    Thanks for this Rob. So it's here I need to be playing if I want to add Reverb to our live stream mix but not to our FOH mix (the Church sanctuary has a natural reverb)?

      Thx Caersalem. Glad you found it helpful. I have since posted a few other videos on FX that go into much more detail. This video was very basic, but yes it does explain how you can get FX for your stream mix that won’t affect FOH

    Bob, we use the ME-500 and ME1 for our in ear monitor system. We don’t get any effects in these, is there a way of doing that? (Vocal effects is what we’re hoping for)
    After watching all your videos, I haven’t found (or I missed it) an answer that would address this issue. Any help/advice is appreciated.

      Hi Shaun. The QU series desks create a new and separate audio signal by default when you apply FX. In order to hear those FX on the ME units, you need to assign the FX return to a channel of the ME and allow users to adjust that. You can change the Ch assigned to the ME on the Monitor tab

    I can’t get effects on the left side of mix 7/8. Effects work on all other mixes and mains. Any thoughts?

      Any signal that doesn't show up on both sides of a stereo output suggests it has been panned one way or the other, Check the source and FX send and FX return and find which of these have been panned to the right

    Hi sir! On my Qu-24 I have my FX return up on my Mix 1 Layers tab but reverb isn’t coming out of that Mix monitor. Is there a way to fix that?

    • @soundadvicewithrob3083
      @soundadvicewithrob3083  Před 2 lety +1

      Are you also sending some channel signal into the reverb with FX send layer and the master of that layer

      @@soundadvicewithrob3083 Also I was wondering whats the easiest way to do a virtual soundcheck on the Qu?

    • @soundadvicewithrob3083
      @soundadvicewithrob3083  Před 2 lety +1

      For a virtual sound check I suggest you watch my videos on gain staging and mixing. I use a prerecorded mulitrack but you could also simply record your band as a multitrack and play that back for soundcheck. Part1 focuses on gain staging and part2 gets into the actual mixing process. czcams.com/video/i9L7eOFep5Y/video.html

      @@soundadvicewithrob3083 So when I start recording with the qu drive it says there are a couple of errors and when I go back to listen to what I’ve recorded I don’t hear any audio. But I see the meters moving in the multitrack screen when I’m recording, is there any way to fix this?
