They make limited production, overpriced sports cars largely based on outsourced materials from bigger car companies with some in-house design and fab work. Tesla didn't just engineer a car, they engineered the material and the means of production for that car, they engineered their own AI that's years ahead of competition, and have made investments in supercharging infrastructure (which dwarfs all other competition combined) that will eventually replace gas stations. Don't get me wrong, what those companies do is still impressive, but Tesla is doing something in the auto industry no one has been able to do for over 100 years. Sort of like comparing a chef with a successful local restaurant to a multi-billion dollar chain like McDonald's which revolutionized the way we eat.

Raphael Brandão it's already overcome, they've ramped up orders from suppliers so probably on track for the 5k/w target. They'll also be focusing on automating the remaining aspects of their production so they'll probably be able to cut even more costs. I'm going Tesla all the way
Just going to leave this here in case of helps anybody out… I own a 2014 Tesla model S P85. I purchased it as a Certified Pre-Owned through Tesla back in August 2017. I fell in love with Tesla back in December of 2012, and I remember every detail as if it just happened. Before this point in time, I hated electric cars. I said every bad thing you could possibly say about them... this was until I came face-to-face with a Model S at one of their stores. I was blown away by how beautiful the car looked, and I was even more impressed with all the features that it has. The Tesla employee explained many different important factors to me, and was able to answer every question or concern that I had with factual information. She was also explaining how the company worked and how it was different than a typical car dealership or brand even... and at the time, Tesla only had 8 superchargers. 6 in California, 2 in New York. Tesla was riding on a hope that the Supercharger network would be scattered across the world where they are sold... Us enthusiasts and owners believed they would, and luckily they did... to the point where you were spoiled for choice when it comes to charging. It only took 30 minutes for this to become my number one favorite car, and I have desperately wanted one every day for the next (very close to) FIVE years! We all had to believe and Tesla… And I had to believe one day I would be able to own something that is out of this world. Let me tell you that I have driven almost everything there is to drive, and there's NOTHING in the world that compares to a Tesla. Tesla is not 100% perfect, no company is. They have had a few issues, but Tesla is very quick to solve them over any one else. Forget about every negative stereotype about electric cars. Forget about the naysayers. Forget about government conspiracies and everything else that's crap against electric cars and Tesla as a company. Believe that they will stride and offer INSANELY cool cars. Because they do. Elon Musk bet it all on something he believed in, when all odds were against him in the worst way. That tells you something! There is so many different things to love about a Tesla no MATTER WHO YOU ARE, and what your background is.
