That simple round ball does an impressive amount of damage at modest velocity. Enjoyed the vid, thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much, I appreciate that and appreciate u checkin it out!! I was definitely surprised on how well it did and the amount of penetration we were getting, was a fun one for sure. Thanks again!! Plenty on the way😁👍.
More damage than I expected. Pretty cool.
Definitely not a slouch. Good old school demonstration. Still a viable option for some folk. Not terribly practical. But some folk can avail themselves to self defense with these options. Thank you.
Sick af. Nobody mess with G.e. You'll end up like those blocks. Lol. Awesome test, cousins!! I'll see y'all real soon irl.
Great video. I used to shoot a lot of black powder but never saw it gel tested. Enjoyed it.
Wow😮! That’s crazy and such little velocities. I’m so impressed. Imagine 35 grains of 777.
You're getting .38+P performance out of your black powder revolver around 950 fps. there's tests online
With 38 grains of 10+ year old 777 I get 1180 fps (6 shot average) from a 3rd Gen Colt 1860 with .454 143gr RB. And with 220 gr conical (I only had 2 with me in my box of roundballs at the time while having access to a cool guys chronograph at the Wateree range) but they were both 1100 + fps on his LabRadar with the same 38 gr charge. There is room for more if I don't use wads I can get 43 grains in but I think the velocity probably wouldn't change drastically. 38 gr is my standard self defense load and the Colt is my EDC. You rarely see anyone on this platform using 777 so it's good to know what it'll do.
@@codered7453 thanks 🙏 😊. Yeah I love me some triple 7. I wonder how much a chronograph would cost.
@mypetvelociraptor LabRadar chronographs are more expensive, ($450.00+ ) but I will eventually buy a cheaper one or a used one possibly. It's nice to have access to one, but I'm in the process of looking for a house in NC with some property so until I can get somewhere I can shoot unrestricted I just don't need one. I rarely go to the range because it's an hour trip one way. I would like to see more people on CZcams using 777 because that's really where the power is. I'm always a little disappointed to see everyone using Goex or equivalent when velocity testing and then they act disappointed with getting low numbers out of their blackpowder pistols. The full size Colts and Remingtons are capable of very impressive power but not with 3FG real blackpowder. 4FG was what was used in the late 1800s and that was apparently very powerful stuff (Hazards Fine Revolver Powder). When I do finally get a chronograph, I'll be sure to post a video or something to demonstrate what they're really capable of.
@@codered7453 that would be awesome! Yeah, I love me some triple 7 also👏
Thanks for this test! Well done
I ran down a rabbit hole thanks for answering my thought process so I didn't have to do it lol
Any chance of you doing the same test again, but with a conical?
That's awesome. One of the best tests I ever seen. Blackpowder is pretty cool.
Thanks for putting in that work bro. That was awesome! I appreciate ya!
No Thank you bro, I appreciate u letting me borrow ur setup to test. Had a blast making it. Glad u enjoyed it!! Gonna have to get me one now lol. Thanks again!!
I get so much good data from this ghetto channel. Keep up the good work.
Very cool test! It would be ineresting to see a test using conical slugs instead of balls. The penetration would probably be similar, but wound cavity damage may be a bit worse.
Cool test, thanks for posting.
Thank you buddy, I appreciate u checkin it out!!
@@AzAirgunner. Your welcome, I look forward to them.
Thanks for testing it twice bro. That second one did surprise me. Now I gotta get me the snub nose I want so you can test it
Glad to see non-potato C&B test. HOpe to see a 36 and Walker some day.
Badass! Thanks. I'll definitely check out your bro's channels.
Cool test!
I’d love to see these results compared to a conical.
SWEET
Cool!
No paperwork for black powder and thats always nice,
nice
that's a sweet revolver
Very unique test, thanks for that. It surely is powerful. There is nothing dirtier to shoot then a blackpowder revolver. Bet you didn't like cleaning it afterwords.
Any videos using the 45cal Conversion Cylinder in this Remington ???????
👍
A little off topic but based on your channel name I thought you might know.
Is a gas piston air rifle easier to cock than a spring?
Shopping for an air rifle and not very knowledgeable.
Awesome test. I wouldn't want to take one of those round balls. No sir.
Great video bro. I just started a black powder Channel called pewpewpew. Still in its infancy.🇺🇸💨✊
30gr sounds a little low. I bet it could do better. The walkers did 50-60g blackpowder. I would think this could do 40.
Yo Yo!
Wazzz up🤙
@@grampaeasy3106 my pleasure
A nasty sucking chest wound, yes these things killed a lot of men.
you get hit with a ball, yoire not coming back. youre losing whatever got hit, and your gonna bleed like youve never bled before
