  • A short basic video on my latest purchase. The KTM Terra Adventure jacket. Great jacket and I am very happy so far with it. I woiuld still use my Rukka in the colder weather and also for long road riding days. But for everyday fun ride outs where the weather is great and warm. And possibly off road rides too this jacket is very adaptable

    Thank you very much for the video. I was looking for for something exactly like that. As I was watching it, I purchased one online. Your review helped me make my decision. Best regards, Ron.

      Hiya Ron! No worries and thank you kindly for the message. Lovely to hear the vid helped. This jacket is my go to as standard now. Very adaptable unless it’s really wintery cold. But tons of venting. And looks great. 👍
      All the best

    Nice video as always mate, well done. I have this jacket also and other than that horrible orange pocket ( which I removed) its a great jackets for all the reasons you mention. It also has a water pocket under the rear back protector with an access for a tube across the shoulder. I have pants also and again other than the orange right lower leg they are as good as the jacket. I recently took my 2021 SAR to TET Spain from Germany ( 6k kms round trip - home in 100 kmhr winds at 2c )and i used every feature there was on both jacket and pants. And as you said the jacket is light and while not so warm, the pants were perfect in both cold and warm conditions and i used a Gerbing Heated Liner underneath the jacket and basically it gave me a really great combination, I could remove the Gerbing when off road and hot and open the vents and open the leg vents and just zip it up and plug it in again when on the cold transitions, I really like the jacket for so many reasons. I also tested the water proof ( liner ) which is actually an outer jacket, once out of its (pocket, pocket ) you need to be Houdini to put it back so I stored it under the seat in a ziplock bag. Again great Vid mate, hope life is treating you well.

      Hiya Paul. Thank you mate for the great feedback. I agree with everything you said. It's a very versatile jacket and definitely made for the likes of what you have explained. And also thank you for confirming my fears regarding getting the waterproof liner back into its pocket haha. I have not looked at it yet 🤣 for that very reason (knowing I'll never get it back in as smart as it was initially).
      I would have loved the pants too but way too tall for me. As usual no short arse version.
      The venting on this jacket is awesome. Definitely is going to be my go to jacket over the summer. So far very impressed.
      Make use it on next off road fun.. but depends if I fancy getting it trashed. It's a nice jacket after all 😁👍

    Good review. Ricardo, been a great help to me as have a 22 SAS 1290. Have had issues but love this when riding. You have any overheating? First time off-road on fire roads only hot sign comes up an yellow banner!! And it’s 50 degrees out(F not Celsius!)

      Hiya Krusher. Cheers mate great hearing from you. I haven't had any issues with my bike at all. It really surprises me to hear of the different issues people have experienced. I'm wondering if it was the later batches that had more issues. Mine was an April 21 bike so very early for this model. So far so good on and off road mate. Keep an eye on it and mention it to your dealer 👍

    Ricardo not related to the jacket sorry, have you found a set of metal bark busters that will fit with decent clearance to the tft screen? I don’t think the plastic ones will save a lever in a drop. I don’t think mashing the tft would be good either! BTW your videos have been very helpful it’s like cheating I wired in my gps no problem with your help.

    • @RicardoYeep
      @RicardoYeep  Před 2 lety

      Hello Erik thanks for comment. To be honest I have not had any problems so far with my existing bark busters and metal frames. I have about 10mm clearance from the TFT due to not using the spacer. And also due to how I've positioned them. It does take some playing around though to get it just right.
      But I agree.
      Cheers

    Thanks for your well presented review. Question: Do you experience exhaust heat mainly on right leg and if so are you investigating a heat shield?
    I’m about to collect my new 22 SAR.

    • @RicardoYeep
      @RicardoYeep  Před 2 lety

      Hiya Chris. Cheers again for the positive vibes. As for the exhaust heat. I don't experience any at all. The new design and split rads with Dual fans blows heat outwards and away from the rider. This fixes the common complaint on the previous gen bikes. So no I don't have need for a shield. 👍
      Congrats on the new bike. Hope you get many smiles out of it and trouble free 🙏
      Cheers

    Does the waterproof liner go on the outside of the jacket? I know Revit will even if that's not the purpose of it. I find it better to wear it outside. Easier to put on and keeps the jacket dry.

    • @RicardoYeep

    Hey Ricardo, just noticed you have the Touratech Toolbox installed. Did you have any troubles installing it together with the cases? I can't get mine on together with the cases. The rear clamp of toolbox gets in the way of one of the bumbers of the case.

      Hello there mate! Cheers for the comment and watching. Much appreciated. These I recommend as they are a great all round jacket. Probably too cold for winter but it’s not made for that anyway. Although I was out in it yesterday with a heated body warmer which was spot on. Look the part too. Am sorry but not sure of the actual manufacturer. I guess KTM would keep that too secrets 😆 👍

      Hiya Gary! Spot on mate exactly the same reason I have it. I took both my Rukka and this KTM jacket in my Pyrenees ACT trio a few weeks ago. Top jacket and my go to as long as it’s not freezing out. Very versatile and waterproof with its over layer. And soo cool with all venting open on the sweaty hot slow off roading trails. A life saver 👍
