Jay is such a classy guy. It is a rare thing for someone to have achieved that level of success and maintain the regular guy accessibility that he appears to have.

Huge respect to Jay Leno for keeping these rare cars on the road. Letting Tyler drive the 600 was so cool of him.
Jay has dropped hints that his 600 is one of his favorite cars because of his first job ferrying exotics around the East Coast. It's a fantastic machine for sure.

It remarkable how Tyler has been welcomed into the fold of the really big, big guys. But it's not too surprising because he is a lot like them in terms of his generosity, accessibility, and humility. Having class gets noticed.

Craig Jackson seems really cool and down to earth. What a video!
Right? I was kind of surprised by that. You can tell he definitely is a total car nerd, not just a rich collector.
It’s clear to see both Craig and Jay have taken a shine to Hoovie and treat him as the legitimate heir to their mountain of knowledge in the car world! Jay telling Tyler he likes his Cadillac! Craig asking him if he’s had a chance to drive his Z06 yet! These are not pedantic, grumpy older guys telling off the young buck coming up in the automotive world, these are guys who see themselves (their younger selves) in Tyler and are giving him their own seal of approval! What a video indeed!!
Jay pops up at car events all over so cal. Not to mention Pebble Beach. He's always approachable and a delight. Hoovie's sense of humor seems to be a good fit with Jay.
What fascinates me about this is that both Jay and Craig were dropping commentary which clearly show’s they’re watching your content.
I mean, fair enough, you get to meet and spend time with them, however, as a content creator…to have the respect and attention of 2 of your most hallowed peers has got to be the win for me

Jay, if you’re reading this, millions of other people and me all are so glad you’re OK!!! I owned a Merc 600 Grosser in the 1990's and together with my friend John Spilsbury drove this car in the 1993 TARGA TASMANIA rally (2000km)
It was a dream to drive, fast and it handled beautifully. A temporary Ferrari could not catch us.
John and l spent a few hours after every days rallying, checking brakes and tightening up suspension and wheels.
It was great fun and the public just loved the big beast. We added a customized badge on the bootlid "HUSHPOWER"
The grosser won the trophy "Most Spectacular Car On The Queenstown Rollercoaster"
On the fourth day we EXPLODED two tyres on the Cethana Rally Stage and the delay lost our chance for a Targa trophy.
John and mysel always wanted to meet Jay Leno, but imagined that Jay maybe too busy to see us.
I still own a red 1970 Mercedes W111 3.5 Coupe bought in 1990.
The Coupe was also in TARGA TASMANIA in 1992 and 2016.
In 1992 Sir Stirling Moss and his wife Pat were rallying a Shelby Cobra with car number 329 whilst we had number 327.
Number 328 had not turned up, so every morning we shared the Start and Stirling shared some of his experiences with us.
We also got to meet Sir Jack Brabham and Danny Hulme
Now, in 2022 these three Aces drive Rallies on a higher plane.
This is why I stay subscribed to this channel. It's great honest content. You and Leno got on just like good friends showing the true face of car culture. We all share a passion for the combustion engine and we all get along! Love it!
