Is there no end to this man's talents? Rock star, artist, actor? He has it all! Plus he's so hot! I can't wait to watch this film!
Sarah I agree he's very hunky
@@ANONYMOUS-xd3eu Going to see him next weekend with PIL, can't wait! ❤❤❤
@@ANONYMOUS-xd3eu He certainly is! Absolutely gorgeous! ❤❤❤
@@Sarah-gf9edHi Sarah. My Daughter absolutely LOVES! That you Love John Lydon! Becouse she does to! She is 13 years old now and Absolutely Loves PIL/sex Pistols she started listening to PIL when she was 11 fell in love when she was 12!😊 Is 15 now.
m'kay
lol
geez! lydon looks exactly like the boy i used to like in high school.. it gives me chills!!!
Watched this film last week, thoroughly enjoyed. I was very impressed with Johnny's acting, thought he was excellent plus he has the good looks! I think he's absolutely gorgeous and very handsome! ❤❤❤💋💋💋
Adore Lydon so much. Bought this on DVD, great movie!
This movie makes me feel very dumb. I wish I could understand it. Lydon is just as snarky as ever. I love the evil little smile, and yet he is so vulnerable. He is one of my favorite humans.
It's shit isn't it
@@ANONYMOUS-xd3eu I don't think so.
No way! I had no idea he acted in a movie!!! At first I was kind of surprised but then I realized why not why am I surprised?
What a treat! Couldnt stop watching this little gem.Good to see our Johnny in a film!
Barry Norman reviewed this film when it came out and praised Lydon’s performance. He was however unsure as to whether or not he was a good actor or merely just being himself so reserved judgement until he appeared in more films, which he didn’t unfortunately. In his book Anger Is An Energy Lydon talks about the whole experience, it’s pretty interesting.
To much hard work
I remember the Barry Norman review. The clip they showed was when Keitel grabbed Lydon by his hair and shoved his head in the oven.
It was decades later that I actually saw the film on dvd. It was fucking terrible. Lydon said acting didn't come natural to him when he's been acting all his life.😁
I just bought "Anger Is An Energy" and can't wait to read it! I've been on a pretty heavy PIL kick this last month and I've been watching every interview with Lydon I can find. I find him endlessly entertaining.
@@soft_serve_666good book
This story line was actually gripping especially at the end with all the phycology stuff going on
Love johnny ♥️
This movie is called cop killer I enjoyed it obviously John isn’t the best acting but he’s damm entertaining to me and thx for posting this mate
John is a bit like Julian Sands here. He definitely could have had a career in acting with his looks and charisma, but that's if he would have wanted such a thing. He would have had to conform and not sure he would have wanted to.
I was blown away to see mafia cop Stephen Caracappa was Harvey Keitel’s consultant on the film. This would’ve been at the height of his work as an associate for the New York crime families while he was a detective, sort of art imitating life in a way.
This is BRILLIANT JOHN could have easily taken acting up big (time) rotten is FANTASTIC in this !!!!!!!!!
Yes he is old bean....yes he is indeed.
@Stanly Stud STANLEY STUD ??? WHAT A JOKE 🤣 OF A NAME WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT A CUNTING JOKE WHO GIVES ONE FUCK WHAT YOU THINK , FUKKIN NOBODY !!!!!!! STANLEY STUD ,,,THAT IS A LOAD OF CRAP ,!!!!!! JOHNNY ROTTEN IS A STAR,,,,, STANLEY STUD,,,,,??? NO ONE!!!!!!!! GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!
Twisted! An obscure one you don't hear about though I reckon Tarantino has.
Thanks for the awesome movie !
It's cool to see musicians that I like in movies. It happens from time to time. Johnny did a really good job. I wish I interviewed people. I would ask. Johnny why this is the only movie he'd ever acted in. He was incredibly good on this
Because he hated the stress of the whole filming business
I remember at the time reading something about him disliking the lack of creative control that actors have in the process. Directors and editors make the final choices on performances and takes and he didn’t like where that process went. Or something like that.
he's a miserable git who doesn't like being told what to do
@Mr Anon 🙄
Same as Chris Rea in Parting Shots
I Can't Believe Johnny is Being Quiet and Subdued.. THAT IS GOOD ACTING!! 😉 lol.
