      With respect, that is the tRump playbook. He is responsible for billions in this debt...almost 25% of it. This is also how he runs his businesses. A proven fraudster. A one term president has more debt piled up than the previous 12 presidents before him. Think about it. If you look into this- you'll see that the republicans run up the debt and then punish the country for it during democratic presidencies. We need to revoke absurd tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires instead of taking it out of school lunches. This is insane. I agree with you- but if your bank account is negative, isn't the first thing you do is get a job? Taxing those who have it is how the government funds itself. Why taxing is a dirty word for the GOP I'll never know.

      You do realize that that would mean getting rid of social security and medicare, right? Because foreign aid and congress salaries together amount to less than 0.5% of government spending. The salaries of representatives are particularly negligible----there are around a thousand of them, with an average salary of 1 million per each, amounting to 0.001 trillion spending in total. Foreign aid is 0.05 trillion (0.02~0.03 trillion when recouped costs via the taxation of defense sector companies and their employees are taken into account). Meanwhile the deficit sits at around 1 trillion.
      Also don't forget that cutting foreign aid would hurt the economy in the long run. Weak foreign policy induces inflation via disturbances to production lines and shipping lanes as happened in 2022 and 2023 (since world leaders tend to push when they expect easy wins) while reducing defense exports (because all the areas conquered by adversaries would now buy their defense products from Russia, China or Iran) while simultaneously diminishing the power the US dollar globally (because when you give your currency to people, they're incentivized to use it, instead of some other currency that they don't have... not a hard concept to understand, I would imagine). Making US allies weaker also isn't a great long-term policy. I assume I don't have to explain that one.
      Raising age requirements for SS and medicare would meanwhile cover about 25%~50% of the deficit. Tax optimization could do another 25%. Cutting existing benefits would cover the rest. Once debt has been paid off, the government will have an extra 1 trillion per year to spend (since there's no interest to pay off) and some of the cut entitlements can be restored.

    • @jamesrobb4928
      @jamesrobb4928 Před 16 dny

      @@VVayVVard You sound like a politician. Tie domestic spending to foreign spending. The reason social security and medicare are so high is because illegals are suckung those benefits, without EVER paying into the system, and our own politicians forcing fathers out of the home for the mothers to receive continued support. In essence, LBJ had Kennedy killed, and for an additional reason being to "re-enslave" minorities by keeping them dependant on the government, instead of charities.
      Income tax is solely for the purpose of supporting the military industrial complex and line the pockets of politicians and their cronies.
      Social security was a joke since its inception, as the age it was to begin to be collected, exceeded the life expectancy of the average male at that time.
      To ad insult to injury, the social security fund was RAIDED by politicians, for their out of control spending, which is directly tied to lining the pockets of politicians.
      Face it, our government has become a monster and needs to be exposed, reduced, and have it's power heeled, or replaced, to return the servant of the people, not a ruling class of tyranny, it has become.

    We cant keep borrowing money..time to stop sending money overseas.stop foreign aid. Look at every expenditure. Line item veto necessary. Our Gov't has grown bloated. Cuts need to be made.

    • @VVayVVard
      @VVayVVard Před 16 dny

      Cutting foreign aid won't help one bit. Foreign aid is only 0.5% of the overall budget once recouped costs are taken into account. And cutting it will embolden Russia and China to make further encroachments (because of basic human psychology---leaders tend to want easy wins instead of hard wins) which will lead to further inflation. US defense exports would diminish as well, and the position of the US dollar would become weaker globally. Currently foreign aid costs around 50~100 USD per citizen, and even a 5% increase in the costs of all goods (as happened in 2022) would cause all that saved money to evaporate, never mind the loss of export revenue.
      An actual solution to the problem would involve raising the minimum age requirements for social security and medicare by 5 years. This would be enough to cover up to 25%~50% of the deficit, saving around 1000 USD per citizen per year. Tax optimization could cover another 25%. Cutting existing benefits would cover the rest. Once debt has been paid off and there's no need to pay interest anymore (which is already 1 trillion a year) many of the cut entitlements can be reinstated.
      In any case, foreign aid has little effect on the deficit. It could be quintupled and it would still pay itself back. Cutting it would meanwhile almost certainly hurt the economy to some extent. Among all the policies that are popular among people on the right, cutting foreign aid is by far the least intelligent.

You think they will say "fine, you're right we should just eat that $1t." No, that is never going to happen. They will just bump the costs down to you and I. 😂😂😂😂😂

    This back and forth between Rep. Schweikert and Rep. DeLauro over federal funding with Rep. Schweikert falsely stating that we have a [national] "debt" is so very, very disingenuous because Rep. DeLauro does not, nor does anyone else up on Capitol Hill, point out the fact that these "debt $s" are in fact $s that we the people "pretend to borrow" from ourselves through the process of deficit spending and or quantitative easing (QE) or what I more appropriately call the reality of the Equity Spending process.
    Bottom line, both Rep. Schweikert and Rep. DeLauro are liars, or they are both incompetent, as far as both of them failing to point out the fact that all of these federal spending programs are now and forevermore shall be funded by the process of Equity Spending which process does NOT actually create a "national debt".
    With Equity Spending we're talking about the electronic generation of we the peoples' $s in order to meet federal expenditures when there are insufficient funds available from our defunct federal tax revenue system that will never, cannot ever, never be revived. Furthermore, the very crux of the ES reality/process is that even though we the peoples' electronically generated ES, if you will, $s spend exactly the same as we the peoples' forty-hour workweek paycheck $s, it is nonetheless impossible to actually borrow or payback, for that matter, we the peoples' electronically generated ES $s because these ES $s are in fact, we the peoples' electronically generated ES $s, and YES, it is all just that simple, as far as "The Big Picture" is concerned.
    With these facts thus stated even the most simple-minded individual should be able to deduce that we do NOT actually have a national debt, but instead we only have a pretend national debt which, of course, also means that our federal deficit is totally irrelevant, as far as the amount. Exactly what we the peoples' ES $s are being spent on is another matter altogether.
    There is the even greater point, which is that IF... the Dems, at just the right time during the upcoming presidential election, come forward with this Mia culpa relating to our nation having federal funding to - "Infinitum" - to quote Fed Chairman Powell, and without one cent of federal tax revenue being involved due to the reality of the Equity Spending process..., we're talking about the GOP suffering the greatest political defeat in the history of all creation..., Trump or no Trump.
    I can't post the title of my quintessential fictional and non-fictional formatted book, for obvious reasons, which unique book (Revised 2nd Edition) fully illustrates the full spectrum of how and why the reality of the Equity Spending process works, but I can post my full name - Oscar Dean Windham.
