    I'm screwing a 1 1/2" , 2 x 4 into a 3/4" plywood top, several of the screws strip out of the plywood using the 1 1/4" screw.
A chart that has you enter the thickness of both pieces is showing to use a 1 1/2" screw.
Confusing but what do you think is right?

I always go by the chart on the box to match the length of screw with material thickness. I have also run into issues like this when using softer or poorly manufactured plywoods. If it’s not grabbing, I’ve put another hole nearby and try again. I hope this helps.

Can you recommend the clamps you used in this video?

I have added links to each of the clamps used into the video description if you want to check them out. I love the wood project clamp and the pocket hole clamp. The right angle clamp is "ok" but I also included links for some better corner and box clamps. I hope this helps!

I didn’t count, but you probably “screws” about 73 times. 😂
