    S3 AA clutch kit is a must for the 2016 RZR XPT. Take offs are unbelievably smooth. Power is great on the low end. Shifts like never before super smooth. I used the 4/1/2/0 weight set up. I’m running stock exhaust with no tune for now. S3 tune and AA slip on exhaust coming soon.

    Excellent video on the breakdown and procedures. I am confused on the disassembly of the secondary clutch though. Nothing was changed or modified. Why was that taken apart? It looks as if this clutch kit was just to change out the weights in the primary and a new belt. Am I correct? An RPM chart was also mentioned. So once clutch kit is installed you test run in a clean area and verify RPM and speed to supplied chart? How are modifications made. Thanks for any help and information.

      A clutch kit was already installed in this machine. In most cases the spring and helix are changed with our clutch kits. Our clutch kit will come with a weight chart and will let you know how to test/modify the weighting if needed. We do a check around 55mph... run wide open from a roll on start. We target 8400-8600RPM with a tune. Thanks!

    What size are the washers that are suppose to go on that bolt you took of on the video at 2:50. I lost one of them and idk what size it's suppose to be.

    will cutting the limiter down in secondary make it more prone to rubbing the inside of cover?

    • @aftermarketassassins5491
      @aftermarketassassins5491  Před 7 lety +1

      I've never had any sort of cover rub on the XP turbo even with that limiter cut down. We do a ton of high speed testing, so I don't see it as an issue.

      Hey! Yes we have the same vehicle here at the shop, they slip the belt even from the factory. Even worse with more power or larger tires. See this kit: aftermarketassassins.com/products/ols/products/rzr-2021-turbo-xpt-turbo-s-s2-clutch-kit-102 Thanks!

    How applicable is this video to a non turbo 2017 XP 1000? Thinking mostly around the work on the primary.
    Can I change the springs and weights on the primary WITHOUT actually removing it from the machine?

    • @aftermarketassassins5491
      @aftermarketassassins5491  Před 6 lety

      Same process on the primary for the XP 1000. The clutch is easier to remove from the taper on the XP 1000. Most times when installing clutches on the non turbo style clutches, we pull the primary off. You do not have to though!

    So how are you holding the secondary clutch to tighten the bolt if you don't have a polaris holding tool?

    • @aftermarketassassins5491
      @aftermarketassassins5491  Před 4 lety

      We use an impact wrench to tighten. We know what our smaller impact is setup for and don't over do it. Otherwise you can use a torque stick on the impact.

  • @satherton
    @satherton Před 3 lety

    On my 2018 XPT the bigger washer on the secondary (the one with the little hole in it) is shown BEHIND the washer that the spring clip recesses into. Does that matter? Also I now see your notes that say to NOT cut down the secondary limiter washer. Problem is I already did it before I saw the notes for the video. Does that hurt anything?

    • @aftermarketassassins5491
      @aftermarketassassins5491  Před 3 lety

      Just make sure you run the primary clutch limiter, if you do that you will be fine with the cut down secondary limiter. The primary limiter should limit enough. The washer stack from the factory on 2016-18 models should go: clutch, holed washer, cup washer, snap ring, then the bolt+washer on the end of the shaft.
