I’d love to see Stranded or Backbone
Silvera would be a dream come true
@@zfin87 Just about anything works... Stranded, Silvera, Backbone, Toxic Garbage Island, Shooting Star... I'm not too keen on Flying Whales though because it already gets a lot of exposure, something more uncommon would be fun
@@geekymetalhead5112 Yeah exactly
Next riff would be from one of your own songs.
Which one though? :)
@@peteplaysmusic dont make me do this. Dont make me choose. Please.
P.S. i would love to hear mudd coz its catchy as hell
@@peteplaysmusic Kinetic :D
@@eNVy1294 Yes! Kinetic is pretty much the channel's theme song to me, it would be perfect
Olympus mons please
the queen one sounds like something that should be part of Rock You Like A Hurricane .
The Linkin Park one was definitely a mix of both their Nu-Metal (Hybrid Theory, Meteora) and their Alt Rock (Minutes to Midnight and more) styles, awesome!
I don't know, it sounded very much like the numb chorus to me. I'm mainly a drummer though, so don't know all their house parts exactly.
For the next one i suggest :
*Metallica - Sad But True !*
Noah Boucard then do Avenged and just play This Means War
dlofnep27 I was literally going to write this exact comment
I would love to hear that in the style of Alter Of Bones
@@dlofnep27 I see I'm not the only person that noticed that 😂😂
1 riff 20 bands - 96 Quite Bitter Beings
A classic man!
Hell yeah CKY
*nolly intensifies*
Oooffft what a riff
CKY! I have pictures of their drummer moonwalking at my grandfather's 60th birthday party in the 90's!
Not gonna lie had a proper fan boy moment when I saw my name pop up for the Feared style! Awesome video as always Pete!
Thanks for the suggestion! :)
Ola would be proud #teamcart
great suggestion man. feared rips!
Slayerformayor1983 feared are awesome!
Anthony Green #teamcart 🤘🤘🤘
Haha, the Nile one was so spot on I laughed!

1 Riff, 20 Bands
Plug in baby
Bobna Von Victorsteyn this!
Queen sounded more like scorpions than queen
Yeah
Maybe just a little bit, but definitive Brian May guitar harmonies are totally there.
I was looking for this! Hell yeah... sounded a lot "rock you like a hurricane". Awesome, nonetheless!
Skindred, Feared, and Nails versions all in one video? Pete, you spoil me
Love that you featured Nile, I love those guys. Crazy musicians, with an awesome, unique sound. Great video by the way, all of these were spot on! 🤘👊
Super Like, Dude!
That Van Halen one was insane! I love the 'frame' style (using the original at the beginning as well as at the end), that somehow gave me goosebumps.
Linkin Park was just exactly on point! Reel big fish was fun.
Overall really interesting video!
Stairway to Heaven by Infant Annihilator.
P.S.: I'm not trying to ruin ur whole career. Just speaking blasphemy. 😈
@@zmby6785 Bro 👊🐰
Dimos of House Metal brofist? Omg
@@funnyperson4027 Bro 👊🤬
Dimos of House Metal bro why tho
Queen’s version sound like a collab between them and The Scorpions.
Full megadeth version is a must
Edit: Actually, maybe a Van Halen, or Fleetwood Mac.
Dragonforce is a must

Dude. I literally just had the same idea. Great minds think i guess
Do Evanescence!

