What's your favorite Allen Iverson moment?
📺: sprtspod.fox/Iggy
When he stepped over coach Lue! That moment basically describes AI. 😂
That putback dunk on the Raptors 😬😬😬😬
When he tore the LAKERS up in game 1 of the finals😎
When he crossed Antonio Daniels
The 2001 season
I trained at IMPACT academy and saw RIP Hamilton and after talking to him he was so chill. We even sat down and watched Monday night football together. Real humble dude
people think there's only one way to be a leader. This man instilled confidence in his guys
RIP Hamilton the mid range assassin. He was a beast using screens and getting himself open. Was always moving with out the ball
He would do so well on the warriors today
His corner 3 was crazy too let’s not forget
@@KEN_313 yeah you’re right. He developed that later in his career his bread and butter was the mid range tho
So curry kinda got his game from him and Ray basically
@@nyghtryder3446 also Reggie Miller I’d say. They all were great moving getting off ball screens. I’m sure he’s watched tape of them for years
Kyle korver says the exact same things about Iverson and the time they spent together in Philly. He said AI was huge for building his confidence and making him feel like he belonged in the league as a young player. He’s top 5 all time in 3pt makes right now, played 17 yrs in the league and made and all star game. I’m sure that’s not a coincidence
Definitely not, Korner never was a scrub and was an All-American in college. Iverson was just snapping them out of fan mode so they could do what they were brought on the team to do.
Us Geminis always giving knowledge and giving people the heads up before it go down it's on you to listen or ignore cool with me 🤷!
Ai gave me a ton of confidence and I never met him, watched him since Georgetown and knew he had a special gift, he's a huge influence to many kids just like me who grew up watching him, huge
Here Before TK Kirkland
Congrats I know it was tough
😂
I beat that clown too
Lies. He saw this but chose not to comment.
Talk about goals
Andre is one of the smartest players ever and an intellectual. Great interview. When he was speaking on both players towards the end, you can tell he was actually paraphrasing conversations that he had with both
Man Antawn Jamison was so good in his prime, growing up a Warriors fan he was the reason you went to see the games, we sucked back then but Antawn always put on a show, I lived like 10 mins away from the Arena in Oakland you could hear the energy in that place when the team stepped on the court, it was exciting getting to watch that man play live. That 02 team with Jamison, Arenas, and Richardson was a highlight reel
He a bum
@@RicardoGonzalez-ew3iw L
Facts!!!
Now imagine that team with Vince Carter instead of trading him to the Raptors for Jamison.
@Family Business that would not have made much of a difference. That team was a mess and the organization couldn't find the right coach. That trade honestly just allowed Vince to have a better career in the long run. He wouldn't have become the superstar that he did if he wasn't in Toronto. He literally saved that franchise and became the face of Canadian basketball. In Oakland on the other hand he would've just scored a lot and lost a lot. Vince is my favorite player of all time, I'm happy he ended up where he did
They will turn on you...he wasn't lying
Westbrook: Hold my beer!
As someone who was there, he was not giving his all. He was playing lazy and had an attitude with his team because he didn't want to be there. He turned on everyone first.
Allen Iverson the greatest to ever do it.
No he’s not. Wtf?
The greatest to do what?
Pound for pound…yes!
Practice?
@@raymondsims7042 Best little guy. Give him Shaq in his prime and he would've won more than Kobe.
KD would’ve asked for a trade if A.I punched him in the chest
Ignorant.
So would Kyrie
@@davidtaylor1164 Kyrie would've blamed the punch on the Jews.
🤡
@@smellywaffels1967 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Allen Iverson was a 5'11 guard that was supremely athletic and tougher than any guard over 6'0 that ever played professional basketball besides Michael Jordan!
Because he played football
Awesome interview
He tried to wrap him up with the practice question. But props to Iggy lol
That was a classy move by AI. Shannon tried to bait him with that question and have Andre throw Iverson under the bus.
Great response!
@@jacobandjune Yep. Sometimes they try to get him to praise Steph and diss Iverson but Iggy only got to play 1 season with AI.
Great backdrop Shay Shay!
