  • A walkthrough of the features and benefits of the new for 2021 KTM Terra Adventure suit. I really liked this one on paper, but the material quality and some of the overlooked features means this is going to get returned sadly. Some great ideas here, but the overall execution is just a tad lacking.

This made for offroad adventure I suppose and is nor designed for sliding on tarmac. That is what the shop guys told me.

Hope you don’t mind me saying but when doing reviews please review the sleeves and ease of putting gloves on and off if cuffs are tight and limiting room for gloves summer or winter
    Keep up the good work

great review! The commercial for this set is really tempting. It's good to see the early customer review and help me to make the decision.

Thank you for the review. Was about to purchase as it looks great and the features are tempting. But as you mentioned in the video, I am not quite confident on the material too. It may not be worth the price...

Did you use the jacket while riding a motorcycle or just at home? How would you compare the ventilation to an Adeventure Spec Atacama or Mongolia jacket? Is it worth building layers with them or buying a KTM Terra set?

I tried it on, decided to make this video to help other people looking at it, and returned the suit. Just wasn't confident in the materials being any good in a crash.
Ventilation is going to be better on an AS jacket, but for a controllable ventilation one this Terra is quite good. I really like the secondary rear exhausts so you won't block the outlets off entirely with a hydration pack.

Thank you for the review. The Product Description show SAS-TEC protectors on hip and knee. Are there any protectors or pocket for tailbone?

Thanks for the review. Is there a waterproof liner for pants as well, or just for the jacket?

There’s a zip in waterproof yeah. I can’t remember for sure, but I don’t think there was an option to wear it over top like wirh the jacket .

I recently bought pants and jacket. I too feel that the ripstop material is very lightweight, although high impact areas are reinforced with exception of the seat of pants, which makes zero sense.
I've been riding in 100+ weather and ventilation is excellent. However, I have a KTM 1290 SAR which is known for extreme engine heat and when sitting in traffic, my hamstrings were being cooked to the point of being very uncomfortable (legs were very, very red when I got home). I have KLIM Dakar pants that I've worn for 3+ years and never experienced that due to thicker fabric.
All that said, I am going to keep the Terra gear. The KLIM gear is awesome, but it doesn't vent nearly as well and is heavier and not as comfortable.

Yeah, if they’d doubled up the shoulders and the seat it wouldn’t be as bad. Really weird they they reinforced the top of the shoulders by the neck only. Not sure how often that area hits the ground…
Ride safe! The venting is great for sure

Appears to be tite around the knee area not allowing enough slack for knee braces/ guards.

It’s made to be run with the integrated knee pads. If you need room for braces, the Defender line is KTM’s solution.
