Quick Metal Tones - Peavey 6505 MH Lead Channel - Septic Flesh - DNA

From our previous Episode of Votan's "What's in the Box!?", here's the Peavey 6505 MH!
We have an LTD Deluxe EC-1000 with EMG 81/85 going directly into the amp, into a Crate Blue Voodoo 4x12 with original Crate/Eminence speakers, and being mic'd with a single 57, dead center of the cone.
Single track per side and solo up the center.

I use an Orange 1x 12 cab and the Peavey MH sounds so ordinary. I can’t determine if it’s the amp or the cab.

It’s probably the cab. We’re probably going to end up redoing our tone videos for two reasons; we’ve realized people don’t like tone videos using a speaker besides the V30, and we were trying to get a similar tone to the original for each song we used for our tone videos, something that wasn’t clear to listeners.

@@DawnofExistence well the cab has the V30 speaker. When I use the cab with my Bugera G5 infinium it sounds crisp and clean. I haven’t gotten a chance to try the amp with a different cab though.

That Orange cab is pretty good.
The cab used for these videos is a Crate Blue Voodoo cab with the original Crate/Eminence speakers. They definitely sound different from a V30.
We do however have a Black Blue Voodoo with original V30s as well.
Cabs and speakers make a massive difference with your tone.
