Very cool can’t wait for my own unboxing in a few weeks. The VR1 camera used to full of the OLED tv down the back all the time. It was more the little plastic stand. Then had to try and get that from the back which was a nightmare, Then have to set it right again. By the time I had done that I just put on a normal standard game on😂.
Man I remember watching Brian Tong with Cnet when he was covering PS3 stuff! At that time I was like 10-11 years old watching all his coverage on that stuff. Crazy how over a decade later I'm still watching his content!

I can’t lie imma really miss the lights on the PSVR made it look like Tron and I loved that look so much lol but this still looks amazing I can’t wait to get it when it goes on Sale one day 😍

With the price increases occurring across the tech landscape I dont really have a problem with the price IF the games are consistent. They need to prove out a roadmap and strong first party support at least
Yes content is king. Obviously we don't know how many and how good facebook and sony's games are going to be. As someone who already owns a Playstation and quest the psvr2 seems much more promising in terms of graphical fidelity but if meta offers substantially better games then I'd have to switch back.
One thing PSVR2 definitely has going for it is track record. Quest games are very basic compared to PSVR1 games. Sony really delivered some epic games on the first one and they delivered consistent quality games for years. With PSVR2 you can be sure there will be epic games coming out for it. Quest 3 will still be underpowered compared to it.
Love my Quest 2 but PSVR2 is going to be so much better and also way better than Quest 3. If you like VR, and have a PS5, PSVR2 is a no brainer.

There will be some games I continue to play on my Quest 2 but I think PSVR is going to set a new bar for me. Even if it does have a cable.

Hi Brian, can I ask you a question? When it scales the free space, does it include the space over objects too? What I mean, is I have a room that is barely 2.3m/2.3m, but I have a sofa so it takes half a meter of space from one side. I wanted to ask when it looks for the requirement of 2/2m, does this sofa space count or not? Thank you.

That would be awesome,and with foveated rendering becoming more advanced we could finally see standalone headsets with really good graphics. I think that's the only way vr becomes mainstream. If you can get a reasonable price wireless headsets with great graphics nothing cam hold back vr.

As a PS VR-1 owner, I really want to get this, but my Quest 2 has spoiled me with the lack of being tethered.
I’m probably still going to get it anyways.
The games and experiences and fidelity is what will make the difference. But I use Quest 2 for all my VR experiences as of now.
I think that's going to change. A lot.
I think the cable not being able to be detached is what bothers me the most.
It depends on the type of VR games you play. Most games won't really be impacted by a tether. Only games like beat saber will be annoying
Quest 2 has Just a Mobile Chip, it will be a huge difference
If you don’t like a cable there are always options, cable suspension if setup right on your roof will feel like it’s wireless and you will legitimately forget you’re cabled. Cables can also be ran behind and always should be ran behind if you don’t buy suspension. ($30 on Amazon)
The question is, can I plug it into my ps5 and use it to replace my TV with warzone 2?
Personally I don't care about any of the vr titles I just want a 4k tv headset compatible to use on my ps5 or Xbox series x when I'm on vacation or in the car
Yes you can, you only need a tv for first time setup and then you can use the headset as one.

How long is the cable from vr to console? And is it possible to see youtube/netflix on the vr?
It's over 10 feet. It's long. It might even be 15 fee? But at least 10 feet for sure. I didn't measure it T the time and haven't yet but it's super long.

Oh and about Netflix and CZcams: there’s a cinema mode which basically allows you to play flat games on a giant cinema screen, hence the name. And because Netflix and CZcams are on PS5, I’d say you definitely can.
Will Ps5vr2 have Demo games on launch of the headset?
There are already a few demos confirmed. E.g. Song in the smoke.

People who complain about a single cord are literally insane.
A cord is not noticeable, buy cable suspension and you will never feel it $30 also stop whining like a bitch. A quest 2 will always be shit compared to this because it has no cord.
Weird that they don't include a better charger. You can buy magnetic adapters for ~$5 and I imagine you can get super creative with a 3D printed design and some nice paint.
There's an official magnetic charger available to preorder with it. I got it it's very sleek and practical.

I have a question... Why do they STILL use USB-A ? Why not use C in both ends? I swear seeing usb-A is like seeing a walkman.
Because the PS5 only has 1 USB-C port and they want you to be able to charge your controllers without unplugging the headset

- headset is USB-C
- controllers cables is USB-C to USB-A since is used only for charge
hope this can be use on pc with some third party app or why not official mode too since its price cost same as a console and not as a accesory
@@meatman2024 There's no advantage to using only USB-C. USB-A is not outdated, it's a part of current standards. They're just different for practical reasons. Why would they use a less sturdy connection?

It has a theater mode, so you can use it as a regular display for flat games. I don't know what the screen size is supposed to be (like if it would be comparable to a 100" screen or something), but I'm assuming it will be pretty large and comfy.
Yeah that’s basically confirmed, I saw a review from one of the people who went to Fast Travel Games to test it out, and he powered the thing on and went through all the menus, and there was an option for cinema mode. Pretty sure that video has been taken down by Sony though, as there is embargo.

Normally I would agree, but this uses completely different tracking technology compared to the first headset. Games can't work unless developers update the games themselves, which at least some are doing.
You are talking about two different types of technology, not two different generations of the same technology. I imagine more and more games previously on Psvr1 will be ported over.

It is, you just have to wait for developers to update it to work with the hardware. Of course there’s always a chance the developers would refuse to do so or charge a small fee for an upgrade, but usually that would mean it’s because there’s a remastered version

@@briantong Fair enough! I just want a bigger selection of games to choose from. There weren’t many top tier PSVR games, and it took a long time for Sony to grow their library for the VR. The $750 price will be hard to swallow though 😩 I expected it to be more than the original but not by this much…
@@wesleyp3579 There are so many good Games available at Launch GT7 No Man's Sky Resi 8 Call of the Mountain and over 100 PSVR2 Games in Development. I am Not worried about enough Content. And old Games get free Upgrades also Like Moss and Saints and Sinners

New Technology is Always expansive
Sony has a bad reputation of giving up on their products early so I wouldn't even trust this product whatsoever. This is still about 10 years out at this point anyways. Sure wish we would stop rushing her way into the next phase of technology and just appreciate where we are at, at this point.
Not to mention, I've already returned to 3 PlayStation 5 games within 10 hours of trying to play them because they just absolutely sucked. Hogwarts Legacy, single player game wouldn't even let me play it without having to buy something to go online to download a patch.
Come on Sony, you can do better than this. Just bought my PS5 about 5 days ago and not really liking it so far.

I think Sony don't allow these early access content creator to show any gameplay yet. This will violate their contract with Sony for future early product reviews. This is why we see nothing but products opening reviews only.

The embargo on unboxing was just lifted. This video was probably recorded weeks ago. We can expect gaming reviews embargo to be lifted in about a week. A week before the release.

The bundle is not worth it. It’s not a physical copy of the game so I’m going with the clean stand alone vr2 box. Looks so much better
