I was lucky enough to hear her sing the role in London in the late 1980s. It was one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard, and SO musical.

A Hogbin do you mind me asking about the size of her voice??? Some people say that she’s a lyric soprano but sang the spinto rep. I disagree, she sounds like a true spinto to me 🤷🏾‍♂️

Will never forget how her recording of the whole opera amazed me. This one version is just a display of her artistry and excellence, those silent instants before applause emerged tell what can't be written.
Je n'oublie pas l'impact qu'a eu dans mon amour pour le chant et en particulier pour M. P. son enregistrement de cet opéra en entier. Cette version-ci, live, en dit suffisamment long. On n'a qu'à déguster les longs instants de silence du public à la fin avant l'éclosion d'applaudissements de circonstance.
