She shares the tools she has in place to manage her mental health, how she keeps a sense of normalcy in her life despite her level of fame, and what you can expect from this challenging season of The D’Amelio Show.

I'm sorry u have to go thru that but don't compare ur situation with someone else cuz everyone has their own problems.

I loved how they discussed that Charli did not have anything simply handed to her. One of the common things that people say about her, is that she’s a “pretty, privileged spoiled white girl who got famous from making videos” and I find that to be disrespectful towards Charli because she never asked for the life that she currently lives, and for the life she was living before all of this fame. She never forced or demanded for anyone to watch her, she was just having fun with making videos and so many people found her TikToks and started watching them. So many people love to hate on her for all of that, when we’re the ones who choose to watch her, and give her a platform….she’s also not a cocky person and she is very humble to. She definitely did her thing on DWTS, because although most people especially her haters already knew that she was gonna win…..DWTS isn’t a show that’s just so easy to win, you actually have to be in the dance room all day and rehearse which can take hours and most people don’t even realize that Charli has always been a dancer. When she was much younger, she did dance competitions and there’s still a few videos of her dancing like that on CZcams but of course every dancer is different and has different flexibility and technique levels. I truly believe that most of the hate comes from jealousy and envy, of people who want Charli’s life but who don’t realize that this level of fame….comes at a cost, a cost of not a lot of privacy and so much bullying and criticism. Yes Charli isn’t perfect and she’s obviously made some mistakes in the past…..but so have all of us, none of us are perfect we’re only human. It’s okay to make mistakes, as well as you’re learning from them and bettering yourself because hating on someone and bullying someone for it…..not okay.

I didn’t understand why she became so popular on tiktok, other than people objectifying her. She’s a beautiful girl and a talented dancer. I love hearing her talk intellectually like this. I think so much of it just comes from growing up. She did amazing on dancing with the stars and I hope she keeps pursuing her craft and not what she thinks people want to see. Authenticity is the best and it’s so hard to own when you have a world telling you what you should and shouldn’t be.. good for her

Knowing charli and watching her since she was 15 yr old who first blew up on tiktok, she's genuinely SO strong. I remember when she hit 100mil and everyone turned on her for a mistake a normal 16 yr old would make. That live literally broke me, how ppl treated this poor girl and still do makes me so upset for her. And I also wanna say how proud I am of her for getting herself thru that and still going today with a smile on her face is not easy. I hope she realises how inspiring and strong she is. Sounds like AUTISM and / or ADHD. It's way more common than people realize, and women tend to get misdiagnosed. I was diagnosed at 40 even though I was tested since kindergarten. Once I had the explanation, it helped put all those years of anxiety and panic into perspective, and now I'm thriving.

Girl Tay, I'm a bit older than you and was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 12. Growing up, there was so much stigma and misinformation about ADHD in girls/women and taking medication. I hope you will share some of your journey of learning about your own symptoms. The fact that you achieved academic success and completed nursing school unmedicated is something I'm so interested to hear about. I think my life would have turned out much differently without "early" diagnosis, due to test anxiety being a really big issue for me.
Edit: This was a great interview. Didn't know much about Charli before this but I have huge respect for opening up about mental health! Very cool.

My mum taught us about seizures as children. I remember walking downtown with my family and this man in front of us fell to the ground had proceeded to have a grand Mal seizure. My mum was the only one who ran to help him. She instructed my dad how to roll him to his side and placement of arms and legs to help keep him on his side. A crowd grew around us and finally he came to just after the ambulance / paramedics arrived. He had smacked his head when he hit the sidewalk so he needed stitches etc. I was 9 years old and it has never left me and I remember being so proud of my mum. It's so important to know how to react if something happens around you. It is just as important as learning how to use an AED. Everyone should have at least basic first aid knowledge.

Great episode! Didn’t think I’d relate to this episode as much as I did and am grateful that I took the time to watch it. Not to sound condescending as that is not my intent at all, I’m really proud of Charli and her family for staying so grounded and keeping who they are while realizing mental health struggles and addressing them and not ignoring them. I am so far from the spotlight but I see how even a dim spotlight changes people so to have such a large platform at that age and be as insightful as she is, is a really wonderful thing. Not that Charli will read this but just in case, you aren’t alone, we ALL look back and our younger selves and just want to give them a hug bc everything seems SO big of a deal in our younger years that it’s not until those times have passed that we can self reflect on actual importance of them in a much different way. I wish only the best for Charli and her family. Keep your voice, your thoughts and feelings matter.
And lastly on a lighthearted side note, YES criminal minds is a fantastic show! Honestly so sad it couldn’t continue. Some episodes are a bit much to handle I’ll admit but the cast is amazing and the character relationships are some of my favorite of all time; even when individuals change they leave and brought in so well, just a great show and wish it could have continued!

I can totally relate!!! I started pulling out my eyelashes in my early 20’s after I was married! I worked as a cosmetologist so I was very into fashion and makeup which made it more stressful! I would many times pull them all out. I would have to were false eyelashes so that I wouldn’t look weird. As you pull them out they start hurting like one more needs to come out and just keeps repeating 😢. I am now almost 63 and haven’t done it since I was about 40. I only found out recently that it was related to anxiety. When you do it it is so embarrassing and you think it is only you who does something stupid like that. I was also diagnosed with ADD. It also has presented itself in picking sores on my face or neck, ears and nose. This part is still active to this day.

I recently lost my mom who was my everything. I have a 2 yr old and 3 yr old.... They kick my ass daily.... But without my mom, I feel so much more overwhelmed, exhausted and just sad. Recently got into therapy and praying that it'll help. Because of my boys, I force myself to do my makeup every day, force myself to get out of the house daily even if it's a quick errand. I don't want my boys to suffer because of my issues.

I always thought she was a brat but seeing her struggles. She relates to so many of us. I hace tricotellimania, and i pick my eyelashes too, and seeing how these people who i never think would have these, and how long ive struggled with it and hated it, i wish i could meet people who relate to this because i know literally no one

Just an FYI, I found a coffee that I could have from Purify Coffee-look it up. I no longer have the anxiety I had from coffee due to the ingredients and the organic way it is made. I do limit myself to 2 per day though, and the 2nd cup is decaf. I prefer the one that is for liver vitality or digestion.

She was given a life she really didn't ask for. Her parents sold her out. It's like when parents would take their kids to those Disney auditions that were all popular on the radio. The kids don't know what they're getting into until it's too late.