Can’t front Rip Ham was nice tho🔥
Always like iggy. He was a guy I always wanted on Celtics, and he became a great roll player for the warriors
Iggy was a good basketball player 🏀 Comfortable with being a role player as long as "WE" get a championship 🏆
I seen Rip Play At the arena Crowd was booin him he was still making free throws That was phenomenal To me as a Youngin 😂 Dope Moments 🏀
Rip wasn't gonna miss a free-throw bro, u remember his sequence? Lol
@@udokee7409 Rip had like the smoothest free throw routine to😂💪🏾 Nba was lit in them early 2000’s
@Udokee dribble on each side & breath if I recall lol
@@lifeonmars03 Lol, bro was a specialist
Another great A.I. story 💪🏿💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
who else read the title of the video and thought it was a punch to the face?
SMH
Ended up being a vigorous pat on the chest, clickbait. 😄😄
Yup
I read the description box below before watching the vid
@@mirdagoat8659 no
Whenever I hear the name I think of the best rebuttle in battle rap history
"...because I am Rip Hamilton, you know I'm the shooter as soon as I mask up!"
Crowd went crazy
Big Kannon!
One of my favorite rebuttals ever!!
RIP is a legend for sure
well spoken.
Yes we know the original AI, Shannon 😆
Couldn’t imagine lying to Andre by telling him he’s better than Rip Hamilton. 💀
Imagine letting your teammate D ride his matchup 😂 respect the finals MVP playa
He's not a better scorer/shot maker, but Iggy's the better overall player.
Worthy debate
Iggy was a 6’6 long wing with crazy athleticism and scoring potential i woulda said the same thing if that’s my young nigha🤷🏿♂️
That part..... because that was definitely not true 🤣
one interesting about RIP when i first saw him on Detroit was he would create a screen for himself, he would just run right through their bigs so his defender would get caught, one of the smoothest NBA players, he would just run around to the other side and on to the next side. he kinda like Riggy and Klay but midrange.
that’s dope about curry and iverson never change
Shouldn’t of been fanned out lol but RIP was hella nice!
This video title is a little misleading
Heavy.
Where we do sumn before 2sumn
Subbed
I love that he put respect on AI name
When A I stepped over lue
Right!
Right!
Right!
Right!
See Iverson was real I saw in an interview with Someone else, Iverson said he told LeBron James the same thing. "Enjoy the media now because later they will turn on you", that's how real Allen was to tell younger players that.
Cross over step back on Coach Lue
I always laugh at that because that's how lebron got draymond suspended
When he compared them he was trying to make them seem similar but are literally nothing alike lmao
Rip will always be my favorite player. I even have a song I made inspired by him on my page “Hol Dat”.
He kind sounded like AI lol
They gave that LAB some turtle!
What it do Unc 💪🏾
You broke my heart with this Click bait unc
Thank god we had real people old school ! Wish the world was still this way! I don’t want to hear about anyone now better than anyone from back then
WE TALKIN ABOUT PRACTICE….NOT A GAME…PRACTICE 🤣🤣🤣
I met Rip on south street at the jewelry store
That LAB Luv Puddin'... yup! That's the answer.
A.I -. THEEEEEEEE BEST! 😊👍💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Dunking on Scottie with 2 hands, self alley on Kobe
Iggy wit it… 🙏🏽
Somebody please remind me of Andre's nickname when he played with the 76ers. I can't remember it for the life of me.
Iggy & flight 9
That AI impression was on point 😂
Ironically, Klay Thompson is the player that reminds me the most of Rip. Just look at their free throw routine, and the off ball movement and ability to score without taking a lot of dribbles. Rip just did it at the midrange, Klay does it at the 3P line!
Good comparison never thought about
RIP Hamilton was a dawg when he was playing so I can’t blame Iggy. Plus that mask was lowkey legendary
RIP was the man
Rip was that guy fr. Everybody liked rip
Hmm is Andre still playing? I thought he retired 🤔
He was NOT supposed to be A.I. 2.0 they drafted him to be a solid role player that was athletic and played great defense wtf is Shannon talking about🤦🏾♂️
💯💪🏾
AI keeping it real with his childhood friends is what made him blow all his earnings from so many years of play
Wtf does Shannon say at the end, and what does it mean. I feel like I can hear the words, but my brain is confused. Thanks in advance
AI did the same thing for bron at the all star game, warning him about how they’ll turn on him. I’m sure you’ve all seen the clip
Nah is there a link to it ?
