i wasn’t allowed to watch south park as a kid. my parents never watched it so i just forgot about it. i saw south park show up on my tiktok and it soon became a hyperfixation. i finished the show in a month and a half. i think as an adult, i can appreciate it a lot more instead of being freaked out about it being an adult cartoon as a kid

I love seeing younger fans express their love for the show recently. It means people are enjoying and adapting the content in new ways which is good. Its a powerful staple of long form storytelling and understanding of satire-allowing dialogue with new gens and means for an examination of social history with creative expansion upon the characters. That alone allows for closer social connections and creative expression too. Love to see it!!!!
A lot of "young fans" are young in age but have been watching south park, even if in secret, since elementary or middle school. Hell, sleeping at my friends house in 1st grade was my first time watching South Park. I remember which friend's house it was, what episode it was, and I remembered not to tell my parents I had watched that show that young. I didnt see more than an episode here or there for another maybe 6 or 7 years but then had access to all episodes, even banned ones, in late middle school. I had already known about the characters and universe, so I didnt need to learn about anyone or anything while watching the show, or wasnt shocked at whatever direction it would go, as I had watched it go randomly in different directions when I was able to see it here and there as a younger kid. Now as an adult, still the GOAT along with King of the Hill

@@jeremiahfyan Personally, I watched my first episode with my own father as 10.. he basically forced me against my will (I forget what episode, it was an appropriate one I guess..) but as I got older he forced me to watch the all the episodes, including the mature episodes by 6th grade.. and I became obsessed with it 7th-8th grade. Like, all I would talk about type of thing. Its amazing. Best show ever.

I agree season 26 had one banger after another. This was a great season and a return to form!
Only issue is that it’s only got 6 episodes. It’s a shame considering 14 was the standard for most of the show’s existence
My favorite part was the Myrtle Beach part. I live an hour away and Myrtle Beach makes the news all the time. It's currently bike week and it's guaranteed that someone will be killed. Still not the most dangerous city in SC, I live in the most dangerous part, but we still don't fw Myrtle Beach.
With some SP fans saying "the new fans are ruining the show" I cant help but think... more people are discovering and enjoying a show that has survived for such a long time. Why are some people upset at this "new fans" and still complain that their fandom is dying? Im personally happy that SP is gaining attention again. A new generation of teens is discovering a show that is ultimately entertaining.

This is one of the show's golden years in popularity and trends for the show, as it makes it the longest-standing adult cartoon of all. Mad respect to Trey and Matt for going all these obstacles to make this show grow up to all.

The specials on paramount were freakin awesome. Butters locked up in an asylum for selling NFT’s was great.

Matt and Trey might just be the greatest satirical comedians of all time.
The best part is that through all those years Matt and Trey friendship and business relationship has it changed. Usually there are creative differences for money issues when it comes to the business side but these two have realized what they are good at. For Trey it is the creative side of South Park, which he does most of the writing. For Matt it is the business side and pitching in the writing and creative process with Trey.
It's absolutely amazing how shows like South Park and Family Guy were suddenly risen from the dead just thanks to social media

I think that with the Andrew Tate character, they were just trying to get his foot in the door while he was still relevant so that they could build off of that in a future episode. I don’t think the character will be a significant celebrity, but I think they’ll do more with his character later
Andrew and Tristan both really appreciated it, so I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing for his character. It’s probably funnier when the celebrity gets offended
IMO, they shouldn't have included him at all in this episode. He's the kind of person who thrives on other people's attention (doesn't matter if it's positive or negative)

i've been surrounded by south park basically my entire life as my dad has been watching it since i was little and usually would just leave it playing while he slept or went to work for me to find at some point so i've accidentally seen like half the show without even realizing, but it was only recently in its new height that i realized how much i actually love this show.

i used to have a tv in my room and would sneak to watch south park as a kid but my parents would always catch me, now as an adult i have started watching south park and im really glad i waited because i really enjoy it. im on season 10 right now, and i know its been a while since it was made but i’m always surprised how relevant the topics they tackle are. i love south park and it deserves this longevity!
One time my girlfriend of 7 years had to fly across the country for a family emergency. I ate cereal out of the same bowl the whole time. God I’ve never related to Randy so much. When he breaks down and calls Sharon I cried. I know what that’s like. To be missing someone who so literally completes you. They hold you accountable to yourself, and remind you why you want to be a good person. But without them? Why try at all…

It's kind of crazy that we're on season 26, and Matt and Trey can STILL come out with a straight banger season. At this point with this many good seasons, it's time to start considering it the GOAT show given it's unmatched longevity while remaining good.

My friend finally decided to give the show a watch, both after me showing it to her and the tiktok clips, and she’s loving it. It’s really refreshing to see people enjoy the show again and for it to gain a modern younger audience after such a long time. Great to see how people seem to love the show more while other long running shows have been getting dissed for years (valid or not.) can’t wait for this to continue and see what’s next.

Not gonna lie, tiktok also got me into south park. I decided to check it out a few months ago and ended up absolutely loving the show. Even though some people get pissy about all the new gen z fans, that’s just how life is. Either the new generation picks something up or it gets lost to time. I’m really glad south park is something I’ve gotten to experience in my life.

I think the most important reason why South Park became famous lately is because it looks like a trashy show at first glance, only after you sit through 15-30 seconds of good South Park clip you'll understand that animation has nothing to do with quality for this show. At least that's how I became a fan in mid 2023, and after that I've binge watched every episode. So short clips did wonders in making South Park famous.

It’s really sad how South Park lost its popularity in the last few years but season 26 was so good it really felt like old South Park. But even tho this season was amazing, the first seasons will always be the best South Park age and you can’t convince me otherwise.
I've honestly never thought they were falling off. I believe it was how they were on Trump's neck is what made ppl criticize them saying they were getting too political and "woke" because they were trashing someone they love so much. That and them easing up on all the poop and gross out humor and started doing more with randy. I will say they could have done a little more with the kids but there are so many funny characters that it was cool to see them play around with the adults more

This season was 🔥. I loved every episode which hasn't happened since season 21 lol. The Worldwide Privacy Tour is probably my favorite because Meghan and Harry are literally EVERYWHERE and I can’t run away from it even if I try. I've never related to Kyle as much as I did watching that episode.
