I've been to two Generals games and both were exciting and fun. I think we are getting better and Will make the playoffs. We have talent , so far are injury free and motivated. This is our year.

I remember going to a globetrotters game when I was younger, and the game was actually getting a little physical. I guess the generals are allowed to score, just not allowed to defend. So on offense there were a few generals players shouldering Globetrotter players and trash talking a little

in fairness they're a partially real basketball team. They play Lakers defense, meaning none, but their offense is most non-scripted and they're pretty efficient at times

I can't tell whether this is suppose to be a serious analysis or not.
The job of the Washington Generals is to entertain children by losing and allowing the Globetrotters to perform tricks. They're actually very talented players and in real games be a competitive team.
Right, the idea is the Trotters are supposed to win. That's the damn act.
It's called kayfabe. Everyone knows the Generals are losing on purpose, but it's more fun to pretend they're actually competing.
It's a good thing I'm not the owner of the Washington Generals, not just would I load the roster with guys like Draymond Green, Joel Embiid, Grayson Allen, Boogie Cousins, Zaza Pachulia etc., but I also would hire a Bobby Knight type coach too!
Also, I would relocate this team to Baltimore and rename them the Bullets (after acquiring the name from the Wizards) since Washington doesn't need two teams, and Baltimore deserves another team.
Let's see how many "scripted" moments the Globetrotters will do in order to keep the "streak" alive knowing full well that my guys will be showing no mercy!

It isn’t even comparable. The Washington Generals isn’t trying to win. They are trying to have a nice time playing second fiddle to the globetrotters. It is like playing unranked.

I think the Generals and Globetrotters should play in an actual competitive game with no acting. It would be more entertaining IMO. I still think the Globies would win because their players are skilled, but because in that game the Generals would actually try it would be close. The Generals, even playing in actual games, could suck, because none of their players have basketball talent, including Lavar Ball and Connor McGregor. I know they have ex-NBA talent running their team (well the Globies run them and give them their owners), because their coach played a couple seasons in the league and their GM is Kenny “The Jet” Smith, but they would still suck. I would think Kenny would make the decisions on who plays for them and then the Globies approve it. But no matter what he does, the Generals will forever be the worst team ever.
At least DC United won a few MLS cup in their first few years.

On God the numbers aren't true. I saw the Generals beat the Globetrotters in the early 80's in Buffalo. It was so unbelievable that to this day I'm still arguing with myself that it actually happened SOLELY because it's not recognized or publicized so they want me to to think I didn't see them lose when it really happened.
For reference, my dad took us EVERY year to see them. It was routine so that's how I KNOW I SAW THEM LOSE because as a probably 9 year old it was a HOLY SHIT dad Superman is dead moment.

I am a fan of the generals
the generals are en exhibition team. calling them the worst isn't really fair since the games between they and the globetrotters are all scripted.
That being said, I think that the games would be more entertaining if the Generals won more. they play basketball in 'normal' fashion while the globetrotter play in a more flashy style.
show that 'normal' basketball can win! inspire kids to brush up on their fundamentals with the game. use the generals to make more money for both themselves and the Globetrotters. if they're going to script these games, they should get some longevity from it