He actually said it on Stephen A Smiths's old show " Quite Frankly."
Clickbait, title gives the wrong narrative
Players nowadays don’t draw you as much as back in the day.
Lebron, KD, Embiid, Westbrook, Gionis, Steph and many, many more say you're wrong gramps. Don't need those out of shape old and slow players of the past anymore.
@@smellywaffels1967 you tried it lol
Iggy is a legend
Rip mid range game and free throws was automatic
Peak Andre vs Peak Rip? Not so sure Andre wins that one, really depends on the system. Andre wouldn't have fit as well in that '04 Pistons squad
1 year Denver nugget igoudala . Better than any version of rip Hamilton .
I have a problem with the title of this video .
AI was Gangsta 🙊
Jordan punched Kerr for less lmao
shoot they turn on players instantly now
Hall of Famer... The hard way😂😂😂
My fav from Iverson in my opinion was when he put Kobe to bed during the game by outplaying him on all levels when he played the Lakers in the 2001 NBA finals oooh my…
Cap Fr you talking crazy now 🤡
@@SherwoodSavage225BR you captioned me lol…. That’s my opinion can a woman have one ( smile)…. You and I both know Iverson outscored Kobe in that final….
@@ClassicOpinion more points doesn’t mean better overall performance
@@SherwoodSavage225BR wasn’t just the points for me it was his grit his drive his focus his creativity at his position during the game…
@@ClassicOpinion more college 😉
Clickbait I thought A.I. Hooked off on A.I. 😂😂😂😂
S/O to Chuck!
Bubba Chuck
AI was barely better than RIP. RIP is reggie Miller of his time. I saw RIP in highschool catching ally oops under the leg east bay windmilling. And he had handle almost like kyrie back in the 90s. Look up his highschool games. I saw when he played Kobe in philly as a kid and RIP was dunking and dribbling better than Kobe. It's crazy how he changed his game. I hope somebody ask him. I saw him at a tournament in Delaware outdoors. A housing authority (project street kid) basketball even. He didnt play but he warmed up with his team and put on a dunk show.
Iggy one of da greatest role players ever
Iggy your not better than RIP but AI a good teammate
SOME OF THE BEST LOBS DUNKS YOU'LL EVER SEE WAS IVERSON LOBBING IT TO ANDREW IN THE SIXERS GAMES...CRAZY HIGHLIGHTS 💯
Click bait 🤦♂️
Iguodala IS known to be a major league d-rider. Just like he does wit Curry now 🤦🏾♂️
Some Eyes Wide Shut furniture....
Punched???🤔
Click bait but good story
Ai and Steph ain’t nothing alike but wat he said …AI a great Sg and Top 5 and they other a shooting scoring Legend …Curry not even a pure point guard like Chris.Ppl forget Andre Igoudala was supposed to the new AI and he was Captain and star,Franchise player before he became a Warriors who won hers first Final MVP 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Honestly, I don’t know if Andre was better than rip
That was lame was Shannon said about practice
Iggy ended up doing ok with golden state. I don’t think the young fans realize how good iggy was supposed to be. Basically like lebron.
He was big, fast, could take it to the whole, was a good distributor. He could of been one of the best in the league. Obviously people think of his defense but he was good offensively too.
Clickbait?
click bait...
Better then rip ? Right ..🙄
Punching anyone in sports? Lame
CLICKBAIT
That's cool, good on Iverson for gi ing confidence. Igudola was never as good as RIP though. 👍
That’s why AI and others run out of money, and have to do car repair commercials. Charles Barkley told his family and friends keep your day job.
Click bait
this is semi click bait
Only problem was he isn’t and was never better then rip ham 😂
4 of em
@@Stikob put rip on those gsw teams and they might have had 5. Plus Andre was only really valuable for 2 of the championships.
@@Stikob and a finals mvp. He good.
Lies. Rip was no where close to iggy as a defender and playmaker. I like rip but let’s not rewrite history.
he kinda was. definitely longer career and much more success
I disagree. Mr Yessir himself was better the Iggy. IMO and yes I'm bias.. DEEEEEEETROIT BASKETBAAAAL!! YESSIRR!!!
