Dineva this is me! I studied those who came before me. I started modeling/acting and making dinner cute coins! I watched my peers spend like crazy and laugh at me for being the frugal friend.
Fast forward to 2023. The industry is in chaos. Actors strike. Brands not paying like that anymore cuz they broke too. Meanwhile I have still been able to live off of past modeling money while building my podcast.

He wasn't drafted until after the televised draft, and his overseas contract was more than the NBA contract that was waived. He has played overseas since, which was about 7 years ago. He is a Rockstar all over the world and has played in so many countries since. He lives an elite lifestyle.

I disagree with this. Maybe you didn’t know anybody that bought pastries but when I was in elementary/middle school they were everywhere. In magazines, on the runway, my friends and I all had pastries. They weren’t the most successful shoe brand but they did well, I also remember commercials and celebrities endorsing them. I’m not sure if the pastry brand is alive now or how they make money off of it now, but I know that the brand did well. She’s also the daughter of a well connected hip hop artists along with being a social media influencer who gets paid a good chunk of cash to promote things on social media.

Starting a network vs taking one over is completely different. You have to build that network, get and maintain ads for sponsorship, bring shows to the network that are profitable, etc. Remember OWN was 90% Dr Phil for the first year or two? And I agree, BET was never going to sell, which is sad because they are BORING. I rock with BET+ Sistas is my jam, Average Joe was hella good! The production, script, actors..babybee! First Wives Club keeps me laughing. The Porter and Kingdom Business were as good as any other streaming drama show.

I think social media plays a big part on lots of things for people. I think it does leave you with a false sense of reality for people that may not be as strong minded. Social media can have you believing you’re missing out, you’re not good enough, rich enough, skinny/thick enough, you need to start a business to make it, you’re not pretty or tall enough and more. People rarely come on social media showing the struggle or what they actually did to “make it”. I do believe British was scamming before she had even made it on the show and she just used her platform to scam even more. I remember when she was selling things and wasn’t sending them out. 4 years isn’t very much considering I think she was looking at football numbers.
