Haha! I have them both but I can’t lie, the weight is DRAMATICALLY different 😂
Not gonna lie I kinda miss the 24-70 especially after I got an ezrig which takes all the weight off the rig. For that purpose I may want to get it back or just finally try a Sony GM@@mariodevon_

Don't care for matte box? I also like a top handle even if I'm not using the XLR top handle. Then I mount the monitor on the top handle. Theres one with a record button that I like to use.
Love matte boxes on bigger setups! And I keep a top handle literally in my camera bag at all times just in case lol
I have a similar set up, but I changed the top handle to a small rig one with the record button built in and I use a Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8lens since I sold my 24-70 sigma and 70-180 tamron... honestly this rig is probably gonna do just fine for another 2-3 years... until I would invest in to like a FX6 mark II. :)

@@mariodevon_ yep I'm sure you will... yes its a little heavier (1165g) than the sigma 24-70 (835g) but there is no event you wouldn't be able to shoot with this. Tamron has a firmware update too so the AF tracking got even better and its parfocal, at least mine is... Don't lose focus zooming in and out from 35 to 150.
