    Hey there. Thank you for telling us how thick the thermal pads should be. Been searching far and wide for the darn things.

      you can always get .5mm pad sheet and just stack them to get to the desire height, thermal pads can be stacked.

    Thanks for the tutorial, it helped. I have 2 notes though:
    1. If the laptop has additional SSD in SSD socket, one should consider removing it too before removing motherboard or else it won't go
    2. Before removing wifi module the white cord was up and the black was down 5:00. After bringing back they switched places 20:55. Is it important?

      Regarding your question, if you have a flexor cable connected to your SSD, you must remove it before proceeding.
      As for the WiFi cables, there is no difference in color, so you can swap them without any issues. They are both simple wire antennas, with one being black and the other white. The black one is typically used for Bluetooth, while the white one is for WiFi. BUT they both do the same exact work as both are simple antenna cable.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

    Hi
    My laptop is still heating after applying the thermal paste
    Do you happen to have any idea about how this can happen

      Regarding your question, what are the temps of the laptop under load and when is idle, also what brand of the paste you used?

    • @hemantsangle9204
      @hemantsangle9204 Před rokem

      @@uFixTek the temperature keeps jumping up and down no matter if its under load or idle and after some time the temp will got 100c for fraction of second for one core and rest will follow the same. The usual range of temp is between 52 to 100
      Ps i forgot the brand of the thermal paste

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Před rokem

      The brand of the thermal paste is extremely crucial; it must be original and of good quality. If you use something from a shady brand, well, that's where your issue lies!

    @HaploPrime Před 22 hodinami

    This is such a terrible design. You should not have to disassemble every part in the laptop just to replace the thermal paste

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Před 5 hodinami +1

      I agree with you, but this is done by design as the brands don't like people opening and touching the inside of the laptops, so they make it harder every time.
      cheers🍻