Thanks for uploading this.
This movie makes no sense whatsoever. Its main saving grace is that Harvey Keitel and John Lydon have enough talent and charisma to keep a viewer's attention throughout. It also stands as proof that some Ennio Morricone soundtracks are out-and-out clunkers.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys movies in which good actors are forced to work with a ridiculous script. That's what makes this a fun watch, in my opinion.
Yeah Morricone is responsible for good chunk of the tonal problems here. With the raw material this film could be saved in an edit suite.
I found this in the video rental store at my Army base back in the late '90s. Couldn't believe it existed. I was a huge Sex Pistols/PiL fan and wanted to see John Lydon in his own movie, opposite Harvey Keitel!
Well, the movie isn't that good, through no fault of Keitel and Lydon. The editing and the score are strange and erratic. The initial plan was for Lydon's band Public Image, Ltd. to provide a soundtrack for the film, and that would've been interesting. To reiterate, it is the strange pacing and odd sound that doom this, not the performances, per se.
fucking hilarious
Saw this film few years back,, I thought it was a very good film ,, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Reminds me of Drop dead Fred meets Mean Streets.
YES! That's hilarious lol!!
I ❤️jl he’s freaky in a kind og crazy Way i also ❤️sv
Nice classic cult movie. Reminds me of "The French Connection" & "The Italian Job". B-)
The grandmother is the head civil service from Beetlejuice..this movie was released in the US as "Corruption"
Of course Johnny is no Brando right here but for his first acting gig I believe he did a pretty decent job. He could have become a professional actor if he would have acted more
Didn't know about this! Why do we English seem pretty good at playing emotionless nutbags? No, it doesn't come naturally!😅
priceless dance moves
Absolute cult classic film
53:44 im about to sob, my poor baby boy🥺
This movie can't get copyright striked, cause it's public domain, fwiw
Really ? I didn’t know, thank you
fascinating piece. public domain movie with keitel and lydon. cool stuff.
@@jeyemarchives4006 lol XD
Thank God!
Yes🇬🇧
👏👏👏👏❤️💥
Strange film.
This poor movie ...how many names does it have ?
To add to confusion, there's a new film in 2019 in France now called "A Couteau Tiré" ("Knives Out" with Daniel Craig), the same name for the French "Order of Death" version.
I thought it was Frank Spencer
John. What a movie. Very good. About a cop and his conscience. I get the whole deal. Better than the Pistols. No.
I’d have liked to have seen him in a decent film...a higher budget film....this one is terrible!
4/10 a complete waste of talent in a 😴 boringly dull film 🎥 that's poorly filmed/edited/scripted and strung out to the point of falling asleep almost.
John lydon does a decent job. 👏
BS on celluloid.
Bet John insisted on the Gooner bag 🎒
No doubt!!
You know he did.
wow, you get the feeling there's a movie here but it's actually laughable
So were Fred and Bob gay??
Good question. I would say yes. How many corrupt cops would invest their ill gotten in a shared apartment no one else knows about? Also, when Bob tried to force Fred at gunpoint to release Leo, it seemed more as an expression of jealousy than any concern for Leo's well-being.
Oh Dear! Johnny can't act....except for his role type cast as Johnny Rotten of course.
knobcheese
Is this the worst movie ever made?
no.
Almost!!😉🤣
See Gigli or any number of “gay cinema” films. Much worse.
And the prize for the most wooden actor of all time is.....
He played a psycho, what did you expect.
Bollocks.
@@andrewmitchell269 Someone who could act
...who?
That would be Keanu Reeves.😉🤣
As wooden as a chair leg
atrocious
If it had amber heard shooting dead Johnny Depp I would of enjoyed it much more
Absolutely dreadful, bad acting, bad script. Shite😂😂
