Thankyou! I'm from Australia and I'm 47 years old. I loved this as a kid. Back then, if you were a boy, you just had to have a BMX, it was a way of life. Seeing this brings back so many great memories.
Same here.
Cool storie but nobody cares
@@theorchardist5235 no reason to be a dick
Yeah,me too. WHAT A FILM.THanks for uploading this.Beautiful memories from my childhood.
@Doves Spot on.There were some great eighties bands Jesus and Mary Chain, Simple Minds,U2,Pixies.The film industry was spectacular though. I am from England and wanted to be a BMX bandit also.
I'm a 46 years old Egyptian and as a kid I've rented this movie 100s of times it was my favorite movie ❤️
I use to drool over the bikes in this movie, now as a adult i drool over the cars in the background lmao
I'm still drooling over the bikes...
lol ,,, me too,,
Drool over both...
I miss my Dyno GT from childhood 😢
Safety
Spectacular movie! I saw it twice in the cinema in those years. The eighties were the best
Yeah, this and Rad were awesome movies.
1980s classic australian movies
What a trip down memory lane this was.. I remember being 6 years old when I see this for the 1st time, 39 years and still 100% the best ever BMX movie.. PERIOD!!
Thank you so much for sharing.. God I missed those sound effects.
You've seen "RAD?"
Was 11 when I saw this....lol didnt remember it was australian.
1.20.30 : the crew .
Nuff respect .
RAD has this flick FADED
I'm from ANGOLA and I'm 47 years old. I loved this as a kid. Back then, if you were a boy or GIRL, you just had to have a BMX, it was a way of life. Seeing this MOVIE AGAIN brings me back so many GREAT memories. THANK YOU!!!
What a week for nostalgia, first my dad calls and says "hey I cleared the barn and found your old bike (86 Redline) just had to see if this movie was on YT and here it is
Cool have you ridden it yet? I have an old 78/9 redline mxii amongst other bikes ive collected thru the yrs. Thanks to my understanding wife my collection or i should say our collection has grown since she started to ride with me an the kids.
Waited 40 years to see this. I was 9 years old when I watched this at the movie theatres in Adelaide, South Australia 🇦🇺 I am now 49. Cheers 🙂
I was six now 46✌️
I'm from Africa, I loved these movies as a kid on VHS. Didn't know they were Australian though. Crocodile Dundee 🐊 too with Paul Hogan.
I'm 47 and I've loved this movie since I first watched it and like every other of the era I had a BMX a couple actually.
As a Dude here in the USA & from the 80's, and also as someone that was into BMX & Skateboards. I cannot believe that I've never seen nor heard of this Movie before. Also I'm not sure it ended up on my Recommended list, but Thank You nonetheless.
I'm from the UK. BMX was huge here in the 80s. I can't believe you've not seen it.
As another dude from the US who was twelve when this came out… I can not believe, I’ve never seen this before!! My mom was British, I made her a nervous wreck as I’d practice my tricks. At least I got to live it, still have my CW Racing Phaze One, GJS freestyler and the Schwinn Predator that started all. To this day I can’t get on a bike without putting it on one wheel
@@user-we1fj1qc4h That's RAD!!!
@@user-we1fj1qc4hI'm here in the USA as well. Was 9 when this came out and if you didn't at least have HBO ( not to mention Showtime and Cinemax) then you wouldn't have seen this. I don't remember it being at the movies. Me and most my friends wanted a BMX because of this movie I ended up with a Red and chrome Huffy.
Listen dude i wasn’t even thought about yet but when i first watched this movie i knew i had to have a mongoose this got me into biking more I’ve been hooked on this movie ever since
Being a 'mid school' BMXer this isn't really my era, only being 3 in 83. However, having lived in Manly and the Northern beaches for almost 9 years, (where I got back into riding) this movie still fills me with joy and memories, as I now look out on the green and rainy hills of Yorkshire....
Oh wow, thanks for posting this gem of a movie. It really takes me back seeing how young Nicole Kidman was.
😍😍😍
I loved this movie when I was around 9-10 years old! I wanted to BMX on an amateur level so bad... Watching it now at 45, I thought it was gonna be cheesy, but it has held up! I've had a few chuckles... And seeing Nicole Kidman this young, oh... I so much wanted to be this character when I was a kid! 😂🤙🏻
There is not enough cheese in the world to describe how bad this movie is LOL...and I love B movies, but wow, this one has it all,bad acting, terrible plot, ridiculous bad guys, useless cops, terrible jokes, and the stars dressed like gay power rangers..and the woosh! sounds when they jump a pebble or something..oh and they can't even outrun 2 inept bad guys on foot with BMX bikes hahaha
Its so bad cheesy doesn't come close. Mind you i am American, but i have seen many Aussie B movies.. it's no running on empty which had its fair share of bad stunts! Glad to see snow survived Gallipoli however! :)
Me 37
My favourite movie from when I was a kid
Love the opening scene of how cool it was to ride down steps, not paying any attention to the beautiful railing on the right! The progression from when I rode in the 80s to now is unthinkable!
