UPDATE: So I am A Dum Dum... I don't know why i had missed Firmware Update 4.0, so in reality the upcoming update in the fall will most likely be update 5.0 not 4.0....
Why The Sony FX3 is STILL The BEST Camera in 2024!
While some may still argue on whether the Sony FX3 is considered a True Cinema Camera or not, even considering The FX3 Firmware Updates V.2.00 & V.3.00 as well as Netflix even approving The Sony FX3 as one of their cameras that can be used by their productions. That only happened after some additional features were added such as timecode support and Cine EI. In this video i go over all of the updates and news all in one place, mainly to help someone who does not own a Sony FX3 and might be considering buying one in 2024, I feel that The Sony FX3 is STILL the BEST camera in 2024 because of everything it has under the hood; and there are still FX3 Firmware updates to come such as Firmware Update V.4.00 later this fall. We know there will never be internal ND's in this camera, but until now we never thought wed get shutter angle either! But is the time coming when we will get a Fully Maxed out FX3 Mk. 2 right out the gate with all the additional features, i can let it slide without internal ND's because we do have filters, and i love the small form factor!

After 3 years The Sony FX3 is still my Favorite Camera!! And its only getting better, What are your thoughts on where it started to where it is now?

My girlfriend and I both use a7iv for shooting live music sessions with controlled lighting. Thinking about adding a 3rd camera and I’m going back and forth on another a7iv or an fx3. Do you have any thoughts or opinions?

That’s a great setup for shooting live and honestly if it’s a third cam with controlled lighting and mostly talking, I would say another A7IV honestly.. the main separation between is dual iso low light settings and 4k shooting modes, both of which you probably dont need for talking heads.. I would go with another A7IV over an fx3 unless you plan on using it to also shoot content outside and lower light scenarios the fx3 would work

The fact that “The Creator” was shot on the FX3 camera body only tells us - one - thing: under optimal light and lense equipment… the sensor and processor can pruduce sufficient bitage to create a Feature Length film… but isn’t they enuff for a $4K camera body? It’s enuff for me! It just means that I can rely on this camera body and spend $$$ on building around it! And that ‘fan’ is what makes this useable for a serous shoot (as my A1 keeps overheating 🥵 and needs a “time-out” every 20 minutes!)
Everything is else is ‘nice’ but this is all the camera body we need to shoot serious stuff!

Hi , nice information, I am doing video on A7Cii with 2470 gmii, want to get fx3 for standalone video purposes, will it really make difference in comparison with A7Cii ?
