  • 🔴Colon cancer (also known as colorectal cancer) is among the top 3 cancers worldwide. Because of that, many screening tests have been developed to catch colon cancer early. In addition to screening tests, it is essential for us to be familiar with colon cancer symptoms. In the present video we plan to go over 6 early signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer. Besides, several important questions about colorectal cancer are answered:
1️⃣ There are many screening tests for large bowel cancer. So, is it still necessary to know colon cancer signs and symptoms❓
ABSOLUTELY yes, we explain why everyone is supposed to be familiar enough with colorectal cancer symptoms.
    2️⃣ Is cancer location important❓
In general, large intestine cancers are classified into right (proximal) and left (distal). This classification is clinically very important since proximal and distal colon cancers are different in their presenting symptoms. In this video we briefly talk about their differences.
3️⃣ What is the most common sign of colon cancer❓
There are 6 relatively common symptoms and some other uncommon, bizarre ones. Among all symptoms, there is a very common sign we will talk about.
4️⃣ Since iron deficiency anemia is common in colon cancer, do all patients with iron deficiency anemia need colonoscopy❓
absolutely Don't. only 2 groups need colonoscopy we will talk about.
🔴 So if you want to learn more about Early signs and symptoms of colon cancer, smash the play button ▶️ ASAP:

Folks, being a man and rather shy about medical exams regarding colons and prostates, just get the exams done. Wishing away symptoms or simply ignoring them is foolish and selfish. Always remember the gift of life and that these tests can save you years though early detection and prevention. Live to be in your 70's and more if you detect these diseases early rather than die in your 50s and 60's. Really the tests are easy.

Yes. My Dad practically ate whole bottles of Tums and stool softeners thinking that his ''stomach'' pain was the problem. By the time we got him to a doctor, he was stage 4 and died 6 months later. All because he didn't want to outlive my Mom who had COPD and died 9 months before him. Get the colonoscopy-it isn't as bad as you think. Miss you Mom and Dad.

Colonoscopies aren't that bad. You do a day of prep which sucks but on the day of the procedure you check in to the facility, get gowned, do a little paperwork, lie down in a gurney, they put you out and next thing you know you're waking up and getting ready to go back home! It's so relieving to get a clean bill of health afterwards.

When my husband went in for a colonoscopy in 2004 to remove the 2 polyps the doctors had found, they told him (and I) that they had gotten the polyp. I said, they were to remove 2 polyps. They told me they had made a mistake in reading the screening, and that there was only one. I said, well that's weird, for I had seen the imaging.I asked them, what if you tried to get the and polyp and didn't, and now its free-floating around in his body? That just wouldn't happen, they replied. Two years later my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and died 2 years after that

How do you say it's colon cancer producing these symptoms without doing colonoscopy?
First, although weight loss is so important and basic workup for cancer is absolutely essential it's not always due to cancers. diabetes, hyperactive thyroid and chronic infections can be other causes.
Second, Just black, sticky stools with a foul smell is called melena being a sign of GI bleeding. So black stool itself doesn't equal to melena. Many foods and drugs can make stool color dark...

You have iron deficiency state (NOT iron deficiency anemia) which warrants colonoscopy since iron deficiency in men is often due to blood loss from digestive system. And this is everyday especially on hotter days it’s worse . I was taking acid reducer prescribed by dr from Kaiser . I get full fast , bloated mostly every day and so gassy in my stomach and I have stomach pain to . Sometimes I have really puffy soft skinny stool and watery diarrhea they did a endoscopy and removed a small polyp and seen my esophagus was irritated and the rest looked normal . I have a appointment April 14 8:20am for a colonoscopy procedure and I’m kinda scared I might have colon cancer . I’m 24 years young and have a 2yr old daughter and wife . I’m 189lb .they did blood work on me and stool test but haven’t gotten results yet. I also tend to get really fatigue at work I feel heavy heavy no energy so idk if that’s part of the GERD or stomach problems I’m having .

