My impression is that Messi can handle 4 defenders on average. The epic goal against Getafe involves 5 defenders, only 1 more than the average level. It is epic because these 5 defenders happen to spread across half field, making Messi's goal look so magnificent. In other words, if defenders are not so spatially concentrated (as in other cases), the epic goal against Getafe can be repeated many times by Messi.
what drives me crazy is he runs WITH the ball faster than the defenders who can't catch up once they lose him
Talha Rifaai It’s not necessarily him being too quick for them in terms of speed. It’s his acceleration. Two players can’t tackle him at the same time and Messi takes advantage of this fact, as soon as one gets close he activates his speed. That’s why he’s so effective!

I have no words. Messi is a phenomenon, that’s all there is to it. You see what he does with your own eyes, and you still can’t believe it. I would like to see an interview with other players who have come up against him and hear what they have to say. It reminds me of trying to run and catch a mouse. There is good players like cristiano, Pelé, Ronaldhino, so many but, Messi is all the way in the top standing up alone.
This is not something you can’t get by training, no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, you’ll never get to that level look at Cristiano, excellent, great, but, he is not of Messi’s quality. Messi is the soccer king. Nobody can dispute that title, no man “or woman” have that level of skills. He is just beyond imagination. Look at those moments where he is at full speed doing unthinkable movements “for a normal brain”, look at his control of gravitational point. Its to many things compiled all together to make the KING MESSI.
I still don't get how he does any of this. The calculations that goes into this man's brain per millisecond is insane.
