Sometimes when you have constipation, the stool might sit on your kidneys, causing you to urinate more frequently than normal.

Putting together some information from different places I have found a cure for constipation.
Constipation in older people can be caused from not enough fiber in their diets. Fiber increases good bacteria
in your digestive system making you digest normally. Chia seeds are VERY HIGH in fiber, I had constipation for 2 months then started taking chia seeds
regular serving size all 3 meals a day. This has completely fixed my problem. Vegetables and nuts are not enough fiber to do this.
Hemorrhoides is usually also a problem from not getting enough fiber in your diets.
One of my sources of information talked about eating the cereal one fiber bran to relieve Hemorrhoides as this is also very high fiber.
This can work but is also contains sugar and wheat in the cereal so if you don't want the sugar or wheat go to chia seeds.

I tried chia seeds two different ways for about a week each once soaking them in water for a couple of minutes and also letting them sit overnight in water and both times it made me more constipated and I drink 4 32 ounce jugs of water a day. So just a heads up it doesn’t work for everyone :(

In the case of chronic and severe constipations it will be the best to take at the time a suitable dose castor oil (a large tablespoon with 1/2 oz= 15 ml castor oil) on an empty stomach.

I face constipation since last 20 years and after many experiments I noticed, stop consuming wheat and glutinous food items, dairy products + fasting is helping a lot. I am coping it with,
    1.5 liter fluid /daily,
    Probiotics at bed time,
Prune juice or prunes 3 times/week,
    Magnesium citrate,
    Adult gummy fibers.

I had constipation from age 8 to... when I changed diet and quit all milk & dairy products + all wheat products. It's totally finished. There is one thing too: social constipation. I was in a boarding school for 4 years, on Mondays the toilet was approx clean but ... until Saturdays it was terrible. So I had to hold until the weekend when I was at home. Then I became a single mother with 2 kids... no time... and again I waited until the weekend. Social constipation may fit in the idiopathic type. Every now and then 30 g of Epsom salt in 1 liter of apple juice. Put it in the fridge, shake well, take that in the evening. Next morning, I guarantee you...

A considerable proportion of people can achieve a regular bowel movement by just doing an asian squat or even just by trying to asian squat. Of course eat plenty of fibre, drink plenty of water (but not too much) and see a doctor if symptoms persist. And please let others know this info as only a small proportion of people know about the asian squat's benefits in releaving constipation. Also, eat prunes.