Ola Englund's version needs more CHUG :D
ooh, that Van Halen and Megadeth were perfect!
Lel now he is ded
always enjoy watching you play, a true artist. keep up the good work bro. doesn't matter what riff you pick, you'll smash whatever it is..
That Van Halen riff was AMAZING!!!!!
The Fleetwood Mac version just sounds like “The Chain”
Thought the same thing
I think that was basically the point. 😂
Thanks for this video, I really like it when you do this style of video.
Is it strange that I am discovering new bands to listen to through videos like this? 🤔
Finally! Make this videos more often, i love them. And the next one should be an iron maiden song!
That Megadeth and Dragon Force versions were perfect
Ура, наконец-то!! Давно ждала подобных видосов
Wasn't expecting Converge in this video, totally loved it 💜💜💜 you rule dude
I found it funny I was singing the riff in my head a few seconds before I see your upload. I don't even remember the song name 😂
Thank you for including Twelve Foot Ninja. Massively underrated band
FEARED!!! That was super awesome!
this is so great! Seen these done by others and you are just spot on
10 Second Songs? He’s the inspiration behind this series. Thanks for watching! :)
Nice, but Queen style needs more treble and guitar harmonies. Treble booster is very important part of Brian May's tone. And using coin as pick really helps too.
I definitely agree.😼 If this dude can get his hands on a Six Pence, that'd be even more epic!😁 Funny enough, I didn't really know why Brian uses a Six Pence until CZcams finally recommended a video to me where he explains why.😅 CZcams knows I've been watching a s**t ton of Queen vids yet it doesn't recommend something like this to me until a few days ago.🤦😅 But, yeah. Using a coin as a pick would definitely be helpful.😼 I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've sat down with my electric violin hooked up to the amp, played the BoRhap guitar solo, with and without the bow, picked at the strings with the Six Pence on my necklace, and started grinning like an idiot because of the sound when I used the Six Pence.😌😁 I feel like such a goofball when I do, tbh, 'cause then I start thinking, "Is this even good for my violin strings, considering how they're thinner than guitar strings? Should I actually be doing this? Oh, well. No broken strings, yet. Might as well continue."
Am I babbling?😅 I tend to do that a lot, even in text form.😅 Sorry.😅😅😅
Toxic Garbage Island or Explosia by Gojira would be very interesting to use for one of these videos.
also, the Twelve Foot Ninja part was spot on and I loved it.
Or flying whales
Amazing Pete..what a work brother ..congrats
I really like this series of videos!
NAILED the Megadeth version! Loved the Fleetwood Mac "The Chain", as well.
1 riff 20 bands - Sons of winter and stars
Oh shit HECK YES!
Wintersun!!
Pete, I use your videos purely to listen to your music and to find new bands to listen to. Thank you for doing what you do.
Having a many different note on u're every riff, it's so completely from u're mixing set and guitar tune and u're equipment, excellent!!! 👏🎸
Your best one yet, Pete. VH, 12FN, and Fleetwood Mac we’re particularly spot on!
Yeah, they were all great, but the Fleetwood Mac version sounded perfect! A mixture of Seven Nation Army and The Chain. :D
Wow! The Van Halen one is actually pretty accurate!
Love this vid!!
Finally, yes! My fave content you make! Just pure entertainment
Thanks for watching! :)
im in love with Satyricon and Feared versions, great job as always!
I expected Stevie T to come in with his triangle for the DragonForce one! 😂👌🏻 Also, you should do 'Sweet Child O Mine' next...
What Pete cottrell showing wishbone ash some love 😢🤟🏼
Didn't expect the MCR one! I'm so glad you included some bands you've never included yet.
Your talents in both sound, technique and knowledge is astonishing. Truly.
Woy, I built the sky)) awesome
🌤☺️🌤
I needed to hear the Linkin Park's version, because I couldn't imagine how it would sound like. Nice!
Great video man, and keep doing these.
Feared! Way to go, Pete!
Haha, the Satyricon one sounds a lot like "Fuel for Hatred"!
Also; hooray for Reel Big Fish.
This series just keep getting better Pete. Thumbs up for including Nile and Converge. You should try Terrorizer next time! \m/
Thanks bro for the hold bend with a pinch harmonic in it at 4:54, I've started using these a lot and it adds a lot of flavor!
Great job! One of my favorite songs.

Pete! This is sick man!
You rock, Pete. Never stop!
Thumbs up for Twelve Foot Ninja. 👍🏻
Yeah, I love bossadjentdisconova
Then you would love vitalism
I got clickbaited by Brian May in the thumbnail 😂😂but great video
Same!😁 Lmao. As soon as I saw the rockin' space-poodle, I clicked!🤣 And, that is an early 2000's pic of him, too!😁 You can kinda see that his hair was just barely starting to go grey(where it's a slightly lighter shade of brown in some parts is where you'll see) in that pic.😅
This series is genuinely my favorite content on CZcams.
These are so accurate to how these bands would actually sound playing it! You are so talented!
Please do Du Hast by Rammstein! :D
Might get blocked immediately lol
Suggestions of bands versions for your next 20 :
Lord of the Lost
Lacuna Coil
Breaking Benjamin
Motionless In White
Loved it!
My 2nd favorite part of these vids are learning about bands I don't know. First is hearing your awesome music talent! Thanks Pete!!
Please do something in the style of Bathory. I think band that is one of the pioneers of black metal deserves some recognition...

Amazing series. So much.
Something with TOOL
Can you imagine 4/4 Hero Of The Day by Metallica with a 7/4 Tool version?
You should do down with the sickness in the style of 20 bands. That be badass! Luv your vids dude

What no Status Quo?? Awesome twelve foot ninja sir
Such a nice riff. Sounds good even played so many times.
The only time my ear didn't pick it up was on the VH one. Then again, I was taken by the harmonics slide you did. I was mesmerized by that. Great video!
