love more my Ninetalebrush ❤️
Polish in this movie is killing me xD there is like 10 million poles in us and they can't find anyone who speak polish? ;p
This part is in the comics, The creation of the ArchAngel.
You should check out Evan Peters' (Quicksilver) other work like American Horror Story. He's a great actor.
My only problem with all these movies is they did Storm dirty...she was a supporting character when really shes a key Xmen. For this movie specifically...Nightcrawler is Mystique an Azazels son an I would have liked to seen them deal with that.
Loved this one.
Based in the era for which was i introduced to the X-Men comics.
The stakes were more fantastical.
As supernatural as the comics could get for that era.
Apocalypse was always the bigger threat than Magneto.
Eventually Erik would join the X-Men to fight him on occasion.
Great that in this installment, the battle and victory over Apocalypse would define the X-Men as heroes to the world.
Those 2 endings were wonderful.
The class of 1983 assembly with Mystique and brand new students as an team.
The alkaline lake scene with the ESSEX name foreshadowing Logan (that was hinted at comic-con 2015).