    • @healthmakers...
      @healthmakers...  Před rokem +1

First of all, GERD in your age (especially if causes esophageal erosion known as esophagitis) increases risk of esophageal cancer. So you NEED to take acid reducers for at least 2 months to see if it relieves your symptoms or not. Another beneficial treatment for early GERD is anti-reflux surgery (called fundoplication - make sure to have a conversation with a surgeon or internist doctor on that)...
About your stomach polyp, some are benign (like hyperplastic polyps) while others are precancerous or neoplastic (like adenomatous polyps). To realize what kind of polyp you had, pathologist consult is required...
and about your diarrhea, colon cancer is rare in your age (only certain familial disorders like FAP, peutz jeghers syndrome, etc develop colon cancer too early). However colonoscopy is surely needed since your diarrhea is persistent and chronic and your stomach polyp may be neoplastic (Neoplastic polyps increase the risk of colon cancer). Other diseases like irritable bowel disease, celiac disease, IBS, etc need to be evaluated (They can cause chronic diarrhea as well). Hope to be healthy in your whole life.

I've not had a colonoscopy yet but I have been having stomach issues ever since I had a case of h.pylori bacteria.
I recently visited a Wellness Clinic and did an at home test to collect stool samples and send them away for testing. I also had bloodwork done to test for food allergies.
It turns out that my gut microbiome is unbalanced. I have several unhealthy bacteria and not enough good bacteria. This situation has caused me to have a lot of inflammation throughout my bowels & loose stools. My bloodtest also showed I'm allergic to 41 different foods that I had no idea & that are also contributing to my bowel inflammation.
I've started making diet changes and things are slowly improving. In short, don't assume the worst but definitely get checked if you have sever symptoms. Consider having your stool tested for bacteria imbalance & blood checked for food allergies.

Hi Doc/Sir. I’m experiencing some of the signs and symptoms in you video. I’m 26 y/o
It’s started in January 1, at first I feel something in my left part abdomen a feeling of pricked by a needle. Then a few days I got constipated and it’s hard to poop. So I go to a clinic to see a doctor and it was just say it’s constipation. I still feel the pain all over my abdomen and feeling bloated.
but I can make poop now. Narrow sometimes and sometimes it’s looks normal.
It’s 1 month now and 3days, until now I still feel pain in my left-between-right from time to time. But the pain is not that much hurt compare from the last month (January).
I also feel tired sometimes and sometimes I have good energy. I feel that I’m not bloated now. It’s feels normal.
I don’t see any blood in my poop.
Thank you Doc/Sir. I hope you reply sir, It means to me 🥺 This sick give me stress. Help me sir.
    🙏🏼🇵🇭

Feeling pain in lower areas of abdomen has many causes. Constipation can cause abdominal pain itself. However other conditions like irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, etc are likely too. Colon cancer in your age is very rare. Only individuals with a strong family history (like FAP disease) may develop colon caner in your age.
Any way, FIRST fix your constipation. If the abdominal pain persists, you need to see your doctor again (In this case, lab tests and sonography are helpful).
Sorry for delay friend, Hope to be healthy in your whole life. if you have any other question, let me know.

Bowel habit is about quality and quantity of bowel movements. Signs of abnormal bowel habit is explain in the video (Constipation, diarrhea and narrow stools are the signs)... and about smelly stools, it's not always due to Melena. In Melena, stool becomes TARRY, STICKY, and SMELLY.

Sorry i just want to know..last weeks i have ct scan eveything my ct scan is ok.but time i get colonoscopy doctor find 1 polyp .i just want to ask my ct scan is ok..but i have 1 polyp.this polyp main is cancer or no

    • @healthmakers...
      @healthmakers...  Před 11 měsíci

First remember that CT scan does NOT show colon polyps (expect some specific types of CT scans generally known as CT Colonography). Second, Only some types of polyps (especially adenomatous types) are premalignant, meaning polyps are not cancer themselves. Third, you are supposed to have a pathologist exam the polyp under microscope to see what kind of polyp you have and whether any cancerous lesion is superimposing on it or not.