I thought the same thing, as a skateboarder the railings was the only option lol I remember this film from when it came out, it seemed so much cooler back then lol
Awesome to see this again, I was 14 when this came out, queued for hours at the cinema on the opening day, happy memories, thanks for posting 🤗
OMGOMGOMG!!!! I haven't seen this movies in literal decades! Great find! Totally made my day!
We are glad you enjoyed this early Nicole K. film. Stay tuned for more movies like this.
First bike was a Black Huffy with mag wheels. Loved it. Then got a chrome Diamondback in 6th grade. Loved it even more! Not sure how my mom did it. So much appreciation & gratitude for her giving me her all, something no one else has done my entire life.
Thank you, mom.
I had a chrome DB Super Viper back in the day. Mowed many, many, lawns to buy it. 😅
Can't remember one thing about this movie except I know I loved it when it came out. I was born in 1975.
One of the greatest movies ever made. I used to watch this as a kid and then go out biking with my red BMX with the red wheels. Classic!
Thank you.Iam 53 years old and have seen this as a teen ..bmxer
This is a great old school movie with BMX bikes i loved driving bmx as a child. Good old school movie to bring back old feelings we thought we lost.
I watched this at breakfast and it’s making me want to pull out my GT Pantera and RIDE !
Even though, other than Nicole Kidman, there wasn't anyone else really well known here in the movie, I thought the really decent acting by pretty much everyone made the script work. It elevated this movie way higher than it should have been, and made it fun to watch. It still is today. 😁
Thanks a whole lot honestly. The first movie I ever got on laser desk. It's awesome. I think I still have it somewhere.
Definitely one of the best movies ever! Grew up watching that nearly every Friday night as a kid renting it from Blockbuster 😂
Born in ‘84, can’t believe that was made in ‘83!
I rarely watch a whole movie nowadays but I’ve just watched all that like I was 12 again 😂 nostalgic 👌🏼
“The good ol’ days”
Watched this movie nearly everyday when I was a kid.
😁👏👏👏👏👏LA PRIMERA PELICULA DE NICOLE KIDMAN Y UN RECUERDO ENTRAÑABLE PARA LOS QUE HACIAMOS BMX EN ESA EPOCA👏👏👏👏🤗🤗🤗
Seeing this today instantly rekindled my jealousy of my two friends. One had a badass Haro, the other had a Diamondback. My brother and I used to watch this on HBO back when the "remote" was a big brown box of buttons connected to the TV with a cord. Good times
A row of buttons and a three way toggle switch, top, middle and bottom, so each button controlled three channels. I remember getting one like it was yesterday, watching “You Can’t Do That on Television” on Nickelodeon.
One day this came on HBO, I checked every hour for months to see if it was back on. As a kid I didn't know TV guides existed.
Is it sad that I knew most of the lines in this movie and haven't seen it since the 80's? @ the age of 47, I really enjoyed seeing this masterpiece again. Will never forget "You're right in the poo now sister." That became a familiar phrase around the house when I was a kid. And singing along to "Ready to Fly" by The Papers..
That ending credits montage is forever etched my memory. Such a great finish to a fun movie! I never knew BMX was so big in Australia.
Thank you, CZcams and whoever posted this video for reminding me of 1982 Nicole Kidman ha ha ho boy she’s something else😮
I've never seen this before, I'm 48 now but love it , was this b4 ET, as that was the BMX movie I grew up with 😊
Back in the 80s this was my first favourite film. Use to rent it on video all the time.
Thanks for posting this. I watched it for the first time on its 40th anniversary and it was a lot more fun than I was expecting.
I was 12 when this came out and had just got a BMX for my birthday, a red Pro Lite
Loved this film as a child ❤️
I had the 1983 MK1 Raleigh Burner BMX with yellow mags aged 12/13yrs back then but i preferred the Raleigh Chopper for comfort and popping longer wheelies.
MEGA UPLOAD! Thanks for sharing. Saw this at the Odeon, in Edinburgh UK for my Birthday, aged 6. BMX was huge. Been Hooked on two wheels, ever since.
I was born in 82 one of my favorite movies growing up.
I was born to late for the best times this earth will ever have..wish I lived back then
It was amazing, bruh... all yt..
Whats wrong with now?
@@delgado_lucid I'm here..
Whole new respect for Nicole Kidman riding a BMX... Fun movie..
What a great movie. I’d never seen it before or heard of it. Thanks for a flash back to a much simpler time
Thank you .. this movie remains me when I first got my BMX in 1984 .. love it 😍👍👍
This deserves a soundtrack release
Loved this movie!!!! 48 now. It was always on hbo
Thanks for the memories!
Thank you for this movie 🍿🎥 I really appreciate it old school 💙🙏
You are welcome. Continue to follow us for more hidden gems!
Born in 1983. At the age of 40, I'm watching this for the first time now.
Great movie! Thank you for uploading it!
The first BMX MOVIE ever 😊🎉
Awesome. TY for uploading this!!!! True classic!
Definitely watching this tonight with a blunt
Such an awesome movie👍🏻👍🏻
Still diggin' the name of actor Angelo D'Angelo!
