    Whoa Nelley, 1956 and hit the bricks. No, you got most of the VIN decoding wrong, but that's OK. LOL. Thanks to all who served or are serving the country.
    We got the VIN, we win: M for 292 CID V8 with four barrel, approximately 202 HP (since it's an automatic, a manual transmission had about 200 HP), 6 for 1956 model year, D for Dallas, TX assembly, T for Fairlane Tudor sedan and the rest is the production sequence. The Dallas, TX plant closed in 1970.
    We got the tag, we can brag: 73C for Ford Fairlane Tudor sedan, C for Bermuda Blue/E for Colonial White, S for "Style Tone" paint combination, H for Light Blue/Medium Blue cloth interior trim, 21B for Tuesday February 21, 1956 production and 698 for the 698th car produced and the ""D" might mean Dallas, TX assembly again.
    Whoa Nelley, Autolite soon to be out of sight. That's it, time to quit. Ford Tudor soon to be no more. Style Tone needed a bone. Going to be flat and that's that. Made in the Lone Star State and never that great. 292 and it's over for you. Going to get squished and even in 1956, no one was that remotely pissed.

      @@davidmckinney6577 Thank goodness for that. If the world was filled with 1950s cars today, we'd be in trouble. They were right for the times and I'm all for keeping the ones alive that are out there, but on the whole, they were pretty bad.

      @@ClassicRideSocietyHey Benny, I just got my Dad's 1976 Monte Carlo back and could use some parts/trim/etc.
      I know you collect those parts from seeing alot of your videos, do you have a website or email we can reach you at?
      Take good care of your spine- take some Aleve and rest up, my back is messed up too.
      God Bless!

    At least this one got a second life at some point and was mildly customized. She lasted longer than most 50's cars. There are still some 50's cars in a few yards near me, but they're really heavily, heavily rusted. One could probably rip them apart with their bare hands.

    Cool car. Ive seen worce being saved. But being in a place like that I'm guessing it will be picked apart, those chromed details and enterior parts being first. In my place, more doors are more desired even as classics.

    • @ClassicRideSociety
      @ClassicRideSociety  Před 2 měsíci +2

      even sadder is that it may not be picked over much before ot gets crushed as this yard doesn't get much traffic

  • @rscamarolover

    Even though she's a Ford still sad to see this car junked. I would cry if she was a 55 chevy no matter how many doors. I prefer classic wagons the most but I am just as fond as 4 doors in this Era as I am 2 doors. I can't believe someone junked her though. Thanks for posting,, I wish I was born when these cool cars were rolling all over.
