Is the black powder equivalent still corrosive?

While Pyrodex offers improved safety and increased efficiency (in terms of shots per pound of powder) over black powder, the level of fouling is similar as Pyrodex is caustic and corrosive.

I used black powder in cannon and tried pyrodex and found pyrodex to be less powerful and still a mess. Just clean that 500 S&W and it will be fine just don’t put it away dirty.