I recorded this Movie on a huge vcr back when it got to the states on cable. The song over the credits is probably one of the first songs that i cared to hear over and over. I was 10....Bmx! ... BmX!
I was such a dorky kid, I loved this movie and held up a tape recorder to the tv and recorded the song at the end so I could take it with me, I played it on a number of bike rides and school bus rides. But I've never looked for the movie and watched it as an adult. I'm sure it's terrible but I sure loved it at 12.
The cemetery scene is creepier than most horror movies in the last 20 years.
Just finished it and wow what a movie. I so wish I'd seen this one as a kid because I would've been in ecstasy. Looks colorful/vibrant with thrilling chase set-pieces involving fun characters? What else could you ask for? Brian Trenchard-Smith is terribly underrated and I believe this and The Man From Hong Kong prove it. Recommended.
The batteries are amazing in those walkie talkies!!
love this film !
Loving this, I’m 48 now, wish I was still riding around on my diamondback formula 1, lads then lived for bmx.
Goated movie. Takes me back.
I watched this in the concorde cinema when it came out...good to see again for the memories and to see how bad my taste in films was...great for promoting bmx though
thankyou 4 this old classic ,,, kez swanses uk 52yrs old
I would have absolutely flipped over this as a kid!
Havent seen this classic since i was s kid. Thanks for posting.
I want to pay special mention to the music score ... nothing says ACTION like 80s electro/rock 😆😄😄 🤘🤚🙅♀️🚴♂️.. couldn't keep still in my chair 😂😂
Real life stunts and full chase scenes, awesome !
Thanks for the uplaod ! 😃
(And oooh the men in the tiniest stubbies 😅😋 hahahaa)
Now post the bmx movie RAD next!
Blast from the past! Been looking for this movie for yonks!! Thanks for the memories uploader :))))
Fun movie... thanks for sharing!!
E.T, believe it or not should be known as a BMX movie as well.
DUDE !!!!! I watched this as a kid and totally forgot it existed!!! Thanks
Edit - I am surprised it is still pretty decent for the time frame and as a young person film. I don't know why - I guess the times were different - but my parents let me watch anything back then and I watched zombie flicks, slashers, BMX... you name it. I am surprised I was into something so wholesome. And having a little boy crush on powder puff before she was known to me as Nicole Kidman the famous actress. LOL Good Times.
Now back to my thankless job making less than I should, contemplating what I should have done differently my whole life. HAHA
I miss my moongoose Green BMX bike !!!!! Good old days here in Brazil
Really miss the 80's and 90's
The amount of time back in the 80s as a kid after watching this spinning my bike peddle lol
I seen this a long time ago in America, never knew what it was, always wanted to seen it again. This inspired me to get a bike. Never knew it was Nicole Kidman, or Australia. That's cool. Always remembered this movie.
I was 12 when this came out i still have a crush on Nicole Kidman and loved this movie.
Great flick
1:28 I was anticipating them to grind the rails, but then realized this was the early 80's years before grinding handrails came into existence...
الموسيقى رائعه انها روح زمن الثمانينات
Giving me Rad vibes. Rad still my favorite movie as a kid.
Thanks for uploading, the quality is great! This takes me back... ❤
Greetings from Croatia!
David Bowie looks really young in this film.
Biggest crush ever on Nicole! That accent!🔥
BMX was like the king for us kids back on those days.
Got to love the boarder system
OMG Brother/Sister for putting this up. @14 i had my 1st Brand new BMX Burner Put CW Bars a Layback seatpost and was NEVER IN the House. Back then it was called SUMMER [Fresh Sun-BURN] Was NORMAL Today it;s GLOBAL WARMING BS. These 70s/80s/90s were the BEST.
I always wanted to be a bum bandit too because of this film.
I wonder if Nicole Kidman did all her own stunts in this movie, and if so, if she keeps up on her BMX skills 😂👍🏾?
Maybe they can do a sequel where she's a team manager/owner or something, and has a daughter racing?
there was a stunt double Pro BMX rider who was wearing a padded bra lol
This brought back memories! Remember watching this in the cinema when I was a kid.. Even the police showed up before the movie began to warn us NOT to replicate any of the stunts from the movie! It had the opposite effect! hahahaha
Definitely an Nostalgic Movie In a lot of ways Just They really corned it out with the whole chasing for an hour
Loved this movie as a kid & first time seeing since then. I had no recollection that Nicole Kidman was in it. Makes me want to get an old GT Performer or Hutch Trick Star. Xmas is coming up ...
Flash back to my youth 👊🏼
I've been looking for a movie that's 60% BMX montage with a dark twisting plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Watching this now makes me appreciate the evolution in helmet fashions. Those sun visors look so dorky...
This and thrashin...loved em both..
Brilliant 😆👍
What a belter of a movie. Yeah, remember when this came out? I was into BMX in already had a few trophies for freestyle. And a couple of broken fingers.😂😂 What an epic movie forgot is. Well, that Nicole Kidman was in this film. Look out for she's come now.😊😊 Deano 🇬🇧 wop wop
I saw this when I was eight years old back in 1983 at my local cinema, thought it was the coolest shit ever.
I remember going to the cinema to watch this
