Embark on a journey with me through the heart of Madhya Pradesh as I explore Gwalior after my adventure in Kanha Tiger Reserve. In my last video, I shared my thrilling tiger safari tale from Kanha, and today, I pick up right where I left off.
From Kanha National Park to Gwalior, my journey was quite the ride. Hitching a lift from a stranger on a bike, hopping on local buses, and even catching a train from Jabalpur, I finally arrived in Gwalior.
First stop: Jai Vilas Palace, a majestic wonder built back in 1874 by Maharaj Jayaji Rao Scindia. Can you believe its value today? Nearly 4000 crore rupees! With 400 rooms, stunning chandeliers, and a banquet hall that used to serve drinks from a silver train, this palace is the epitome of luxury.
Next, I explored the grandeur of Maharaj Bada, a complex featuring seven distinct architectural styles, all commissioned by Maharaj Jiwaji Rao Scindia.
As the sun set, I headed to Gwalior Fort for the mesmerizing light and sound show, where the entire history of Gwalior unfolds against the backdrop of this ancient fortress.
