- The Earl and Countess of Wessex have viewed tributes left by the public and national leaders in memory of the Duke of Edinburgh.
Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, were joined by their daughter Lady Louise Windsor to look at flowers and wreaths outside St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Friday afternoon.

I’m consistently impressed by Edward, Sophie and the way they have served the Royal Family...as well as raised their children.
I remember meeting Princ Edward in Bagshot park. We both said hi as we both walked our dogs. … They seem like such a lovely family. I like that they are staying out of the limelight and drama. Sophie looks beautiful.

I understand some here seem to become indignant and scornful when a certain other ex-royal gets attention for doing the same thing. I actually care about and follow the work our royals do and not just trying to find ways to throw dirt on Harry's wife, just because she turned out to be popular with young people. It's all good and should not have be seen as some threat or competition.

Lady Louise is lovely here--but with parents like these, to be expected.
Looks like her parents are the only ones in the royal family who have emulated the queen in regards to keeping it together so to speak.

This family's nobility is self evident, even had they no titles. They were the Queen's last hope, and they didn't let her down. Loyalty and fidelity to each other, and to their obligations, reserved, raising their children out of the public gaze, for their sake. Another not so noble couple should take their example. Edward and Sophie are more than adequate to take on the responsibilities they abdicated. I hope Harry doesn't expect a return to the privileges, they considered to be hardships, when he realizes he's betrayed his own family for one so undeserving.
